Meh, your making a few assumptions here. Your assuming the Chiefs not only finish a 3-4 seed, but that the Bills then finish with a corresponding seed to pull the Chiefs in the first round of wild card weekend. Then you assume the Bills can’t wrestle the division away from the Patriots which, at this point, is still entirely possible. You also assume Mahomes recovers completely and is 100% himself. When he doesn’t have his mobility he isn’t anywhere near the QB he is with it. Without Mahomes at 100% the Chiefs are a completely average team, at least IMO. Average line, average running game, and below average defense. In any case, way too many variables this far out. We will see how the season plays out. If Mahomes misses more than 4 games the Chiefs probably don’t make the playoffs anyways.

This will make the AFC a bit more interesting. Say Mahomes is out 3 games. I am counting those as 0-3. Matt Moore can surprise but he was terrible last night, I don’t see them beating their upcoming 3 opponents. Mahomes comes back with a 5-5 record and a battle during the final 6 games to make the playoffs, one of which against the Patriots in early December that could end up being a must win game for the Chiefs.

Probably the only reason why he still has a job. He signed an aging Peyton who still had just enough left in the tank to get the job done. Other than that one signing, his QB record has been abysmal.

Were we watching the same Flacco last night? He looked like a corpse. No pocket movement, no ability to avoid any kind of rush, a few average passes, and his body language showed he had completely given up after the first quarter. Sure he had a few drops, but he was a trash bag last night.

Eh, we’ll agree to disagree on this. The second game against the Jets will be a better barometer but I’m not worried at all. It could just as easily be argued the Bills were losing until giving Singletary the ball. In addition to that, Mosley hurt himself trying to cover John Brown. And the Bills gifted the Jets 4 turnovers, which are generally fluky and even each other out in the long run. Lets not forget Darnold led the league in INTs last year. Also has it been documented Darnold was sick during that game? Haven’t researched it myself.

We will see Monday night what the Jets are all about. If they can run with the Pats it will be a competitive game versus the Bills. The Bills beat a healthy Jets team and that was with spotting them 4 turnovers. I’m actually shocked he has over 200 yards. Feels like he hasn’t completed a pass since the first quarter.

Doesn’t really change anything unfortunately. The important thing has always been taking the division from the Patriots. If they can’t do that they are simply battling for a wild card, and with or without this Chiefs injury I think they were getting that wild card berth.
