Just another pile of garbage by a clueless national reporter. Funny he didn't say that Allen's QBR is the best of all rooks and is almost identical to Aaron Rodgers. That of course didn't fit his narrative and wasn't in the box score.

That shows a major,  major flaw in QBR. Rodgers has thrown 23 TD to 1 INT this year. 1! Allen is at 5 and 9. He gets apparently a huge boost from his running.

This is probably too early to say but I'll say it anyway, I don't think Allen is ever going to be a great passer. He won't ever be a high completion % QB. But if the game continues to slow down for him and works at it he will be sufficient enough and along with his athleticism he will be more than fine.

The big issue is if he gets too comfortable running, and runs even when plays aren't there, or runs for 10 when there is a 30 yard pass there for the taking.

I'm not saying that will happen. And his running has been crazy good. It's just a result of seeing Browns QBs in the past getting "used" to scrambling from pressure to the point that they scramble, pressure or not.

Allen can develop as a passer,  but isn't very polished yet.

The article that was posted on here a few days ago about how Beane can turn the Bills into contenders next year talked about giving up a 3rd and 4th round pick in 2019 for one of these guys. A 3rd and 4th is quite possible I think especially for the Falcons who are gonna want as many picks as possible to rebuild that defense in a defense heavy draft and the fact that Julio has contract issues and they drafted Calvin Ridley last year. If a 3rd and 4th doesn't work, I would think about giving up a 2nd and 5th. We could still have a first round pick. Julio is 30 and AJ is 31. No one is giving up 1st round pick for either one

I think there is zero chance of either being traded for 3rds and 4ths. Julio is probably the best or top 3 at worst WR in the game, and AJ is close when healthy. Those picks don't help half as much or close as them. And it isn't like they are 35 with only a year or 2 left.

    1. Trade for Julio Jones or Aj Green

    2. Sign Tyler Eifert to a one year deal to prove durability. If he proves to stay healthy, resign to longer contract

    3. Sign Matt Paradis

    4. Sign Daryl Williams at RT (Carolina guy so will probably get signed by Beane)

    5. Get a secondary receiver receiver on a small 2 year contract like Tyrell Williams or Randall Cobb

    6. Sign Jadeveon Clowney or DeMarcus Lawrence

    7. Resign Lorenzo, if not, Clay Matthews on small contract or Anthony Barr

    8. Sign Jason Verrett to be the #2 corner

    9. Attempt to resign Kyle to another year

Draft Top Olineman or Top pass rusher in draft round 1.

Draft Anthony Johnson, WR from UB in round 2

That is my dream offensive scenario.

    Carry on

How do you still have 1st and 2nd round picks while trading for Julio or AJ?

Their skill positions aren’t great but their oline is way better than ours.

Watch Mayfield maneuver the pocket. It's amazing.  The oline in Cleveland has been much better since Jackson was fired, but we have started a 285lbs UDFA rookie at LT, and complete bust Greg Robinson at LT. The middle 3 are great, but our tackles are very weak.

You are still missing it. For every drop there is a fantastic catch for most teams.... Bills dropping wide open easy passes, and never making the great catches.

No, you are delusional if you think teams are making crazy catches left and right. I can think of 2 catches like that for Cleveland this year.  Chubb, and Landry against the Jets. They are showing 16 drops this year.

Cleveland has a better supporting cast, but it isn't like they are All Pro at all these positions.  Landry is very good. Higgins is good for 25 - 30 yards a game. Callaway is boom or bust. Njoku is crazy talented, but drops a lot of passes and couldn't block me. We are playing Perriman, a complete bust in Baltimore, a lot of meaningful snaps.

  7. 6 minutes ago, PolishPrince said:

But thats just it... Im not saying it a knock of Mayfield... I am saying when has Allen EVER got a catch like that lol, or even clay catching the game winner "even though it wobbled," or Clay catching the dime across the middle where he may have taken it 40+ yards... or hitting Zay in the chest and it just bounced off lol

I didn't miss anything. Higgins dropped a wide open 30 yard TD last week. Chubb made a crazy catch for sure.

