  1. On the Bills feed, 2 games in a row now they've been doing meaningless sideline interviews and not come back to tell you what happened. Last week was after a 5 yard penalty gave Carolina a first down rather than having to punt from inside the 10 (basically turned the whole game around) and tonight there is a guy running for what looks like a Browns td and I have no idea what happened. I presume the ball hit the ground on the pass to him but they never told you nor showed a replay. Drives me insane. (I mean I could have missed the interview with Jordan Mills and not felt deprived).
  2. I'm more worried about the linebackers. Edmunds gets a pass. He's just getting his feet wet and the athleticism is obvious. I think he just needs experience. But the rest of this group, to me anyway, are backup quality at best. I've seen nothing positive from Milano in 2 games and he is undersized to begin with. I think this is an area of dire need for next year (if not sooner off the waiver wire).
  3. It really does no good to analyze these players before they step on a field. What kind of instruction are they getting? How do they fit a system that takes advantage of their skill set? Can they be part of a successful program by contributing something? (They all aren't going to be all pros but sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of the parts). Good organizations succeed by teaching, finding pieces that fit together and having the right environment for people to contribute. In the past that hasn't been the case here. I think it is what you need to judge this coach and administration on and the won loss record will reflect whether they are doing it right or not. The results last year were really encouraging.
  4. I loved this sentence: "There were surprises, arguments, challenges, and when it was all said and done, the Chargers still walked away from draft weekend with the potential to have every draft pick contribute." Well duh! Every single team has the potential to have every draft pick contribute unless they took someone who is injured. What a dopey statement.
  5. I don't love this group, especially the right side of the line. I think there were so many holes to fill this year that it wasn't possible to get them all with players that are any better than depth options on most teams with good offenses.. I expect the 2019 draft to be heavy on OL, RB, WR, TE.
  6. I get all the rest but just not crazy about Ray Ray. (Though love the name). Just don't see the purpose in a 5'10" oft injured wideout. Did we need to draft a position less kick returner? That said, this crew of drafters seems thorough and on top of things. I knew going in they had too many holes to fill them all through the draft. I see wide receiver, tight end, running back in their draft future for next year.
