  1. This thread is about the player. Let's please stop going after one another about the charity.
  2. Was thinking of that. He has to be suffering with guilt over something that really wasn't his fault at all.
  3. Why didn't you quote the end of my messsge? After pointing out it's going to be a nightmare for the NFL, I pointed out that isn't what matters here.
  4. Even if we forfeit, given the class the Bengals have shown, I don't think they'd want it. Clinching the division and jumping into second seed...how do you celebrate that? How do you take enjoyment in it? Wining a division is an accomplishment, pop the champaign. I can't image they'd want to get that this way.
  5. It's a logistical nightmare. A tie gives Cinci the division where a loss gives the Ravens a chance. A tie puts KC in first seed. I don't envy the NFL in sorting this. At the same time I honestly don't care about any of that right now.
  6. Puts things in perspective. In the end, it's a game. And yes, I know I've gotten emotionally vested. I know I'll care about the Bills tomorrow. But today? I went from "You gotta be kidding me! Another injury?!?" to "Holy s***, I hope he'd okay. That's all that matters." My god...
  7. Would unbalance the divisions. Jets and 'Phins beat us in their homes, but lost to us here. Now if we happened to only play once against division foes and pulled NE at home, NYJ and MIA on the road, we'd have finished 1-2 in the division, losing tie-breakers to both the Jets and 'Phins. The tie-breaker would be based on the one head-to-head. Could you imagine if, say, the Cowboys and Eagles only played once a season, and what an advantage home-field would give them?
  8. Didn't we start 5-1 one year and miss the playoffs? 🤔 Trust me, I am enjoying watching the 'Fins and Jets implode, but we Bills' fans aren't really in a position to outright mock them for it.
  9. Oh, I agree. Why I said... Just wild to think that JAX is in a position to win a Wild Card spot. Hell, even if TEN hadn't imploded and won the division the Jags would currently be 7th seed going into week 18. Given it's...well...JAX, it's remarkable.
  10. I wanted to play nosy and took a peek. If JAX wins, they of course win the division. But even if they lose, they would get a Wild Card if NE, MIA and PIT all lose (due to conference records). And honestly that's not beyond the realm of possibility, given their respective opponents (BUF, NYJ, CLE). Staggering to think there is an unlikely, but still decently possible way that JAX and TEN both make the playoffs. Now, don't get me wrong. I think JAX is going to beat TEN, but even the idea of JAX being alive for a Wild Card should they lose is stunning
  11. I love all their talk about his safety, there are more important things then football, etc., after they kept throwing him back in to be killed after the last two. Not fooling anyone. We know what you did, Miami.
  12. Yes, I think they can. I think they can beat anyone. But I don't like the idea of fighting off a scrappy wild card, going to Cinci and then going to KC. I can sign my name left-handed, but right-handed is a lot easier.
  13. Say it with us...YOU GOTTA PLAY US Honestly, with all of this I get the feeling the Bengals really don't wanna play us. Esp. since a loss means their game with the Ravens next week will be for the division. They're scared, and trying to hype themselves up.
  14. Mahomes has not won a road playoff game. 0-...oh? Yeah, he hasn't played a playoff game outside of Arrowhead. Ever. So yeah, it's very important period. Also, we drop to #3 Seed, we're likely going to Cincy then KC to get to the Super Bowl. We get #1 Seed, we'll only have to face one of the two at most, at home, maybe neither if there is an upset or two.
  15. I think the Giants have a dearth of talent, worse then when Buffalo ended the drought. Without having a good enough draft position, they're not landing an elite QB without trading a decent number of picks away...picks they desperately need to improve the talent around the QB and RB. If I were them, I'd keep Jones and do everything I can to actually get some real talent on that team.
  16. They're scared and posturing. He's trying to flex to settle his teammates down. Remind them what they did last year. Confident teams don't feel the need for stunts like this.
  17. Hope 2023 is good to all of ya!
  18. Apparently Tua and his teammates are all it's us against the world. He's not done! He's gonna get killed at this rate.
  19. I disagree slightly. There is one game that matters, even if we win out, the KC game. If we win and KC loses, we lock the 1st seed and can rest people (and not worry about the Pats game).
  20. My guess is he doesn't want to bail on this season, and will retire after this season regardless of outcome.
  21. Oh, not disputing that. And I was proven wrong about pre-concussion vs. post. I'm not blaming any part of his performance on the concussion anymore, just to be clear. That play I described just stuck out to me. I had never seen anything like it before or after. He just stopped short of the sideline and did nothing but stare into space. Lucky the guy gently shoved him oob. I honestly think he could have ripped the ball out while Edwards was oblivious.
  22. I was determined to prove you wrong, so I checked the stats. Holy crap, who stuck the rose-colored glasses on. Stats-wise prior he was servicable at best. Didn't change much after. I'll still maintain he never looked right after the hit. I remember one play vs. Miami where he ran out of bounds two yards short of the marker on 3rd down. Typical of him, I know. Except he didn't run out of bounds. He stopped like a half yard from the sideline and just stood there. Defender was confused, pulled up and gave him a gentle shove oob. He may not have been good prior or worse after, but there was definately something wrong.
  23. They gambled with Tua, trying to make this year their year, and were still trying this weekend. Which is crazy. They are not winning the SB this year, and they might have just cost themselves what was actually starting to look like a franchise QB this year. Hell, I remember Trent Edwards and how he looked before and after the Cards game. And that was just a single concussion.
  24. IE, the Patriots way. It worked well for them, and now working well for us.
