Don’t like it. Want to stay at #9 get Oliver or Gary
Oliver would be great.
Gary will be a bust and I'm not talking about the Hof version . No thanks to Mr Workout Warrior.

are the 5 I am almost certain that go before Oliver. Hopefully teams panic and trade up for Lock and Haskins. We need Tampa to select Sweat. I am doubting Oliver makes it to 9. Aaron Donald won back to back defensive player of the year awards. It's hard not to see similarities. Bills run to podium to select Oliver if he makes it to 9 IMO.
That begs the question- what do Bills do if Oliver and those 5 are not available? Do we trade down? Do we select Gary or Wilkins? Jonah or Jawaan? DK? Hock? And if Lock and Haskins make it to 9-we are in prime spot for QB needy teams(plenty of them) to leap Denver at 10. So that just might be a nice consolation prize if we do lose out on Oliver
Oliver is not there take TJ Hock all day. I dont like Sweat he's to tight in the hips and plays to high to much same can be said about Gary those 2 guys are the most overrated players in this draft. They will be solid NFL players but not the production u want from a top 10 pk.
TJ on the other hand has to me the highest floor and possibly the highest ceiling out of any prospect in this draft. Kid can flat out ball and he loves the game and plays with ton of energy This type of attitude and passion will be great for the team and can permeate threw the locker room.
If it was up to me I'm taking Oliver or Hock to start this draft.

No offense, but the guy is hot garbage.
Marshall is older (we already got Zo). I do like Brown, always thought he was a good player.
Marshall is 29 not that old .

Finally someone talking about our LB's
I felt like I was the only one who thought we needed to address the position. Last year we had one of the worst LB groups in the league. Milano is a great player but he isn't a top 10-15 ranked guy at the position. When McD was in Carolina he had the best LB core in the league. LB's are the MOST important position in his scheme. The fact we have yet to address the position this offseason tells me that might be the pick in round 1. Edmunds is still learning and we still don't know if he is able to play in that MLB role.
Our poor run defense didn't come from the dline, it was b/c our LB's are not good.
Jamie Collins is a free agent we should pick him up. He can play multiple positions for us or sign Dion Jordan put him under Lorax tutelage for a season. U also have MLBs like Brandon Marshall and Zach Brown

Releasing Ivory leads me to believe that the Bills will use a high draft pick on RB. That RB will help out Josh, and probably be the 3rd down back. My guess is Beane will wait and see which player slides to 9, if a high grade player is not available, he will trade down. And after trade down, all bets are off on first pick, and that very well could be RB. Could our first pick be Devin Singletary or Josh Jacobs? Where do you see the Bills drafting a RB? Whom?
Not the yr for taking a bk in first 2rds. I hope McBeane sees this clearly wait for the value to rise to the top so it could be anywhere starting from the 3rd to 6th rd that they take one.
I truly believe the Bills will take either TJ Hockenson or Ed Oliver with there first pk then depending on who they get they will trade bk into the late first for either a TE or DT.

Judging by the buzz on him, he's not going to be available in a drop down. He might not even be there at 9.
I think Jax and Det will be very possible landing spots for TJ.

Feels like Hock. There have been several mentions from McBeane on the importance of a TE, especially for a young QB. They saw Greg Olsen up close with Cam in Carolina. Daboll saw how Brady used Gronk as his security blanket. If he's there at 9 I think they run the card in then the draft starts after that for us. I don't believe any of the olinemen have separated vs what'll be available at 40 and an argument could be made the same is true for the DL depending on who is there.
Exactly draft Hock then trade bk into late first for either Tillery, Wilkins or Simmons.

didn't simmons tear an acl at or around combine time?.....and will he likely miss his entire rookie year? could the bills in fact get him at 40?
could they/ would they afford to use that pick for that this year?
Why not if we don't take a DT early it's worth the wait and investment for longterm. Especially if we can sign a DT like Suh for 1yr that would be perfect.

I love this change. It should help remove bias against small market teams like the Bills. As fans, we just want the right calls made.
Not necessarily if anything this gives the NFL more flexibility to fix games. Think about holding on any play u can call it. Bills score a TD Belicheck throws the red flag all of a sudden the td is reversed.

