    1. Arizona - Murray

    2. Raiders - Trade with San Francisco Bosa

    3. NY Jets - Allen

    4. San Francisco - Quinnen Williams

    5. Tampa Bay - White

    6.  NY Giants  - Sweat - this is my most unsure pick.  Sweat could go as high as 5 and fall as low as 25

    7. Jacksonville - Taylor

    8. Detroit - Bush

    9. Buffalo - Jonah Williams

This is what I think will happen not what I would do if I was GM for most of these clubs.  I think Beane tries to trade down but can't find any suitors.  I believe McDermott does not want an undersized Oliver at DT that argued with his coach.  I think Dawkins took a step back in both run and pass blocking last year and Nsekhe is at best a one year retread rental at RT.  I believe Beane would be happy landing Taylor, Williams, or Dillard but loathes to do so at #9.  Lastly, while I would take Hockenson or Fant at #9, I think the board is probably correct in that teams just don't put first round grades on TE's that often and Beane won't either.  With the top 7 defenders off the board, Beane albeit reluctantly takes a future All-Pro LT.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've never heard of an elite LT with short arms if there is 1 let me know either way there few and far in between.

  2. If Oliver and Hock are off the board please Beane put your dancing shoes on and bounce . I can care less where we bk up to in the first it could be to the end of the 1st and it won't matter. For me it's simple I got 6 elite positional players in this draft

    1. Quinnen

    2. Bosa

    3. White

    4. Oliver

    5. Allen

    6. Hock

Once these guys are off the board the drop off from 9 to 32 in talent isn't much. If u find a team to move up from 28th and give u a 1st next yr do it.  If a team offers a 2 & 3 for us to bk up to late teens do it.

This draft is perfect for moving bk and I realize plenty of teams probably want the same. With players like Sweat, Gary , Simmons and DK all possibly falling we should do the same and take advantage of the situation.  What looked like a top heavy draft in the top 10 has taken a major hit with these injuries to Simmons, Gary & Sweat now it's time to get out.

I was just wondering if the Bills have enough draft capital to get both Oliver and Hockenson in the draft?

Who would you take at 9 with hopes the other player drops to 15, 16 or 17.

It seems both players would help to complete the offense and defense.

    Any thought?

Most likely no but we might have enough for Hock & Simmons or Tillery.

I agree.  I think the success of the individual is a function of good college experience, athletic ability, effort exerted, learning ability of the player, teaching ability of the coaching staff, and the effectiveness of the offensive system in which the player is asked to function.  From everything I have read about Hockenson, he had good development at Iowa, is very athletic, is a high effort guy, and is a very smart player.  The team owns the responsibility to teach what is lacking and put him in a system that fits his ability.  He is the best TE prospect that has come along in a long time.  If he is the BPA at pick #9, there should be no hesitation.  There is a real chance that he will be gone before Pick #9.

It should not be overlooked Hock played in a pro system at Iowa.

Personally I think it's time for Murph to move on. Might just be me but I'm getting a "too big for his britches" feeling from listening to him lately... Maybe I'm just getting old

Murphy & Tasker the worst combo I ever heard in sports radio history i get nervous the brief times that I listen. To make things worse they will host the first round of the draft. U couldn't find 2 guys that had less knowledge of the draft then these 2 guys. Wgr and the Bills should of at least put CB, Joe B and Sal with them.  I mean it's the draft we need guys that know what there talking about.

Seattle want a first but of course they would..

As others have said, he seems to have been on the trading block a while yet there he still is waiting in the wings..

Maybe 40 gets it done ..

Maybe offer Hughes and a 2020 third..

They won’t be paying both Clark and Hughes in 2020..

If we're not willing to pay Hughes and Clark don't do the trade.  Doesn't make sense.  Unless we can trade Hughes for a late 2.

Interesting... I think there are definitely more than 8 non-QB players in this draft worthy of the 9th pick and would not trade down. You hope this is the last time they pick in the top 10 for awhile and you already have 10 picks and not a lot of roster spots. Unless it’s to trade down for a current player like Clark or Clowney, just stay at 9 and pick the best guy on the board. Imo

    Other then the obvious players

    Bosa

    Quinnen

    Allen

    White

I have 2 other guys worth a pk at 9 that's Hock & Oliver. So that's 6 players . I dont like Gary, Sweat, Taylor, Jonah, Burns at 9 I rather trade bk add some pks and get the same quality player at 14-15 .

