  1. Interview with Von Miller about his Covid experience, didn't see this posted - https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/05/13/von-miller-coronavirus-experience-nfl-season/ TLDR - mask up, take seriously. He also says he caught it at home after locking down, that seems very important.
  2. well I'd definitely say the guy before you who called him a thug, but seems my sarcasm detector is on the fritz due to my two month and counting quarantine so maybe I'm wrong. apologies!
  3. Some other little business endeavors from this "thug" with a "few million dollars" that I found in about 5 mins: - owns everything Beast Mode and the Beast Mode apparel store in Oakland - started the non-profit Family First Foundation for Oakland's youth - co-owner of the Oakland Panthers arena football team - started a phone store in Oakland called Beast Mobile - apparently owns a portion of Lyft in Oakland. Not totally following that but ok - multiple real estate investments - now has a recurring role in Westworld "Take care of your chicken", indeed. I'm sure there's more.
  4. Off the field he works with multiple charities, and is incredibly popular in Oakland due to his community support. You truly have no idea what you're talking about. Holy hell, neither do you. He's also managed his money better than probably 99% of all football players, and owns multiple businesses in addition to his charity work. And it was $56 million, from football alone. You Marshawn haters need to seriously realize that it's not 2009 anymore.
  5. Wow wow wow I see that's already been said many times, as is probably everything else that I'm going to say. Just squeezing in before it gets to 50 pages. I kind of felt bad for him, a bit, during like the first 40% of the interview. I empathize with his Buffalo experience or any experience that makes you feel uncomfortable to the point where you're just getting drunk every night yadda yadda yadda But then I just kept reading. I now worry for him for completely different reasons. This thing is incredible. Gotta say, he's at least like somehow consolidated all of his craziness into being interesting and borderline charismatic? That's probably just Dunne doing a good job but this is easily Sammy's best interview ever. I hope he keeps inexplicably showing up in the playoffs for years to come so that we can continue diving into his psyche.
  6. Bruce, Jim, Andre, Thurman. OJ's, uh, transgressions, leaves him on the outside looking in in terms of having a mountain face sculpted in his honor.
  7. I could agree with the Titans. Henry is the scariest dude in the league, we all saw what he did in the second half of last season. Most valuable player in the league leading up to the playoffs. I think the Bills and Titans are a coin toss, although I think losing Jurell Casey is going to be a big hit to Tennessee. He was their defensive anchor for 8 seasons, it's a huge loss. I think the Steelers are so overrated. Roethlisberger is pushing 40, looks like he's pushing 30% body fat, will have been out for nearly a year by the time he sees the field. 9 months at least. They're really missing a second wide receiver. Juju sort of replaced AB but nobody replaced Juju. They've got a bunch of 3s and 4s with an old, possibly out-of-shape QB. Vance McDonald is just a guy, he's not Kittle or any sort of receiving TE. I feel like he's Luke Willson, he's not a game changer and his stature was just elevated last year by fantasy draft touts since there's truly a lack of quality TEs right now. Conner's a good RB but they've really got no depth as we saw last year. Their pass rush is fantastic, but I feel like they're a 9-7 team at best with some serious holes on offense.
  8. 1. Chiefs 2. Ravens 3. Bills 4. Titans 5. Broncos (Don't sleep) 6. Colts 7. Browns 8. Steelers 9. Raiders 10. Patriots 11. Jets 12. Dolphins (anticipating a more competitive AFC East) 13. Texans (BOB fallout continues, surprised by some of these higher rankings) 14. Bengals 15. Jaguars 16. Chargers (Herbert?!)
  9. Ha, bring it. I remember when Bacarri Rambo took his soul on national TV. He doesn't want to see this defense.
  10. Dang Hap, appreciate the info! Any insight on Mexico? I've been watching their numbers spike. Quick Google search doesn't provide much other than a story about their doctor's getting assaulted...with bleach. About a week ago, wife and I morbidly discussed which country would be the next to hit 1,000 deaths. Indonesia, Ireland, and Mexico were the front runners at that time, in that order. We both chose Mexico which was the dark horse at the time, and won? I don't know, we've been inside for 5 weeks. But they hit it first and it definitely seems to be taking off there.