These new fans don’t realize how awesome that show really was. Best football highlight show ever created.
Nothing will ever beat the 90s Prime time show . It was must watch TV for all Bills fans.
A great show to watch in this era is Turning Point on NBC sports. They get in depth on there highlights and breakdown the Gm perfectly. It's more like Inside the NFL but better.

I would have the Titans as a reach to get to 10 wins but I do agree the AFC overall is a better conference than it was 2 or 3 years ago. I think as well as the 4 games you mentioned the Bills also have Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Washington and Denver who are all in various states of flux. It is a real opportunity this year I think to make a big jump. Maybe even a scale of jump that gives a slightly false impression of where they are overall in their development.
Pitt & Balt are still tough gms. Those teams still have a ton of talent. Even Denver depending on where we play them is not easy.

I like the Mock#2 better . But I would be elated with both scenarios. I think there's at least 5 to 6 starters that can amount from both drafts.

I did 2 mocks via Draft Network . I wanted to pin them but it wouldn't let me so I'll enter them manually. Which one u guys prefer #1 or #2?
#1 Mock
1st #9 DT Ed Oliver
2nd #40 TE Irv Smith
3rd #74 RB Darrell Henderson
4th #112 OT Bobby Evans
4th # 131 DT Daniel Wise
5th # 147 WR Preston Williams
5th # 158 CB Kendall Sheffield
6th # 181 DE Carl Grander son
7th #225 WR Slot Penny Hart
7th # 228 LB Khalil Hodge
#2 Mock
1st #9 TE TJ Hockenson
2nd #40 DT3 Jeffrey Simmons
3rd #74 WR JJ Arcega Whiteside
4th #112 OG Nate Davis
4th #131 RB Rodney Anderson
5th # 147 CB Kendall Sheffield
5th # 158 RB Bryce Love
6th # 181 CB Hamp Cheevers
7th # 225 WR Slot Penny Hart
7th #228 LB Khalil Hodge
I love the Draft Network . I believe there grading system is very realistic to what's available during the draft. It's much better then 1st pk.com there all over the place and the u can draft a superteam by making unrealistic trades.

I think it's a wise strategy to not spend a lot of resources on a premier free agent RB like LeVeon Bell or using a high draft pick this season. It has been shown again and again that the learning curve moving from the college game to the NFL is easiest at the RB position. Kamara, Barkley, Kareem Hunt are recent examples. Build the rest of the offense that needs time to gel this season. O-lines need time to gel. The QB-WR-TE relationship needs time to develop.
I believe that this year is going to be a fun year to be a Bills fan and I expect we'll make the playoffs, but I still don't think we are ready to make a Super Bowl run this year. I think after this season we will have a more experienced QB, a solid and cohesive O-line to protect him, and WRs and TEs that have learned how to catch Allen's bullets. Heading into the 2020 season the only thing we may be missing to have a truly explosive offense is a dynamic, world class running back.
I think that 2020 is the year that we grab the best RB in the draft class. A RB who can catch the ball, pass protect, and hammer the rock. Drop him behind that great O-line, getting the ball from a QB who is a threat to run too, and who has a passing attack that is game enough to keep the defense honest and stop them from stacking the box, and you will see an offense every bit as explosive as Kelly, Thurman, and Andre Reed.
Drafting that RB stud next season will be the last piece of the offensive puzzle.
Yea we should target Rodney Anderson and Bryce Love in the 5th rd.

Maybe it was Donald Jones.

Game flow dictated alot of these bad sack numbers. If we are winning more we will get more sks and hurries.