    Here's my top 16 players

    1. Murray

    2. Bosa

    3. Quinnen

    4. Oliver

    5. Hock

    6. Allen

    7. White

8-16 are 2nd tier in my opinion any one of these players can go from pks 8-16

    8. Burns

    9. Sweat

    10. Taylor

    11. Haskins

    12. Jonah

    13. Gary

    14. Wilkins

    15. Fant

    16. Dilliard

So why not trade bk and draft anyone of these guys except for Haskins.

Here's a mock in this Scenario

    1. Cards- QB Murray

    2. 49ers- DE Bosa

    3. Jets- DT Quinnen

    4. Raiders- DT Oliver

    5. Bucs - LB White

    6. Giants- DE Allen

    7. Jags- TE Hock

    8. Lions- DE Sweat

At pk #9 we still have the options we get a call for Haskins at 9 with Washington, let's say we get a swap in 1st plus there 2nd and 3rd pk.

    9. Skins-  QB Haskins

    10. Broncos- LB Bush

    11. Bengals- OT Taylor

    12. Pack-  OT Jonah

    13. Fins- DE- Gary

    14. Falcons- DE Burns

    15. Bills - Wilkins or Fant

    I believe this.

I also believe that a team before 9 will take him before the Bills have a chance.

The Bills could be looking at a scenario where Bosa, Allen, Quinnen Williams, Ed Oliver, and TJ Hockenson are all off the board. Offensive line or Montez Sweat might be the only way to go at that point.

This is my worst fear and very likely to happen if this is the case take the best trade down we can.

This game has me lost.  No matter how I try to "game" the game, it won't give me anything above a 32,000 and change.  Look at this below draft.  All picks are A+, but the draft comes back and says, "A."  (no, this is not a real draft I would do for the team, but I'm trying to get a high score on First-Pick).   I even read an interview with the guy who runs the site, he stated the key is obtaining a 1st rounder next year.  I even did that.  What the heck!!  Any suggestions!

Your score is: 32234 (GRADE: A)

    Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 22 (BALT): Andre Dillard, OT, Washington St. (A+)
Round 4 Pick 29: Carl Granderson, DE, Wyoming (A+)
Round 5 Pick 9: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford (A+)
Round 5 Pick 20: Ben Powers, OG, Oklahoma (A+)
Round 6 Pick 8: Darius Slayton, WR, Auburn (A+)
Round 7 Pick 9 (CINN): Jalen Hurd, WR, Baylor (A+)
Round 7 Pick 11: Stanley Morgan Jr, WR, Nebraska (A+)
Round 7 Pick 14: Wes Hills, RB, Slippery Rock (A+)

    I need more pks

Possible, see what OTs are still there and if any great player happens to slip.  I would prefer BPA and I dont think Hockendon would be close to BPA at 9, some players always slides.

I guess u don't value TEs that can block like a tackle in the run game and stretch the seems in the passing gm as well as lineup all over the field and create mismatches. I much rather have Hock then any of these offensive lineman in this draft. I believe the lineman are highly overrated in this draft.

J Williams - doesn't even have a locked in position yet flexibility is great if your a bkup but for top 10 pk I want a guy that's solidified at his position and is really good not a maybe .

J Taylor- another guy people say can kick inside .  . That's a red flag.  We don't need a team full of Jacks of all trades masters of none.

A Dilliard- Dilliard is a LT but never faced great comp in pac 12 and never needed to run block .

  11. I like Burns but his play weight concerns the hell out of me.  I believe he was playing at 231 last yr. I seen him on NFL network and the dude is very thin.  I realize Von Miller was somewhat the same size coming out but if u take another look Von is 6'2 and Burns 6'5 there lower bodies look completely different.  I want my pass rusher to be thick in legs and backside. Burns is very talented but we need to be careful with guys like these.  Btw Von Miller is the exception not the rule of great pass rushers.

I can spot the possible trade partner too.  If I'm Beane, I'm working the phone with Baltimore's Eric DeCosta.  The Ravens need the picks.  They do not have a 2nd and they are a prime trade partner to move from pick #22 in the 1st to get that extra 2nd rounder and we'd most likely have to throw in the 3rd as well.  But with 2 Fours, we could still maneuver back into the bottom of round 3.

By the chart it would take a 4th & 5th along with the 2nd & 3rd to move up from 40 to 22. Btw look out for Sea as a possible trade partner also at 21

I suggest everyone do some mock drafts. The Edge/DL dries up in the first 3 rounds, even though there are quite a few good players at those positions. RB/WR is deep as far as B/B+ category rds still in rounds 4-6. I'd suggest we go Dline early and then shore up the offense. TEs like Sternberger, Nauta should be around past the 3rd round and offer a lot of value. Obviously mocks are guesses, but they do give a good idea of a general consensus of where players will go.

