  1. MO Hurst would be huge if healthy. Tyrell Crosby would be nice. I don't see WR but you never know.
  2. Nothing concrete to be honest. Josh Allen himself mentioned today that he met with the Pegula's for dinner. They met him for a private workout. Just sounds like they met him and fell in love with the typical "good kid, work ethic, strong arm" stuff we've been hearing. I could be wrong and i hope i am. I just can't think of a QB that has overcome some of the issues he has(accuracy, poor production) and become a franchise QB.
  3. I agree. Besides them moving up(which i'm ok with), i feel as though this pick was heavily influenced by Pegula. That doesn't sit right with me to be honest. We'll probably never know the truth but ownership meddling in football decisions is the worst. As a Bills fan i will support Allen. Its a bitter pill to swallow until proven otherwise.
  4. Its taken me over 24 hours to process the pick. Still not a fan. Having a really hard time getting over the numbers he put last season at Wyoming. This one is tough to take, i think we could've had him at 12 without giving up the 2nd rounders. I don't believe that the Cardinals wanted Allen.
  5. I chose Lamar Jackson. I don't trust Josh Allen at all. I don't trust this franchise to be patient enough to develop him properly. You think Beane or McDermott will survive 2 full seasons of Allen holding a clip board? If we don't make the playoffs both years? If AJ McCarron doesn't pan out as a decent QB option? I think Lamar Jackson has a chance to start right away and be a difference maker immediately. I don't know if he'll work out long term but his potential is pretty high. Unfortunately this franchise has been very short sighted in my lifetime. For that reason i don't think Allen is an option.
  6. The hate for this guy is unreal. He's had a rough start to his career but he also hasn't had much help on the d-line. I think we could see him improve pretty significantly this season. Our d-line depth is already much improved from last season and that is before the draft. I still like Lawson.
  7. If we are adamant about moving up i really hope we don't move that 2019 1st rounder. The roster as currently constructed looks like a bottom tier offense. Unless that #2 pick comes in and tears the league apart i don't see the firepower to score enough TD's to win. I would be extremely cautious throwing a rookie QB into the fire behind this o-line. An unpopular idea might be to add McCoy into the deal for #2. We'd take a step back in the running game but a step forward in keeping a draft pick. Behind this o-line, lack of WR quality, and unknown QB play McCoy may be in tough to replicate his success from 2017. Could be a "sell while the iron is still hot" in this case. Do not move that 2019 1st rounder please.
  8. Lamar Jackson is a really good prospect. If none of Rosen, Mayfield or Darnold are available (to pick or to trade for) i'd probably take Jackson at 12. I think under the right coaching staff/system he could be really good. From everything i've read and watched of Jackson he's got a terrific work ethic. Concerns of a dual threat QB being more susceptible to injury are overblown. Injuries are more of a factor when a player has had previous injuries, suspect work ethic, or in a lot of cases poor luck. I personally want one of Mayfield, Rosen or Darnold but i wouldn't be the least bit upset if Lamar Jackson is our consolation prize. He is not Tyrod 2.0.
  9. Allen is a no go for me. If he drops to 12 i'd still have a hard time taking him. Too many red flags regarding his lack of production. For me i'd be fine with any of the following at 12: Darnold Rosen Mayfield Nelson Barkley Chubb James Edmunds Smith Fitzpatrick Vea Ward Not necessarily that order but beyond getting one of the top 3 QB's i wouldn't mind any of those guys wearing a Bills uni.
  10. Buffalo Bills Picks 12 - Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville 22 - Daron Payne, DT, Alabama 53 - DJ Chark, WR, LSU 56 - Frank Ragnow, C, Arkansas 65 - Darius Leonard, LB, South Carolina State 96 - Kerryon Johnson, RB, Auburn In an ideal world we'd see one of Rosen or Mayfield drop to 12 but beyond that i'd say that draft looks pretty good. I probably wouldn't go RB at 96 either.