I didn't read the whole post but if the Bills are willing to give a nice portion of the gambling profits towards building a stadium then NY state should give them the licensing they need.

with all the free agency moves apparently filling the most obvious holes ,the most glaring in now at de -edge rusher or olb in near future,, ,the highest rated being BOSA, and then ALLEN and SWEAT, ,is it possible that they are setting up a move for either ALLEN OR SWEAT ? lately some mock draft seeing them both at picks 5-7, IMO getting Allen would be game changer and Sweat reminds me of a young Charles Haley , I would welcome a move to get either one, your opinion?/ or can we wait and have one come to 9?
I watched Sweat this season ,he is just getting better every game it seems,
the way I see it adding ten more draft picks plus udfa's. would be a crowded camp.
some teams are so close to cap that more cuts still coming, ,I am curious who is still getting released either before or post draft, my understanding was teams needed 10 million set aside for draft , some teams are way under that the may have changed it but to sign them the teams still has to find cap space, so more cuts coming even before camps.
wish list for my draft goes like this.
1 sweat de or allen olb
2 dexter Lawrence dt ,or chris lindstrom og
3 riley ridley, deebo Samuel or ,miles boykin,, wrs.
4 benny snell rb , olive sagapolu, dt or beau benzschawel og
5 dieter ot or ,granderson olb , bryce love rb,,
any combination will keep me smiling this offseason
I wouldn't trade up for Sweat no way. He tends to play high way to much . He will get stonewalled in the NFL playing lIke that.

Honestly, that's what I noticed in his very first preseason game, and I've been sold ever since. On his first drop back I saw poise. When he drops back, he is immediately focused. No dear in headlights look to him like we've seen with basically every other Bills QB the past 15 years not named Fitzpatrick. His head is down and he's working the play. While he sits there, he never stays still- he chops his feet and points towards each read. When he makes a decision, the ball is out FAST. While he moves around, he makes sudden movements, and he runs around a lot, but he never looks panicked. He actually looks in control. Like, you get the feeling that if he can't get it done, nobody can. He just LOOKS like a QB when he plays. These are things that you can't easily teach. I think that Josh is going to be special. Not just because he has the talent and he works hard, but he is a true QB, which means he has a template to fill with all that hard work.
I agree with 95% of what u said he just needs to learn to trust his pocket and step up more sometimes. He leaves the pocket a little too early and that's a prb he had since college.
If he can just get that pocket awareNess and become more of a 85 -15 guy he can be seriously good. 85-15 = 85% passer, 15% runner

For the first time in a long time, we are going into an offseason with a lot of cash and not a lot of spots to fill. Yes, we can upgrade, but the end result will be the same of having to make some tough choices come camp time.
I’m taking a lot of signings with a grain of salt because I know they have to win the job. As much as I want them to sign some more guys, it will be tough without a job to guarantee.
With that being said, here’s my “would ya?”
Are you good with packaging picks to move up a few times in the draft? Instead of picks, what if we only walked away with 4, but it’s a top 5 pick, 2nd, 4th and 7th? (I’m guessing at trade results). But with the lack of holes, would you be okay sacrificing quantity picks for a home run, ie Josh Allen or Williams?
I’m going to trust the process, but with such a deep TE draft, I’d be okay with them trying to add an impact defensive player by trading up a bit.
Thoughts?
#9 Ed Oliver
#22 Trade with Baltimore
Send #2nd 40, 3rd 74th , 4th & 5th
Draft TJ Hockenson

I think your missing some guys but I think the slam dunk pick is TJ Hockenson. He's gonna be a stud for yrs to come. The others have red flags but also have massive potential.

Decision is needed by May 3rd - What say you Two bills drive?!
I voted yes - mostly because cap space isn't at a premium for next year, and you can cancel it for any reason other than injury.
I voted yes also . Maybe it can entice him even more to ball out next yr.

Absolutely needs to happen. The onside kick is completely pointless now. It has been completely neutered by the NFL. You are better off kicking it deep and hoping to force a fumble. In light of that, the NFL must adopt a new policy to keep games somewhat interesting in the end. This is that policy, this is the solution. Only a matter of time before it passes IMO.
They should revert to the old onside kick rules only for that play.

Justin Houston isn’t a “next day guy”
The Bills signed some “next day guys” early in FA. I’d say Morse, Cole B, and John Brown were guys that moved the needle a bit. They fit and they will provide stability in much needed positions. The other guys are all wild cards. Hope a few of them come up aces and draft well.
What does that mean Next day guy?
