Let's just hope the Bills are serious
VABills replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember some early stuff before the combine where Fasano, Pope, and Lewis were ranked as high or higher then Davis. Davis and his speed pushed him up the charts. -
Zinni is a Clinton general. The guy never had a command in the Marine Corps. He was a career advisor, and deputy. He would have never seen a star if Clinton wasn't elected and half the Corps generals bolted rather then serve under Clinton. He supported Bush, only because Gore was so screwed up. As far as Kerry goes, it was really he didn't like either candidate, as much of the country felt the same. Bush wasn't really a good choice, but Kerry was just an aweful option. There are other "Clinton Generals" who have spoken on Bushs behalf however, including General Pace, who is a Brookings institute, avowed Democrat.

They are referring to Davis IMHO. Until his combine numbers he was a mid to late 1st. Average hands, poor blocking, and all of a sudden he gets lightning at the combine. -
More from Iran. Any thoughts?
VABills replied to Ghost of BiB's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not sure that's true. I read an article over the weekend that said they pay about 6 cents per gallon. So either someone is refining for free or the government is subsidizing a foreign company to do a lot for them. -

What?? That sound like a friggen liberal set of reasoning. What if SA or Iraqi governments gave approval without US knowledge? What if Israel did it without any approval? That's like saying someone was murdered because the police allowed it since they weren't there to stop it. Therefore the police were culpable. -
I was talking with some friends the other day, and this was a big part of the discussion. When I was a teen, I washed dishes at a retaurant, my siblings worked Cappellas farm, babysat, etc... on the weekends for money.

Why do people do things they know they

Yeah nice interpretation skills. What I said, "People who know they have heart problems should not go on this ride" You, "All people with heart problems are stupid". -

I;ve been on this, and thought it was actually very lame. Although a guy at work just went there and he said he was sick for several hours afterwards. Personally I think he was a kitty, but.... Anyway, from what I read this woman had high blood pressure and has seen a doctor in the past about some possible heart problem. Maybe Darwin was at work here. -
And we disagree. I think there are times that you want to not show your hand, but need the TE to block down and help open a hole. Davis, ain't that guy. Sure having him go into patterns makes him dangerous, but you throw a good cover LB, or S on him and play 10 on 10 ball when he's on the field. I said this when Travis was here and I'll say it again, guys that need to have multiple skills, really need to have those skills. FB should catch and block. RB's should pass block, catch, and run. TE should catch and block.

And that's why he is a hack writer and not a coach, scout, or anything else for a football team.

Why would you just hand over the keys to someone to your house to watch your kids for 6 weeks, and not even tell the kids or the person. What is wrong with people.? http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/04/12/gri...yers/index.html

SUW - Why Is Chili Ever " Out Of Season " ?

As others have said, you can terminate whenever. However, if you turn around and buy a house that they showed you within 30 days the person selling the home, is obligated to pay them the finding agents fee.

Way to say a whole lot of nothing. You make it out like I asked "questions". Well I didn't these folks (parents) started asking me when the hell the US was going to step in and help the Irani people out. I honestly didn't really know how it was, at least to the people on the ground until the parents of this friend brought it up. They still live. They love their country, but feel that it is not right. They say the young people there deplore the government and speak out all the time. They have rallies, and people just disappear by the hundreds. They believe the "religious" government is having these folks a few at a time, killed and buried in some pretty deep holes. They are at least smart enough not to do the Saddam thing and gas entire populations that protest, but rather have the thug mentality of killing them off a few at a time, hoping to stiffle any revolt.
-
No that's reality from people I know there. I have met and talked with several folks who still live there and have been here to visit. I have talked with their parents. This is their perspective, and will rely on first hand information, over any third person political briefing anyday. I also have friends who are very close to the whole situation. Again, I wasn't suggesting that we attack, and overthrow. I was implying that is what the people of Iran want.
-
And the reality is, the government there holds very little sway as the country is ruled by the religious leaders and only "allow" the elections as a joke. Those elected have no say, and are just puppets who are ignored when any real decisions are made. They know it and it is not uncommon for them to just quit, after they get tired of it.
-
I think you might be wrong here. There are several large factions of the pre-1979 groups that want the US to attack. They do not want Israelie involvement, but do support a US military strike and overthrow of the government.

SUW - Why Is Chili Ever " Out Of Season " ?
VABills replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You must work in a union shop. They have rules that say their employees can only make chili, during certain times of the year. Did you know that servants in Boston went on strike in the late 1700's because they complained that they were eating too much lobster and were picketing to ensure that they were not fed lobster more then 3 times per week? -
I'm pretty sure meazza is there with you as well.

Who would you be terribly disappointed to see at 8
VABills replied to Chicken Wing '73's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We did that last year. -
Yup, it's the hair. Completing less then 50% of his passes, fumbling 7 times in 9 games, or 8 int's with only 8 TD's, and a 60 QB rating had nothing to do with it.
