They still got a number of guys back … and may not be finished yet re-signing people Obviously this is the tightest year for Beane to date…and most of the other teams got a late “windfall “ with the increased cap…so there is more money to throw around this year … Maybe previously loyal guys that have been here a while like Dodson and Jackson get given a “ depth” number that could be a fallback if they don’t get another gig… but both of them got starter money elsewhere … Maybe Neal just got more money from Miami.. No doubt one year only guys like Sherfield and Poona Ford only get “good luck “ on their way out the door …

I would have preferred a more natural fit for the Gabe role personally… as I agree that Samuel won’t be used there more than 20-25% … Obviously they now seek to fill this hole in the draft But Like I said a few days back … they were always making a move like this to add more vet experience to the WR Room… we don’t even know who Shorter is … so leaving Shakir and Diggs to team up with two rookies was never going to work for this conservative brains trust .. I assume Beane just couldn’t compete on the prices that the other guys went for which may have been better fit for the Gabe role I still expect him to be a producer in this team … I’ll take 600 yards out of him ..this is less than Gabe last year … but now more mouths to feed

It’s a large margin until you have confidence Miller can get by one more year …which you won’t know by the draft

I would consider Fiske at 60… hold the trade up,,, I guess it’s how you want to use all those draft picks which are heavy Day three and only 1 on Day 2…i think OL ( this is a deep year for that class), DE , a second WR and even S at the moment ( although I still expect a decent FA signing) … are in play day 2 I know they have nothing behind them at DL … but you have the two main guys… and a likelihood of getting another cheap guy in FA … and also draft 1 or even 2 Day 3 guys … DE is still a major need … Im going to think Miller is done until I see otherwise … even if he can get by next year …he is gone come 2025 … also …most Day 2 DEs need a year to get up to speed…particularly the ones the Bills pick…

Whats Fiske going to do ? Play 25 percent of the snaps behind Oliver ? More of a need at Edge in my view …