They also have a run game, and guys making spectacular catches from time to time...

Do people knock Eli when Beckham does that? Every QB gets bailed out from time to time,  just as every QB has dropped passes. You cant just say "he's over 60%" if you take out drops." Every QB has passes dropped.

I’d like to see Baker vs the Jags.

He was hot garbage vs the Bucs/Texans/Steelers/Chargers.

You see right through my insecurities ????

Youre good Frazier !     I cherry picked 4 more games for you ??

Mayfield had 215 yards, 2TD and 0 INT against Tampa.

He did struggle against Houston in the 1st half. He threw for 352 yards in the 2nd half, and should have had 2 TDS if Callaway doesn't fumble into the end zone on a 71 yard pass.

Mayfield has definitely had a few rough patches but as a passer, but he is head and shoulders above Allen right now. Allen has impressed me. I thought he would bomb right off the bat,  but he has been better than I expected.

That's fine, but to me it seemed like he was kicking a man when he was down in order for him to win points with his fan base.  Was classless and immature.

You mean like Hue's media tour after he was fired where he indirectly blamed everybody but himself, and tried to rewrite history by saying he wanted Wentz and Watson? Classless and immature like that?

    1 hour ago, PetermanThrew5Picks said:

Yeah.. acts like he didn't transfer from Tech to Oklahoma. You da turncoat Baker. Hue got fired and took a job! You dumped the Big12 team that launched your career for a better program to **** on your old team for.. Baker reasons.

That, or Tech wouldn't offer their starting freshman walk on QB a scholarship, so he left.

So we currently stand at 4-7, 3-5 in the AFC

We are 2 games behind Ravens and Colts and 1 game behind Dolphins, Bengals, Broncos, Titans.

Do we still have a chance? Still thinking 9-7 with 7-5 AFC record could sneak us.

Half game behind the 4-6-1 Browns too!

Exactly, he was fired and took the first job offering that came to him

He didn't quit on them to take the Cincy job

I think his point was, how many fired coaches take a job 2 weeks later DURING the season? Jackson will be paid either way, so it's really odd to take a job so soon on a team Cleveland played twice still. That,  and the fact that Hue tried to push all blame for his failures on to other people.

Anybody see the browns WR give THE TD ball to Hugh Jackson. Boy that was cold! ?

It was Damarious Randall, the FS. He intercepted Dalton, stepped out of bounds, and handed Hue the ball. It was hilarious.

A good interim choice I think plus they are done with Pittsburgh- so Al can end another streak.

Per CBS “Jackson is the sixth straight Cleveland coach to be fired following the team's second game against Pittsburgh. Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini, Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski and Mike Pettine all met the same demise.”

Just unbelievable how Pittsburgh is in Cleveland’s head as bad as NE is in ours.

This is misleading.  Cleveland had ended their season with Pittsburg all but 1 year since 2010.

Word - regardless of who's on your roster, Browns could have strong armed a rather desperate Jags team into at least a 4th if not 3rd. Especially for Hyde who has been doing well this season.

Hyde is on essentially a 1 year contract.  This is a 10 game (9 if you figure he won't play this weekend) for a 5th round pick. No one would pay more than that.

Plus, Hyde has been solid but not great. 3.3 YPC. 5 TDs but all 2 yards or less.

Funny part is, Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen are ranked 40, 42, 44 and 46 respectively in terms of completions and the bills have no one in their WR group that can run a route let alone catch a ball.

Allen has been off the mark in some games and has made bad throws at times but I don't think he's that far off from the others that were drafted.

Mayfield missed the 1st 10 quarters too.

This is interesting......did you think Josh Allen's fumble was "his fault" when his knee was clearly down?

I honestly didn't see the play so I can't comment. Obviously Baker is credited with a fumble but it wasn't his fault. If Allen's was really down then yes he'll be credited with a fumble but it wouldn't be his fault.
