  2. I was with you until that part of the statement. Referring to yourself as too big just doesn't work Scott.
  3. I am one who is a big detractor of the blind epileptic squirrel that we have at QB, however, even I would rather keep him, then have Vince Young.
  4. Good editorial in the Washington Post today by a liberal professor. He goes on to point out that there are too many liberal teachers, and therefore the people granduating are only having oneside of every political arguement drummed into them. He calls for more moderation and bringing the school back to the center, so the kids get a well rounded education, and the actually ability to learn and think about choices again. Before anyone complains, there were several studies including one by GMU to support the evidence. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...6040500970.html or
  5. Good points, however, it is very likely that they needed to be close to sources of sewer, water, eletric, etc... without having to completely revamp the infrastructure, and trying to do something quickly. Also notice that these were intended for single women with children. It is likely they were also trying to offer them some "minimal" protection that they may not get in a community that is out of the way or worse yet in the squallers with tons of homeless men or men in shelters. Not a good combination.
  6. Anyone catch the line? "It blowed up good"
  7. There comes a point in time that you set politics aside, and get these homeless folks some place to live. But not this guy, he would rather please the larger group, get the votes in a few weeks then to get these poor women and children a place to live. http://www.adelphia.net/news/read.php?ps=1...LARSDCCLM_UNEWS
  8. I guess she can't come to the toga party then? X Benedict will be disappointed. He likes the easy ones.
  9. Gibson is more of a RT guy. He's probably a little too tall and well big to play inside, IMHO. This guy had quick feet so him playing either tackle spot if he has lost weight isn't beyond the realm of possibility. Let's wait and see where he is at conditioning wise. Here is another writeup: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...ayers/3801.html
  10. Here's one of the better writeups on Gibson out of college that I could quickly find: Not only is Gibson (6-6, 374 at last weigh-in) the biggest of the best offensive linemen many scouts have seen, but he is regarded by some as the strongest and most dominant run blocker ever to enter the league. "Thank God he isn't a trained killer," one scout said. "He just swipes them around like a damn grizzly bear." Although some scouts argue that Tony Mandarich was nastier and more explosive when he came out a decade ago, his suspected abuse of steroids almost disqualifies him. The Green Bay Packers discovered to their horror that Mandarich couldn't pass block but as long as Gibson isn't used at left tackle, most teams feel he will be fine in protection. "He has a few problems there but some of the guys he's blocking are little quick guys," said Jerry Reichow, the Minnesota Vikings' assistant general manager. "But when he gets a chance to block down on them then see how quick they are."
  11. Gibson did exactly that, ate himself out of the league. He got well above 400 pounds at one point. Damn good, real mean streak, good positioning, great run blocker, plays both guard and tackle, and can play both well, if he is under 375. This could be a great pickup depending on his weight and dedication to stay there. He really needs to be around 360 to be effective, but he can move that big body if he is there. He's an old Wisconsin grad and I believe he was part of some pretty damn good teams in college.
  12. Well how many companies now will drop medical coverage, and these folks now get junk coverage.
  13. rhythm method. Damn Catholics.
  14. Where was this guys body armor. Doesn't Bush know it's dangerous being a teacher, picking up loose shels, squashing bugs? This is Bushs fault that he allowed a loose round to be available to anyone walking around.
  15. But a trailer park was involved. Are you telling me only white people live in trailer parks?
  16. Oh come on, you worked here, and I assume have a clearance. You know damn well that there is only a couple of clearing houses for the paperwork on clearances to be done, and neither is run by politicos.
  17. And how is his fantasy of maybe there was a super wind gust that blew the Red Sea apart for several hours/days so thousand could cross and then just happened to close just when the Egyptians came, any less of a BS story? That isn't science, that's malice to someone elses belief. Or maybe, just maybe there was possibility of one in a trillion that there was an ice storm 2000 years ago, that I may or may not have scientfic evidence to support, but anyway to possibly discount the stories in the Bible, as long as I bring doubt. That to me isn't science, but more a work of fantasy then the Bible.
  18. I guess Dick can't get his shotgun back or anyone to go hunting with so he broke out the rain machine again.
  19. Except if Roscoe can't beat out Reed again, and he is the #3 or 4 receiver behind Aiken or anyone else we draft.
  20. You did know the beagles weren't good last year right? It's still the top half of the round. So a 5th from houston is not like a 4th.
  21. I wonder if these folks are down at the Best Buy stealing TV's, or at 7-11 raiding the beer coolers. You know there is a law that says if your leevee breaks, you must loot. Also, we had better make sure they get free passage on the next cruise ship, and a 5000 dollar credit card to hire hookers, and gamble while on the ship. Fair is fair.
  22. Except he wasn't a "guy".
  23. Not sure that's true. I believe we got a supplimental pick for losing Winfield.
  24. Why didn't they know these leevee's would breach. This is unsat. It's all Bushs fault. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/05/californi...e.ap/index.html
  25. http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/science/04/04...reut/index.html Because they go a little too far sometimes. Yeah a stong gust of wind parted the Red Sea, and an Ice Floe just happened to be on the Sea of Galalea. What next? The Ark was built on the edge of a river just before it flooded?
