  1. I personally think it's really just a blip on the radar and that we have the better team with better players, including WRs, but out of your options I would put it on coaching today. Big Ben is not very good right now imo, he just gets the ball out quick and avoids pressure. But man he looked old today, looked like he was heaving a shot put on some of those throws. Offensive play calling, refs, and that awful blocked punt ruined today, imo. And as far as being limited to drafts for future WR talent I'm completely fine with that. Look at what young WRs did around the NFL today.
  2. I mean how do you not? I've regularly seen punters try to switch things up when things collapse, although it often results in panic, granted. I would want my punter to be able to adjust to situations, I don't think they're supposed to be so robotic that they slowly ignore a dude running straight at them and blocking their punt. You can't focus but also have situational awareness?
  3. No never punted but I agree about the laser like focus you're right, but if the guy is slow or simply doesn't know how to speed up his approach when things are collapsing while maintaining that focus then that seems like an issue. I don't know, he looks pretty bad on replay and people were already discussing it before this game so it's something that's on my radar now. Haack's ability aside, that was a total ST collapse - the replay is almost comical - so in general that blocked punt is near the top of my what I didn't like list.
  4. I feel like there's only about two teams that this applies to - having specifically an elite #1 and #2. Maybe the Seahawks and Cowboys? Can't count the Chiefs although Kelce and Hill are clearly the best offensive weapon combo in the league. I think our WR depth is top 10 so generally disagree. The Steelers arguably have a bunch of 2's and 3's and they got the job done today. Alright maybe Claypool is edging into #1 territory, kid is kind of a freak.
  5. Everything about that blocked punt was a mess. Not a fan of Haack right now. I know the line did him zero favors and Killibrew basically went through untouched, but he looked so slow on that punt. Incredibly slow. I'm watching the replay right now and he's completely oblivious to the chaos unfolding around him. Credit to Knox and Gabe Davis on the offensive side, and Hyde, Poyer, Edmunds, Milano, and Johnson on Defense. Team MVP goes to Bass today.
  6. I've been talking up Famous Jameis all offseason but that GB/NO is the shocker of the week. Who saw that coming? Between the eye surgery and how much his team rallied behind him I'm not surprised Jameis lit it up but I definitely didn't expect that Green Bay dud. Davante Adams might seriously be the most overrated offensive player in the league. There's no way he's the best receiver in the NFL, I think Hopkins proved that again today.
  7. Well they seem to be Josh's favorite opponent so I'm pretty optimistic we'll get it right. Miami's pretty bad, and I'm definitely not sold on Tua. Waddle and Parker look good but that's about it. I think it's pretty crazy that Gesicki only had two targets and zero catches today, I keep waiting for him to really break out and assumed he'd be Tua's safety valve.
  8. This should be more entertaining than the game.
  9. At least Bass is in good form. Dude looks so dialed in out there. Might need that in about 20.
  10. Motor and Knox, better late than never I guess
  11. That punt was so insanely slow. What is he doing?
  12. The play by play hot takes are really something.
  13. It’s still really old Big Ben against a great D. Breathe
  14. Running game picking up right where it left off last year
  15. Duck wow, that’s what we don’t need right now Josh
  16. O is out of sync but this defense can beat this Pitt offense easy. Really just need Josh to keep it together. No turnovers, address the clear out of sync issues later.
  17. hold that thought. This D is playing great, may be 3
  18. Ben throws like he’s old. Just kind of pushing that ball, such a weird throwing motion.
  19. Pizza and wings, but doing it all from home. I live in an area of Colorado where there is no good pizza. There's pizza, but it's all terrible. I think I surpassed the local options last year so am now trying to increase my wing skills. I'm actually on here because there was a recent thread with some great homemade wing tips that I want to review.
  20. Yeah agreed, but I think it's more so the 8/1 start date than anything, which I missed at first. Yeah people already have Mahomes jerseys, but between kids, gifts, bandwagon fans, international sales, etc, I got to assume Mahomes is selling way more jerseys than Mac Jones during any regular timeline. There's no way Mac Jones or even Fields for that matter sell more jerseys than the other 3, or two handfuls of other players, over the course of the season. Also a lot of this is me completely dismissing Mac Jones. And the fact that I rarely meet Patriots fans in the wild. Who in the world is buying a Mac Jones jersey.
  21. Agree with the first point, disagree with the second. Think you're absolutely right that rookies can break out. Of course Justin Jefferson had a breakout year, anybody who says differently is silly. He's being touted as top-10 right now. But Davis putting himself into the conversation and turning some heads regionally and in fantasy circles is not necessarily breaking out. Putting up 600 yards and 7 TD is not breaking out, in general. It's breaking out relative to being a nobody, but it's not breaking out in terms of asserting yourself as a force in the league. By that criteria, some unknown FA off the street that has a big 3 weeks and makes national headlines is a "break out". I don't think that's what's being discussed here. I'm throwing my support behind the Gabe Davis breaks out and flirts with 1k yardage and serious national discussion and sets himself up as a mainstay in the league type of breakout.
  22. Going all in on Gabe Davis having a breakout year. Could see him sniffing 1,000 and 10 TD, like a Stevie Johnson throwback stat line.
  23. Ah that's it, always a disclaimer. Didn't even see it at first. Enjoy it Mac, I can't imagine you'll be top 20 by Week 4 or so.
  24. How is Mahomes not higher than both Jones and Fields? And I can't stand the guy, but I can't believe for a second that anybody is buying more Jones jerseys than Brady jerseys. They're probably still buying more Brady jerseys in Boston.
