There are definitely some plays that make you g wtf. Him running straight up field like 20 yards past the qb. Chasing a guy slower than linval. Tackling the center on a fake hand off. But most plays its just a 5 yard dance with blocker.

Who leads the Bills in passes defended...AJE with 7. Von Miller has 2 tackles, no sacks, 3 pressures, 1 qb hit in 163 snaps. Kingsley J in comparison has 68 snaps and has 4 tackles, 5 pressures and 2 qb hits. Sherfield has 100 more offensive snaps than Harty 231 to 129. Likely due to blocking. Combined the 2 have 20 catches. Shakir has 25 catches. What stats you got?

Thats the game you play. If you do it right you are matching years with high cap hits with guys coming off the books.

Tre restrux or cutting him gets another $5-6M Knox restrux gets $3M Milano restrux gets $2.7M A bunch of other restrux on guys like Bass, Bates, McG, etc can add up to another $5-10M. So before even cutting guys I got to over $20M in space. Now if you cut Harty and Hines that is another $10M. So with only losing Harty and Hines we have $30M in space. Cut deep and get rid of guys like Hyde, Power, Morse, Johnson then we could be north of $50M but better have some replacemnts. Never as bad as it seems...

Miller has more hits on his girlfriend than QB's this year. Well that assumes he got in at least two blows.

Rules say they can practice Mon-Wed and then get the rest of the week off. If Von is in DAL those days either he or the entire team did not practice.

A 6-6 team fighting for its life should be practicing.

What comes to mind is why is he in Dallas still? Is the team not practicing all week? Do key players decide to not practice? That would explain a lot of how this season has gone.

Better question is if they play well on offense do they hire Brady as OC? My hope is that have higher aspirations and bring in a more experienced and creative OC. Brady can stay on QB coach and be groomed to be an OC.

Next game tells us nothing. This team could go 5-0 or 0-5. They could go beat KC and DAL then lose LAC and NE. There have not been many games this season that the team has lived up to the expectations.

In nearly all the tough losses you can point to decisions by McD. The most recent you have the all out blitz in Denver. Then the last game the 20 seconds decision and the TO's used. Its odd because the Denver move is being overaggressive when he did not have to be. Then the PHI is being overly conservative. He seems to lack situational awareness and make bad decisions under pressure. Hence the abnormally high losses in close games. When the pressure is on McD folds.

I think they wanted a blocking WR. Gabe Davis was blocking more than normal. So that is the only exclamation I have for the 3rd downs...but it did cost them. Cant recall if they were 3rd downs but there was the play Sherfield didnt get the memo for the pass optionn on the screen and another to Sherfield that should have been Diggs.

Without Allen we would have had multiple early first round picks and a different head coach.

We will sign Hopkins to more money than he made this year. We will draft a CB/S/DE. Hopkins will tear his achilles in training camp. We will sign McK for 2 yr $9M.

Will be a DE to replace Floyd and Miller. The cycle continues.

I hated the signing from the start. People pointed to a good year in 2021 (36 catches for 570 yards) and ignored the 3 others with 2, 6 and 20 catches. He was an upgrade to McK who had 42 catches in 2022 and was consistently a 20-30 catch guy. Not sure why anyone would buy Harty as an upgrade. It is very rare for a guy that has been in the league 5 years becomes someone different.

I only ice the kicker after the other team has already taken a time out. I could see a long break in that siltation working. On a situation when the kicking team has no time outs and is rushing for the kick it makes no sense. You are calling a time out for them basically because they would if they had one.

Piling this on McD as well. Maybe Bass confidence is shot. How many ~55 yards field goals do they pass on? We are constantly punting from the 40 instead of giving Bass a chance. That tells Bass we dont believe in you. Meanwhile around the league you see more and more kickers making 55+ yard kicks.

Peters or Norman? Peters has at least been serviceable this century.

Incomplete pass to Brown. Philly needed to get the O off the field and bring the kicking team out, line up and kick the ball. I do not get the ice the kicker in that situation. Its one thing when the other team is not rushed and has their own time-outs or was killing clock for a easy kick. This was PHI looking for more yards so the kick would not be a 60 yarder. We basically gave them time to prep and get all their ducks in a row and kicker warm up longer. Makes absolutely no sense.
