Former Bills Where Are They Now. Episode 1: Jeff Tuel
RobbRiddick replied to RobbRiddick's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do find it fascinating that someone like Tuel who is still a young man is now in this very corporate job, going to an office, wearing a suit, and he can sit there and say he started an NFL game. A great ice breaker for team building days. -
Former Bills Where Are They Now. Episode 1: Jeff Tuel

I was so hyped for that game. I was imagining an upset led by Tuel, the Rocky music playing in my head. Like usual back then it wasn't to be -
Former Bills Where Are They Now. Episode 1: Jeff Tuel

Who can forget the day it was Tuel Time in Buffalo! Undrafted in 2013, Jeff was quickly signed by the Bills, predominantly on the recommendation of Chris Brown who was intrigued by the large number of possible Tuel-related puns he would be able to use during his Bills reports. Never a lazy tuel, Jeff worked hard at camp and almost made history right out of the gate. With EJ Manuel injured, it was very likely Tuel would start the season opener, which would have made him the first undrafted rookie quarterback to start a season opener without any prior professional football experience since at least the 1950s. As it turned out, EJ played and Jeff was consigned back to the tuel shed. After throwing a pick six against the Browns, Tuel made his first start Vs the undefeated Chiefs in a November game. Surely this undrafted kid couldn't lead his team to an upset victory over KC? Well it sure looked like he would when he had Buffalo on the 1-yard-line, about to take a 14 point lead. "Come on Jeff!" came the chant across Bills nation. "Reach inside that tuel box and become the man of destiny! You can do it Jeff!" Jeff threw another pick six. The Bills lost. Fast forward 12 years and we find Jeff selling algae for a company named MyLand. "Elevating the game on and off the field: Tuel to boost adoption of live, native microalgae in agriculture." Tuel shares that his love of agriculture began at an early age, following in the footsteps of his father. “My dad has been involved in irrigation for as long as I can remember,” Tuel says. “He inspired me to pursue a career in agriculture, and MyLand’s positive impact for soil and growers is a great fit for how I want to continue to serve the industry.” Imagine if Josh needed some soil improvement for his pistachio farm and ended up bulk buying algae from Tuel. They could share stories about frustrating losses against the Chiefs at least. Nice to see you again Jeff, here are your highlights! -
Browns Laugh Of The Day... Their Posting The QB OTA Stats
RobbRiddick replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
EJ was one of our QBs I never had any hope for. Like, Losman had me sort of hopeful for a while because of that big arm and his connections with Evans. Edwards had the whole "reminds me of Joe Montana" stuff from Bill Walsh and for a few games looked good. EJ from the moment he was drafted just had me thinking nope, this guy will never amount to anything. I remember that drive against the Panthers when they scored in the last seconds and he was on his knees thanking God and the whole crowd was going wild. Even then I just couldn't get excited about the guy. -
I have no problem with trash talk from another teams players but Hill accusing people of having CTE when he spends his time impregnating, then abandoning women and beating the crap out of children is a bit much

I caught one after my first scene. The worrying thing is it was an amateur home movie I did with my wife

At this point a Bosa injury is as surprising as an adult film actor telling you they have an STD

Does anyone use Buffalobills.com anymore?

Imagine if it was still going, Beane would definitely be a moderator on there, yelling at people at 3 o clock in the morning, bumping up posts from 2018 to remind everyone how they bitched about Josh Allen. Then Chris Brown would have an account (CompanyMan71), replying to every one of Beane's comments with stuff like "I agree with you Brandon. You're sooooo right. Can I come to your house for dinner again some time? I'll mow your lawn while I'm there if you need me to". Then Doug Whaley would create a troll account (KillerWhale) so he could second guess every decision by the current braintrust and defend the Sammy Watkins pick. -

Are you telling me those Bills-Cardinals opening day tickets I just paid 2k for on stub hub are worthless?

It will basically be the Josh show with some Keon and Dion thrown in

Yeah, the embedded stuff the Bills produce so well isn't that far off Hard Knocks really. I enjoy the embedded stuff

Beane should just walk around the whole time shouting "quit bitching" no matter what he's asked

Love these old videos. keep them coming. Part of me feels so sad these days are gone. maybe I'm sad because I'm getting older and I miss my youth, but there was a simplicity to the game back then. It was more hard nosed, more ground and pound, less glitzy. Yet at the same time it felt more tactical. I'm not a coach so have no idea if that's true but it just felt more cat and mouse then, especially with the defense having so much more ability within the rules to make a stop. It wouldn't sit well with the redzone generation who think anything less than a combined score of 60+ points is a boring game but man I miss it! I think that's why I love Josh so much. He feels like such an old school player with the way he launches himself into contact and stiff arms defenders
