Our grocery baggers are gonna kick your garbage mens' asses in the 4th quarter!

A Browns writer is saying this is more about moving on than the compensation. Basically said that issues extend back to last year and that isn't wasn't entirely performance based.
I've heard a lot that Coleman is lazy and didn't know the playbook. The ability is there but not always the mental part.

Like I said, Jarvis and the Maybes. We have no idea how guys like Higgins and Callaway will do when the games are played, and relying on anything from Gordon by now is as foolish as it gets.
Right. Higgins had 2 good games last year. The rest were average at best. Coleman was a Maybe too.

Josh MIA Gordon and Antonio Callaway ... gulp. It’s Jarvis and the Maybes out there.
Rashard Higgins has been outplaying Coleman all camp, and Callaway has looked good so far. Landry has been crazy good, and they seem to think Gordon will be back in plenty of time for the season. Coleman has talent, but injuries and laziness have hampered him

Good luck with Coleman. He has suspect hands and is injured a lot. He could turn it around, but he has a reputation for being lazy too.

This is well written and pretty much in line with my views. Dan Wetzel, on the other hand, is doing a poor job covering this story. He appeared to be unaware of the Earl Bruce connection yesterday, and today he's harping on Title IX and the OSU sexual misconduct policy even though everyone who has dug into those documents agrees they are inapplicable.
The more I think about promoting Day over Schiano or Wilson, the more it makes sense and indicates that Ohio State is taking a long view of a future without Urban.
I think promoting day had more to do is schiano's involvement and ties to the Penn State program when the issues were there, and Wilson's issues at Indiana.

This is what will ultimately take him down.
"Also, as an Ohio State employee who supervises others, Meyer is required by the university's sexual misconduct policy to report knowledge of domestic abuse by a university employee. According to the policy, "An individual need not be charged with or convicted of a criminal offense to be found responsible for domestic violence pursuant to this policy."

He was charged for raping a 54 and a 59 year old woman, and attempting to rape a 71 and 86 year old. What the hell?

1. 191 yds/game is inaccurate.
2. Cleveland agreed to trade a 2nd and 3rd draft pick for McCarron. They were only willing to give up a 3rd rd pick for Taylor.
3. Allen was the 3rd QB taken in a QB rich draft.
The Bills and Browns clearly think that McCarron is better than Taylor and the NFL clearly thinks that Allen is a stud.
Cleveland offered a stupid trade out of desperation to win a game. Sashi Brown rightly took too long to send in the paperwork.
McCarron can't beat out Dalton.
And Allen was drafted on potential alone. He may turn out great, he may not.

Didn't realize Josh Allen played for Brian Kelly at a national powerhouse surrounded by 4-5 star talents. Interesting. I can now see why so many are against him.
Goes to show the importance of coaches.
Since when is ND a national powerhouse? They have a good year every 5 or 10 years and that's it. I actually like Allen, if you give him a LOT of time to sit. But accuracy isn't something that usually gets a ton better once in the NFL.

Josh Allen is Deshone Kizer on steroids. Everything you could want in a QB but none of the production.
3 hours ago, cba fan said:That shows how far the play went. NOT how far the QB threw the ball in the air.
My point is Allen throws the ball much much further in the air.
Also the following graph taken off same site your comp % was on shows Rosen and Allen are about the same. Rosen does better on 4 yrd passes and that is about it.
He's literally last in all but 1 spot, and in that he's 4th out of 5.

The Steelers thought Rudolph was the best QB among the top six...I am sure their scouting abilities are far better!
No, they didn't. If they thought he was the best QB in the draft, they take him in the 1st round, not the 3rd.

How do you not pick Chubb to lineup across from Garrett... mind boggling. Definitely Brownsed that one up good.
Because Ogbah is a damn good DE in his own right. Good pass rusher and great against the run.

I want Hurst in Cleveland at 64. He lives in opponents' backfields.

Thanks for the insight. Still feels like an opportunity to get some really value with that pick was missed.
Apparently they think Corbett can be a LT. If he can, he fills a potential need. He and Coleman can compete.
Landry has some major concerns, and wouldn't be a starter right away anyway.

So they pass on the other Chubb and Landry now. Interesting. I thought they would go for another pass rusher to go opposite Garrett.
Emmanuel Ogbah is pretty good. When he and Garrett played together last year, they were very good. Garrett started the year hurt and Ogbah ended it hurt.

Isn't he from an "air raid offence"
Those guys usual struggle big in the NFL.
Right. No way to tell yet. Tons of NFL people were high on Mahomes last year, so maybe something there. He could suck too. But until he gets a chance to play, you can't say who did better.
7 minutes ago, OJABBA said:What if Mahomes turns out to be a franchise QB, but the Bills are a more successful team than the Chiefs?
Unless Allen is a franchise guy too, they won't be better. It all depends on how the 2 QBs turn out.

I would make that trade in a heart beat.
Unless Mahomes turns out to be a franchise QB. No way to say who "won" yet.

I'd bet 1 or 2 start day 1. That's never "the plan" but always seems to work out that way.

Everyone way underestimated what it would cost to get to 2
I'd take 12, 22, 53, and 65 for 4. Then trade 53 and 35 for another pick in the early 20s. 4 1st rounders.

The Giants no longer have a #1 pass rusher. They have Vernon who is a nice supplement, but don't be surprised when they take Bradley Chubb at 2.
I think Cleveland trades out of four to move down for a LT and Barkley slides to #5 to the Broncos.
There are no elite LT in this draft, and Coleman was decent at RT last year and is moving back to his more natural LT position. If McGlinchey drops to the 20s I could see it, but they aren't desperate for a LT.

If Darnold gets to #4 and a bidding war starts, the Bills are squarely in the driver's seat. People keep mentioning Arizona, but it will for sure take 2019 #1 for them to get up there, they dont have the ammo not to.
Patriots are a wild card, but I'd be surprised if they move up for Darnold.
I agree that Buffalo has the most draft capital to move up, and would probably win the bid, but it'll drive up the cost to have Darnold there and a bunch of teams interested.

I am fully convinced if Mayfield goes 1st, that the Jets take Rosen #3. He is closer to the mold of the QBs their GM and OC have taken in the past.
Getting prepared for Darnold to be the guy the Bills take.
If Darnold is there at 4, let the bidding war begin.
Josh Allen 1st Rookie To Win SB...Odds?

He scored high on a written test, but has proven to make dumb choices on the field. He could correct them longterm, but extremely doubtful as a rookie.
