You aren’t wrong Bates is a really good left guard that is a mediocre right guard. He was forced to start there after the Saffold signing. Saffold is terrible the second half of the year PFF grave him a 43 grade one of the worst grades for a starting guard in the league. Browns injuries slowed him down but he was rough. The Bills honestly need 2 -3 new linemen out of the off season.

Pressure is on McBeane - PFT discussion

Not really considering in the Bengals game he threw 1 prayer at the end trying to make something happen. Mahomes only scored 20 points against the Bengals as he was gifted 3 at the end and was responsible for the Bengals tying the game. Last year Allen had 9 touchdowns and 12 incompletions in 2 playoff games and you still blamed him. -
Teams lose key free agents all the time the Eagles are about to lose arguably their best defensive lineman in Jevon Hargrove. The Cowboys literally are going to have no running backs at the start of free agency with Pollard leaving and Zeke getting cut. I Such is life in the NFL. Jordan was one of the guys who came to this team to start the turnaround but he’s ready to move on it happens.

I don’t know what more you want Allen to do the guy is responsible for 180 touchdowns in 5 years and he’s basically the Bills running game and short yardage offense. As for Patrick the turnover he had in the AFC championship game that allowed the Bengals to tie the game Allen would have gotten killed for from people like yourself. These comments make me wish after the Jets game when he suffered his UCL Sprain he should have just shut it down for the year and you would have seen the utter crap not named Diggs he plays with week to week. -

Between this and OBJ he’s done more to help Josh Allen than the front office.- 181 replies

Yes they were absolutely trucked by the Jacoby Brissette lead Browns right before their winning streak this belief the Bengals are some kind of juggernaut is ridiculous they are really good in close games. Heck they played a 1 score game with Malik Willis and Tennessee. The Bills just had a Murphys Law game at the absolute worst time. So what you’re saying is you want Allen to just take a checkdown every play like Burrow does gotcha. -
Great find. I have to give credit to Josh there a bunch of guys who would have milked this for everything it’s worth in this league. He never missed a snap, never missed a game, and never used it as an excuse. When it’s clear he very easily could have.

The only untouchable player on this roster wears number 17. Everyone can be cut or restructured. There is never cap jail even when the Bills lose players to free agency they simply get comp picks in the draft. The Baltimore Ravens and Cowboys have been doing it for years and are just as close to a Super Bowl as the Bills.

I look at the Cowboys model except our QB is all world theirs is maybe all Harris county or something. You build the offensive line and add weapons then keep adding picks for depth on defense using the compensatory pick model. The one thing you also need to consider is as hard as it is for the Bills all those other teams have to play each other too. -
They have a number 3 receiver in Davis playing the 2 and they have a number 3 receiver in McKenzie playing in the nfl when the league he should be in started last weekend. They need badly to get a number 2 so Davis can slide to the 3 and Shakur can move to the 4 and also so if Diggs gets into Diva mode they can move him next year when the cap hit will be less. They also badly need to look at the 2TE spot since the Bills really don’t have one on the roster.

He won the Conn Smythe the year after he was traded I think he did just fine already.