  11. O-line is where big money is spent. IF we aren't in a position to draft one of Mayfield, Rosen or Darnold then i wouldn't be upset to see us go o-line in the 1st. If all the QB's are gone that means a really good player has dropped.
  12. Trading up for Josh Allen would be heartbreaking.
  13. Are there any potential cuts post June 1st that could be in play? I think that might be where we get a few pieces to shore up the roster. If i recall correctly isn't that how we got Incognito in the first place?
  14. Something is off. If healthy i want him back. Healthy meaning his brain as well as his body. Not sure if that is the case.
  15. Dez would be a big upgrade here. I don't see him coming here but i'd take him for sure. I think wherever he ends up next year will get a big year out of him. Rosen throwing to Dez or Benjamin in the end zone would be lethal.
  16. Some of those are brutal. Worst case for Darnold is Andrew Luck? LOL... well in that case we should be trading every pick we own this year to move up. Mason Rudolph ~ Andy Dalton is a decent comp. Wouldn't be a horrible pick in the 2nd round. Even at 22 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I think people on this forum are downplaying the quality of QB Andy Dalton is compared to what we've had the last 20 years. Sure it'd be great to have the next Tom Brady/Peyton Manning but at this point i'd even be happy with a Dalton level QB. I have moderate hope that McCarron is can be a decent-good QB. Would help if we had an o-line to help protect the QB. On the topic of o-line i think this is now our biggest need outside QB.
  17. Picked James Washington as i think he has the best upside for the WR left. I could see us going o-line. Ragnow should be available with the early 3rd rounder. He'd be a good get there.
  18. I don't think the draft is going to go as many of the analysts would have us believe. We could see a run off of QB's early but something tells me that won't be the case. We might see Mayfield drop to 12. We might see Jackson be available at 22. Rudolph could be available late in the 2nd round. There are a lot of talented players in the draft beyond just QB.
  19. For this mock went with Payne as i think he's the BPA for what we need. None of the top LB are available in this scenario which is really unfortunate. I don't mind Lamar Jackson at 12 but am hopeful that we figure out a way to get someone better.
  20. Tremaine Edmunds could be a tremendous add to the LB core.
  21. there really is no right answer. I can get behind a number of scenarios this draft. Scenario 1: Trade up to #2 at whatever cost. This way you pretty much guarantee you get THE guy you want. Beane's tenure as Bills GM will be defined by this selection. Ideal scenario here is that you find a QB for the next 10 years. Scenario 2: Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield are all gone 1-2-3. No chance to move up unless you value Allen enough to do so(i don't personally). You take BPA at 12 and so on. Possibly get a QB late in rd 2(Lauletta, White). Could take Lamar Jackson if that is who Beane wants to hitch his wagon to. Could really solidify other positions here(LB, DL, OL). Scenario 3: Mayfield drops to 12. Unlikely scenario but it is possible that a lot of this QB craze is just posturing by teams ahead of the bills trying to drive up the price. Scenario 4: Move up to 7ish to draft a QB that drops if you think another team might look to jump ahead of the Bills. Or the Dolphins might take the guy. It could work out where we don't end up with a QB until the end of the 2nd/early 3rd. Can't hold it against Beane if there are no willing trade partners. Overpaying is one thing, but getting downright robbed doing so is another. The last thing i want is them giving up a ton of assets for the 4th best QB. Obviously whoever they pick i'll support but it'd be a tough pill to swallow to give up all those assets to get to #5 and pick Allen.
  22. Trade up for a top QB. Get the best guy possible. The team has holes but the holes can be filled over the next decade while you have a good QB.
  23. Rosen has immense talent. I'd root for him 100% if he were a Bill.
  24. This would be very patriot-like to move off Gronk after using up most of his prime years. Tre white hit aside Gronk would be a stud in a bills uni. A massive help to any qb we'd get. Not happening so i hope he goes out west. 49ers or Rams is good.
