Chris Trapasso mocking Devontez Walker to the Bills at Pick 28… Says he “was having a good Senior Bowl”… Is this guy for real ? Dude makes his living out of the NFL draft …Does mock drafts all year around … I remember him in his final mock draft in 2018 he had the Bills taking Mason Rudolph in the first… ( ended up going mid third) …what a pick that would have been…

I think they are going to have to have done something prior to the draft … either signed DQ again or someone else on FA to be the starter …too big a risk to hope someone falls to you in the draft … particularly at the end of the second round … i like Sweat but not as the main man in his rookie year … as Gunner said … run to the podium and take him at 60… I think he will be gone at the top of the second though

I agree with a lot of this …. But what’s the expectation for DQ’s cheap one year deal? Hope they aren’t waiting for him to take one of Beane’s $1.7m specials Interested who you have your eyes on in the draft at 1T?

I think they would move on from him tomorrow … but this is the dilemma right…

As there was no previous Shrine thread …I mentioned in the Senior Bowl thread that one guy who caught my eye during Shrine practice was Xavier Thomas - DE Clemson … Going to follow his progress from here … He is 24 yr old already, and has had some injury … Probably would still need to be there Day 3 to take him … Never played in the game …

yeah a 3T…one of their best/ highest paid players …. Doesn’t seem a great 1T class this year …nor the FA class….this is a bigger concern in my view …

Cover 1 guys loved him after one of the early practices … He has had a good week … late third is probably where he is at … He is a 3T though ,,, so he will be the rotational guy behind Oliver … Is that value for us to use our third this year ?

His personal issues aside … I think the way things have turned out for the team… it shows what can happen when you make a risky move when going “all in”… When this team has got a talent like Josh Allen … I know you got to take some chances … but just be prepared when things don’t go to plan for the consequences to have far reaching effects … I heard the guy from Spotrac saying that they should try to cut bait from him this offseason…. If he agrees to change his remaining guaranteed money to a signing bonus … you can release him and push out a lot more money to 2025 …you still gotta pay the piper then though… As you said … the alternative is to keep him on the team and hope he improves …but hen you still dealing with the consequences come 2026 if he doesn’t and you still cut him at the end of 2024 …

Just watching the highlights of the game now .. did he make a catch all week ? Im waiting with bated breath to see if you still got him in your second round come version 2…

I said couple of days ago … are you going to give up the farm to get the perceived fourth best WR over the 6th best ? We saw what happened the last time Beane made an “all in “ move … ( Hi Von) …

The problem seems to be that people seem to think “lots of picks” means that they are valuable to move up in the first 4 of the 10 picks are in the sixth round or later … we have seen in the last two years first hand that a fourth round pick moves you up two spots in late 20s … getting up from 28 to like 17 is a price I don’t think they are paying this year …. With the depth in this years class … I don’t have a problem if they stay put . they should have a choice of multiple good candidates ..

Well … even the third round pick is more than he has given up for years … throw in the fourth and it still won’t get you there ….If you think he is giving up the second or next years picks… like I said ,,, I’ll believe it when I see it

Huh? Maybe read my comment again… Im saying the third round pick is in play..but it won’t be enough to move up into the mid late teens ….
