Diggs needs to get the ball more - agreed. You later comments about him regressing or something don’t make sense. There are only so many targets to go around on offense. We’ve added mouths to feed and Knox has emerged. In order for Knox and Sanders to put up numbers that people expect, Diggs and Beasley need to get the ball less. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong… all I’m saying is there is a statistical cap on how many plays can be run and targets given.

What has happened for 30 years has nothing to do with the organization in its current form. These are the most aggravating comments. Different owners, coaches, GMs. Unless we were constantly promoting from within or ownership was saying don’t spend resources on discovering TE… all that matters is the past 5 years. I’ve had this thought a lot recently… but that doesn’t mean it’s right. If you’re an NFL franchise and you’re not sure about paying your QB… don’t. Find a comparable player, albeit with some drop off, give him very little money and build a team around him. I’ve observed it with Lamar/Huntley and I think the same thing can be said for Baker/Mullens. Obviously Lamar and Baker are more talented… but if they can’t put it together why waste the money?

If you realized that… you should probably bring it up. You insinuated he was a bad drafter… You’re also not paying attention to how the medical process works. If he’s REMOVED from the board as a medical risk… he’s not going to be taken. Considering one of us has been involved with drafts (outside of their parents basement) and the other hasn’t… I think I’ll stand by my comment.

I think you need to have an understanding of how the draft works before you comment on it. Trey Smith has some medical issues that caused him to be removed from a lot of teams draft boards. It’s not as simple as just picking. If the medical team determines a player is a high risk, it’s not smart for the football guys to ignore them. The medical guys aren’t the in-house training staff either - the team uses independent doctors to conducts tests and review medical records alongside their in-house staff. Also, citing one example of one player in the 6th round that Beane didn’t take isn’t necessarily a strong case for him being a poor drafter…

Blaming the refs is warranted when it’s an obvious missed call. This game was blatantly one-sided when it came to penalties. They didn’t just miss a call in the endzone. They let 3 separate PI/defensive holdings go and then turned an OPI into DPI. Couldn’t stop them in crunch time? Bro they held them to 3 points in the 2nd half… if that’s not crunch time… then what is? Who was complaining about the refs after the NE game? They barely called anything. Only issue was the gift of a 1st down to Mac Jones on 4th down… but it is what it is.

Why is that ridiculous? We’ve played 3 OT games under him and are 1-2. It’s not like we’re going in to overtime 2-3 times a year and haven’t won since 2017. Both losses we got jobbed by the refs and it’s not even debatable. Black jackets running on the field and ruling on “common sense” and this game was the complete opposite. It’s quite funny actually.

No… but I can assure you that the back judge was on the field. And his responsibility there is to identify the primary target when the ball is in the air and help rule on that play. Seeing that the second the ball was snapped Josh went right to Diggs… it wasn’t really difficult to figure out. Do you know where the back judge stands, Gene? He stands at the back of the end zone… the defender was on his knees and pulling Diggs’ jersey… he had a perfect vantage point.

Why is everyone so focused on the referee right there? There’s also the back judge that is responsible for throwing a flag there… what’s the excuse for the back judge? He wasn’t looking?

Explain how the fake is him coaching scared? I get wanting to have Josh on the field, believe me, but he made an aggressive decision by running a fake punt. It’s still an attempt to convert on 4th down.

0-5 in 1 score games. Studies show that 1 score outcomes for teams should generally result in a .500 record. If a team outperforms that… their record in 1 score games decreases by an average of 50% the following season. We won 5/6 1 score games last year (almost 6/6)… good for 83% of our 1 scores. Meaning this season we should be winning roughly 40% of our 1 score games. That would put us at 2-3 in 1 score games and 9-4 in the standings. We’re getting crushed here.

Well for starters… this team has won back to back games this year. Dude… have you looked at anyone else? We currently have the tiebreaker over the teams behind us…

So you think we’re losing 2 of our next 4? That’s essentially what it will take… We’re currently sitting as the 7 seed. Cleveland, Cincinnati and Denver are tied with us but are losing the tiebreaker. They all play each other on top of other division opponents.
