  1. Hmm it could be his end but it makes no sense to cut him. Only way to save something is to trade him, and that still leaves us with $3M total dead cap. But I guess he could have at least some trade value - conditional 6th? Easy cut? Right now his cap hit is higher if we cut him. Post 1 June we may save something but its negligible.
  2. Details are also on Sportrac https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/latavius-murray-12463/ Cap hit less than $1.1M, dead cap if cut 800k. So great signing if he makes the roster, costly one if he doesn't.
  3. I'd love him to make a roster, but who do you think he can replace? There are 5 interior guys ahead of him - Morse, Torrence, Bates, McGovern and Edwards. I can see him fighting for spot with the last one, but he has $1.7M fully guaranteed contract. I know Beane can do what he did last summer with Howard, but it is still an uphill battle for Broeker. And that doesn't even count with Boettger. Or do you guys think he can fight with Doyle or Quess for OT spot?
  4. Just a random though I don't want to start a thread about and probably no one cares but still - anybody saw confirmed somewhere which 2024 6th round picks we actually got? We dealt with Texans and Rams, and were happy since we expect them to suck, but both team actually had MORE 6th round picks at that time. Rams also had Broncos pick. Texans also had Cowboys pick, and Tankathon thinks that we got that one (which is presumably worse). I googled and didn't find confirmation. Anybody knows?
  5. Can you guys explain why do you think that Chiefs-Bills matchup will be this early for the 4th time in a row?
  6. Agreed. And I'd also add that based on his comments Shorty is all but lock. He almost literally said it, and then he realized he went too far and corrected himself that he has to earn it, but it was clear how he views it.
  7. Shorter is almost a lock imo and I think Shavers is likely to make roster too. We'll take 7 WRs this time around.
  8. There was no gap in the first place. Yes we lost in PO 3 years in a row. Every team except SB winner does. 2020 we were weaker than Chiefs, 2021 we lost historic battle due to 13-second blunder and coinflip, a 2022 we lost because somehow everything went wrong (on field and mostly off-field). People are making it bigger than it was. We were as good as Chiefs or Bengals overall but stars were not aligned our way. And yes I do think we are better on paper right now than we were last year. So again, we will be top 3 or top 5 favorites to win it all.
  9. Yeah I know we potentially can clear a lot of cap space. But unless you cut a guy everything you clear now just makes it worse following years. And from everything Beane has said so far he is not willing to go this way anymore. So I'd be really shocked if he cleared anything more than absolutely necessary.
  10. Below is current Bills roster the way I see it. There are 53 players over the grey line - my random estimate who could make the roster. There are obviously lots of questions, e.g.: 1. I'd like to fit Broeker, since we need cheap rookies on roster, but not sure who to replace right now. 2. Shorter is close to lock imo, and it seems that Shavers has some chance due to his ST ability. 3. We used to have 4 RBs, but one of them was Taiwan Jones and ST player, it's not happening again. 4. There has to be odd man out in LB corps - Spector? 5. I hope that somebody can tak Siran Neal's role in ST, so we can cut him, save $2.3M and fit Alex Austin in. 11. His numbers are finally out: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/tyler-bass-47784/ $5.2M signing bonus, which means extra $1M cap hit this year. I am really surprised that it in not backloaded at all. Cap hits are rising slightly from $4.4M in 2024 to $5.3M in 2027. Right now we have about $5.1M left. Once rookies are accounted for it gets to about $3.5M, and then we need about $4M for PS and $1.7M for 52/53 player. So without any surprise cuts we will be in fact about $2M over the cap, plus we need some room for in season moves. Oh and we are going to sign some DT vet (per Beane), so my rought estimate is that by the start of the season we need to create about $6M cap space or so. I see easy $2.3M savings from cutting Siran Neal. Other than that - maybe Jones extension, Oliver extension, or Dawkins/White restructures.
  12. Sadly this is very accurate. Unless they decide that he is better / more useful than Siran Neal and keep him on 53 (saving §2.3M in cap space in the process)
  13. Agreed. But I think it still shows that Kincaid is at least someone who was on their shortlist and people approve this pick.
  14. Thanks for posting this. I am very impressed. Just like with Shakir last year. They are different, but I really like them both and will root for them a lot. Apparently he didn't realize his potential on college from some reason but he seems mentally tough and dedicated to football.
  15. I just wish we at least traded down before selecting this guy...
  16. I am really curious how Beane plans to trade down from 252
  17. I absolutely love this. We don't have roster spots, we didn't have many picks, and if there is a reasonable chance then 2024 will be stronger draft then Beane is doing best thing he could possibly do.
  18. Don't trade out this time pls. I don't need to mow a lawn or something, I just want a new Bill already! Like I said, RB Sean Tucker is my guess.
  19. Interesting. I'd be shocked if Torrence wasn't a starter Day 1 in 2023.
  20. Now this is something! Draft picks next year, I like it.
  21. LOL trade... really? Way to ruin my next couple of minutes haha