If the Bills are looking for value then taking Dline early is there best bet especially at DE.

Here's how I see the value board

    DE- Top 20 of 1st

    DT- Top 32-40 1st/ Early 2nd

    LB- Top 15 1st

    CB 20-64 1st/2nd

    Saftey- pks 20-50 1st/2nd

    Wrs - 2nd - 6th

    Rbs- 3rd-6th

    TEs- 3rd-5th

    Oline 1st-4th

I feel like there's a bad assumption that is being made here.  I can't help but feel like you're assuming the player that we pick at one of those four positions is rated just as highly as any other we could pick at those positions.  And that's a bad place to start from.  If you're grading players out of a hundred, the DE or DT likely available is probably going to be graded something like 5 to 10 points higher than the WR or TE that is available at the same place.  So it's not a question of drafting a really good WR or TE vs a really good DE or DT.  It's the question of whether you should draft a a top 10 DE or DT vs a top 30 WR or TE.  If grades were equal, than I would absolutely agree with you, we should draft a dominant playmaker for the offense.  But they're not.  We could draft a dominant playmaker for the defense, or a WR or a TE who down the line might have the potential to develop into a playmaker, but is by no means one now, and likely won't ever be a top 5-10 player at the position.  You just don't pass on talent.  Doing that and drafting need is how we got into drought to begin with.

Most if not all these players will not dominate from day 1. The draft especially in the early rds are more about taking players that have elite skills but it's more of a projection then anything else. In the 2nd rd threw the 7th lots of teams start drafting more on a players production and scheme fit because most of the elite athletes are off the board.

Here's the question though would u take a edge defender like Gary or Sweat that u project to be a borderline pro bowl player that can get u 8- 10 sacks a yr or would u rather have a TE like Hock that's projected to be a all pro caliber TE.

Seems like the Bill's have a choice with how to attack the draft. Grab a DE and DT or #1 WR and TE.   The more I think about the choice I have settled on Offence and here's why. This team has done a ton of work to shore up The O-line, CB, Special teams, and complimentary WR positions. But the Bill's still arnt ready to compete for A Superbowl. Tom Brady is still great and even though he is getting older and the roster isn't elite, I think they are still going to win the division. My reason for drafting DK Metcalf and then trading up for one of the top 3 TE's is this.... playmakers take time to learn the NFL game and get Chemistry. I think it will be better to use the $80M+ in cap space and draft picks to finish the defence next offseason (make it Elite) and then the young playmakers will be ready to dominate.  It's hard to pass on the Defensive talent like Oliver or Burns But the Bills will be in Position to draft the same kind of talent next year and be productive right away.

I would take Oliver first but Hock will be my 2nd choice.  Other then the obvious guys of course like Bosa, Quinnen & Allen.

I believe in taking BPA @9 with need.  I wouldn't take Sweat or Gary over Oliver and Hock just because we need a edge defender . I believe those 2 players have more upside then Sweat and Gary .

So at the end of the day just take BPA the whole draft that's how we get better doesn't matter what side of the ball there on.  Like u said we are not ready to win the Superbowl yet no matter who we draft.

I'll take London Fletcher at MLB.  I guess you have to respect the HOFer but Moulds was the better WR and if they are going to have Spikes on there then Lofton should be there at WR.

Sam Cowart at LB as well.  ??  On the money.

Damn shame what happened to Cowart he could of been a hof player or at the very least wall of fame. He was on track for some unreal # of tackles that yr he got hurt. He was getting 20tks on the regular.  I believe he had close to or over 200 tackles going into that gm vs Tampa Bay in week 11. I was at that gm in Tampa I'll never forget it we were in the middle of the playoffs run challenging for the division at 7-3 going into that gm.  He wasn't the only one that got injured that day a few others went down including Keion Carpenter . We ended up missing the playoffs at 8-8 and Wade was fired at the end of the season and drought had begun. I'll never forget it.  I believe the next gm vs Miami Wade had to move us to a 4-3 D because we suffered at least 5 injuries on defense in that gm vs the Bucs. We were winning that gm into the 3rd quarter also vs a great Tampa team.

Honorable mention to this list another player I believe career got taken short by injury and his life taken short soon after his career ended was MLB  Damien Covington this kid played with a ton of passion next to Speilman was a tackling machine. I loved watching that duo in the middle of our defense. Covington last gm was against the defending Champs the Broncos he had 22tks and a sack that day we ended up losing in overtime 23-20.  The Bills were a LBer factory from the 80s to early 2000s.