  11. I don't think we are. We're gambling on Knox. I'm for it, but he's so raw and inexperienced in general that it wouldn't be crazy if he didn't meet our hopes, or even completely disappeared next year. Or just gets hurt. Depth other than Kroft (bum) and Sweeney (who knows) would be nice. Ha, oh yeah, Jason Croom. How could I forget. Does he add anything or is he truly just a nepotism holdover? I feel like it's been a long time since I've seen him play and I knew little about him to begin with.
  12. Yeah it hasn't peaked yet in a lot of places, and beyond that this virus's stabilization rate is pretty terrifying. It doesn't seem to really go away. Just look at Iran. It's been 1000+ new cases, 100+ dead, every day since early March. Like clockwork. Maybe they've given up on providing accurate data but it's the same for Switzerland, Netherlands and some other countries that seem alright but are nowhere near over the hump with this. So imagine if we as a country stabilize at say 1500-2000 deaths. Every single day, without end. May never really blow up and be the apocalypse, but holy hell. To add, this info is from countries that have fiercely locked down, more so than us in all cases, so rates are likely depressed just due to social isolation. This thing is a sticky little monster. I'm definitely not hitting the mall on May 1st even if some folks say we're open.
  13. B+. Really an A when you consider Diggs. Loved it. Wanted offense and was a little skeptical after the Epenesa pick but the Epenesa/Moss combo is more than satisfying. I'm now addicted to Zack Moss videos. And then Beane kept going offense. A+ for the big receivers, this Hodgins kid looks like an absolute steal. Not a huge fan of the Fromm or Dane Jackson picks. Only minor gripe at this point is that I would have liked to see some LB or OL depth, but overall, great draft with hopefully 3 picks (not counting Diggs) that can contribute immediately.
  14. I thought Foster should have been cut last year, but putting the disappearing man up against a 6'4" man with glue hands that can cut like that? Sorry Bob.
  15. Ugh, just please don't be like those dorks that videotape hospitals. Leave those people alone. If hospital beds ever run out in Sheboygan, it's not going to be at the same time as NYC. This is obvious stuff.
  16. Honestly, you should probably be wearing some kind of eye protection at the store as well. Don't say screw it and just wade through some virus, go full Mad Max and protect yourself.
  17. Love it. Wanted Dobbins but will gladly take Moss and Epenesa instead. 110% all-in process believer over here.
  18. I'm actually very pro-social distancing during a pandemic but it's certainly far from an exact science. Defining "family" for instance is impossible, but whether your family consists of 2 or 28 people, it seems this thing is infectious enough where if one gets it, everybody gets it. Somebody could have potentially shared some covid at those draft parties tonight, but how are you going to ignore your brother or best friend getting drafted into the NFL? We're not really built for extreme isolation yet, I just hope a 2nd wave doesn't screw us and that we luck out a bit with warmer weather.
  19. This seriously took two posts haha. I've loved the draft this year, some of the home footage has been so awkward that it beats anything that could be normally produced. Social distancing is such a grey area with families. I've been quarantined with my wife and little one for over a month now. That's it. However, my next door neighbor has at least 6 kids, many of which have kids. There's like 20 people there. They often stand around in their backyard and then do tiny backyard dirt circles with a motorcycle sending a giant cloud of dust and hopefully not coronavirus over the neighborhood. At least twice a day. But hey, they're family, who am I to judge. This is weird for everyone.
  20. Why has he slid so much? I feel like he went from borderline first round talent at one point to getting mocked in the 5th round recently
  21. That's a safety already for all of our AFC East friends. Kind of interesting.
  22. Same There's always good backs left until a run starts...
  23. Those teams suck though. I guarantee the Chiefs, 49ers, and Packers appreciate their 4th receiving option. It's not just "a guy" on the good teams.
