BTW, anyone know the results of my poll?
VABills replied to Ghost of BiB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It won't stay at the top and be seen, unless you allow messages to be posted. So it is easily out of sight and out of mind. -
And using the "NATIONAL" media to promote the fears. Of course I know of one party that plays to peoples fear through the media.

I don't know much but the scouting report sounds pretty good. Some key points that I like: Good touch on short passes, but can make the deep throw. Good pocket awareness. Not a threat to run. Good, I cannot stand run first mentality in QB's Good intelligence Leadership skills. Wow, I like this guy, let's sign him.

You have some facts right, but you have some wrong, or limited in what you are saying. Remember a vet is anyone with 24 months active service. So I am a vet, category 8 level eligible for VA health care services. But too be honest I will never get them, because well I am category 8. That said, your numbers are skewed by that fact alone. Also, i didn't hear any complaints from you when Clinton enacted the first limits on eligibility in 1999 for vets. The fact is there has been a limit on income for 7 years now. Nor did I hear you complain when Clinton cut burial service benefits for vets which at one time included a burial details, and 21 gun salute. At least he didn't get his way as he wanted to get rid of the National cemetary system where vets like myself get a well deserved by free plot and grave marker.

Bills likely to make offer sheet to Idonije
VABills replied to billsfan182's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe you, but from what I have read, everything said he was a RDE. Unless that is the projection in the NFL. BTW, it had something to do with concern over his run stopping skills. Which would mean that RDE is better suited for him. In fact he is compared to Peppers a lot. -

Well he would be the LDE (strong side guy) that I was wondering about. Since Mario Williams and Schoebal are both RDE's it was doubtful that we would have drafted Williams anyhow. -
Roscoe Parish.

That's what makes this country great. Every state doesn't have to follow your rules. The people of the state elect their reps who then makes laws that represent the value system of the majority in that state. I know you and a lot of democrats who can't seem to undertsand that concept that majority makes the decisions. If the people don;t think they are being represented, then elect new people next time. These folks are in Missouri, last time I checked you didn't live there, so this really doesn't affect you. If you are so bothered, move there and run for office or at least vote for the person who best represents you values. If your candidate loses because most people don;t like him, then guess what Mickey, he loses, and you have to abide by whatever stupid laws the people democratically elected representative comes up with.

For those who want to draft one of the top 3 QBS
VABills replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know that statement always bugs me. Holcomb and Losman threw about the same number of passes, yet the Oline looked better (not great) with Holcomb. He got sacked far less, he completed more passes and kept drives alive, even with his rag arm, he had more yards per attempt. He made our offensive line look better, even though he has cement feet. Maybe having a msart Qb makes you have a better line. Are any of these three the answer, that I don't know. Is Holcomb, no he doesn't have the arm to win us more then 8-9 games. I just know that everything that Losman has shown, flashes that he isn't the answer by far. -
OK...Evans, Davis, Parrish, Reed
VABills replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's interesting that you say that. I was curious that Moulds wanted out last weekend. Now it's quiet, about the time the story breaks that Marv isn't buying into JP and they maybe looking to draft a QB at #8. You think maybe it has something to do with Moulds be quiet after Tuesday? -
I'd like to see Atrain signed as Mcgahees backup. He did well with Jauron as a rookie, and brings a load with him. He isn't a legit receiver, but seems like he would be a good backup. My only issue is I know he has said things about not wanting to play ST's in the past. But as a backup he would have to and would expect something in his contract to that effect.

Reggie Wells - OL - tendered offer sheet
VABills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven't seen him play, so I don't know what to think. If Marv likes him, I trust his instinct at this point. -
drafting Parrish or releasing P.Williams
VABills replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Parrish was an unneeded position that was drafted. The fact that guys like Adam Terry and other offensive lienmen where avilable at that position makes it even worse. I am not saying Parrish will be good or bad, I don't know, but I stuggle thinking that a guy smaller then myself can really make it in the NFL and be a good #2 WR or great slot #3 guy which you would expect a 2nd round pick to become. -

VABills replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure Aiken or Smith are under contract. That leaves Moulds, Evans, Reed, Parrish, and Davis. We will carry probably 6 or 7 depending ST's and depth needs. So right now even if Smith and Aiken are under contract we basically just have the bases covered. Moulds is going nowhere if that is all the moves for WR. -
He might catch a STD if you don't wear your free rubber.

I live in DC, and have seen Royal play, a lot. Trust me Royal is a legit TE, and will help our running game a lot. In fact Royal was the starting TE for the skins last year. That is a team that made the playoffs. They ran a two TE , single back set with Cooley and Royal. Cooley was the HB, and Royal was the true TE.

Sorry I saw that title, but didn't look inside. Besides not descriptive that he signed with Atlanta on the title.

Spitzer: Upstate New York is 'Appalachia'
VABills replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I guess I was talking to family when I was up there last time. The thing that really shows the problem is back in 1960 Erie County had something like 1.1 million people. Now they have about 950K in the county, yet they employ the same number of county workers, teachers, etc... on town and county salaries. That is asking to take on an additional 10-15 percent take burden for a lot of people that really aren't needed anymore. Add to that the number of people who collect pensions from the county from over the years.
