  1. Lessened by guys on 1 year deals maybe … but eventually they gotta get WR, DT and DE in the draft … they got three guys signed there at the moment on the D Line … Im not worried about S enough to be spending a Top 100 pick there
  2. If he was a star he would be getting a lot more than $8m a year… Even at 30 years old, he is going to be the best CB on the roster going into the new season .. He was arguably one of their Top 5 players the second half of last season after he arrived … i would love for CB1 to be their No 1 pick instead … but you gotta live in reality …
  3. Yes I can see that as a possibility…although Van Pran could be a lot of teams second C , so it wouldn’t surprise if he goes even before 60… We both know the Bills need a long term C preferably on a rookie deal sooner rather than later… But I have WR, DE and DT higher up the needs list in 2024 … If you want to bring a guy in to learn a year behind Morse/ Bates for a year , then that’s a Day 3 luxury If you want to spend a Top 80 pick, then it should be on a player with at least some path to being a year 1 starter…
  4. So they going to draft Van Pran at pick 60? I’ll believe that when I see it …
  5. I’m going to say there is as much chance of this happening as the Bills signing Tee Higgins in free agency
  6. im assuming the only time you watched Douglas play this year for the Bills was when he was playing injured against the Chiefs in the playoffs? He played great during the season … he will be the first person they extend ..
  7. He won’t make it past 45 … so he will be long gone by our second 👎
  8. Interesting .,, The bottom of the third round pick probably gets them up 4-5 spots … so if he is giving up more than that …, it’s very brave in my view when there are a lot he needs to get done in this draft and the next
  9. He looks quick enough to me … but agree size is a concern… He isn’t on the table at 28….But if the big 5 are gone then who you picking ? I know you want to move up,,, I think this is one year Beane doesn’t do it..
  10. I would even think about moving down if Thomas and Franklin are gone …Im not as sold on Leggette at 28….think he might end up going around 40… I am becoming more intrigued with McConkey … he obviously isn’t as flash as a couple of others … but I think he can come in here and is a Day 1 contributor…. I love his separation and hands …obviously something we lacked last year …could see him getting Josh’s trust very quickly …
  11. me ? No chance … Bring back Hines at $2m and cut Harty…
  12. Put me down in the disagree column… They got very limited money to spend after pulling every lever they can …Holes at WR2, DT DE and S and you are proposing to spend money on a 30 yr old RB… even at $5m a year ( he will get more ) is not an option really,
  13. Yes to the last line … there is no Chris Jones on this Bills team … Are you keeping him next season by the way? I think you do underestimate the rest of the talent level of this Bills team though judging by other opinions you have expressed ..they took your team all the way and did have a chance to win in the final 2 mins…this was with several injuries in the back 7 which your coach and QB rightfully exploited on the day… Unlike the rest of us here …you have your own team to worry about, so you probably aren’t watching every down of every Bills game …the likes of Kincaid , Cook,Torrence and Bernard are all quality first/second year players which Beane has found in the draft the last two years …Elam was a shocking miss… but softened by finding another starting CB in Round 6 of the same draft,,, There is no point “blowing it up” when they are still likely Division winners again next year and Josh Allen age 28 and at his peak… If things go off the rails and they miss the playoffs …then so be it … it would be nice picking in the teens and finding that new WR without sweating it out whether he falls to you..….
  14. You went down the gloom and doom path all of last years off season too…. Yes.. we understand … he has to have a good draft … they are still bringing back 18 of 22 starters, and have some good pieces on rookie deals ..
  15. I doubt anyone wants to restructure Diggs any further …The dilemma is that he is likely handcuffed to the team for two more years anyway… not one more… and if you don’t restructure him, then you are probably operating at $20-25m max over the cap pulling every other lever possible … Is this enough to bring back DJQ, find a cheap starting safety, edge and WR starting option if need be, fill out the other depth gaps and sign the rookies ?
  16. DQJ is the No 1 guy they bring back … The position he plays is not as age reliant as others… and they love their “veteran in every room “ philosophy… They need to find his replacement in this years draft though … mid round pick should do it… Beane is really going to be earning his money rounds 3-5 this year … keep those picks this year Brandon
  17. it looks too tight ..And it includes cutting Miller which they won’t do…Makes me think they will just restructure Diggs again …so Diggs is here 2024 and 2025 …don’t love it but leaning towards it must be inevitable If you can convince Tre to take a $6m pay cut then yeah .. do that … so he will be back playing for $4m next year though? Agree with a lot of your other points ..including cutting Morse which seems taboo here …
  18. prediction time…. .How many new players are they going to sign over $3m per year this offseason? Might be 3 but if they bring back DQJ and AJE…. might end up being 1 …
  19. I’m not going to lose to much sleep about Knox this year (can’t be traded this offseason) … there is enough immediate issues …but moving forward decisions have to be made …you want to continue paying TE2 $13m a year, or pay Brown and Rousseau ? Can’t pay everyone … He is a TE1 on another team though …
  20. Starting players move on ( or get moved on) every year … I can’t buy there isn’t even a consideration of moving on from a 32 yr old C when they are squeezing every dollar
  21. Might be in the mix … don’t know why he would be ahead of Bates though ? Was a tackle at College
  22. Well… I’m sure they would prefer not to cut Morse …but they need to find $80m in savings … and even with that long laundry list noted above they still don’t get there.. I would also prefer them to get there without restructuring Diggs and Miller any further … so tough moves like this might have to be made… They had the opportunity to move on from Bates 2 years back … but elected to keep him and match the Bears tender .. so they must have seen something that perhaps we don’t see as yet …we don’t really know what he has at C as Morse hasn’t missed a game there in years …
  23. They are paying him $4m a year which is not back up money..,:make him earn it this year… Take a guy Day 3 to see if he can be the man next year
  24. Move on from Morse … no need to kick that down the road any further …they must have kept Bates around for a reason … Restructuring Knox concerns me … I would be looking to trade him after this season … he has more value elsewhere than to the Bills … but they can’t trade him this year
