The media wants to latch onto anything to support their anti Josh Allen narrative/ vendetta … and vague comments like this just throws more fuel on that fire … Yeah … that’s not Diggs fault how the media carries on… but surely he must know by now that comments like this create a controversy for the team…. If you are talking about the cap savings being more than expected … then I assume this is how they have squeezed in Samuels deal without reworking anyone else … According to Greg Thomsett yesterday … they are on the cap limit after that .. so they will need to start pulling further levers to get more guys signed …

They did enough to get under the cap… they will make more roster moves to free up money as they see fit … they will need to create more space even to sign back up DTs

Because they didn’t want to go into the season with a WR room of Diggs, Shakir and rookies .. Our OC had worked with Samuel before and knows he can fit into the scheme he is designing.. so he probably prefers to have him rather than have a rookie he doesn’t know as well… Also … Its an odd thing … but not every rookie comes in Year 1 Week 1 with the experience, confidence and knowledge of a vet … Hollins will be the Sherfield replacement … plays some Teams and gets about 40 plays for the year
