  1. I can see the Carolina boys liking Royce Freeman because he reminds me of Jonathan Stewart but the guy I really want is Jaylen Samuels from NCST. He's a RB/FB/HB/WR/TE all rolled into one. Has a knack for the endzone and makes ridiculous catches from the slot and out the backfield. I can totally see the Patriots targeting him in the 2nd and 3rd and turning him into a stud. Other guys I like are Mark Walton and Rashaad Penny.
  2. His son works for the Jets and they're super high on him. This is Mel getting ahead of the story when they take him at #6.
  3. Bad character guy. I don't like paying DL who have bad character issues even while on a rookie contract. He's a stay away from me. I hope we go after Andrew Norwell from Carolina. Box off that RG position for the next few years.
  4. Me and Traspasso have been arguing about Mason Rudolph all yer on Twitter. He really likes him. I'm not so hot on him. He's going to be an above average starter if surrounded with good talent but I want more. He is an above average QB. I don't want to make him the highest paid player in the NFL and cripple our flexibility. You would think UCLA would put some talent around him. He really didn't have much. Caleb Wilson might turn out to be decent but other than Lamar Jackson no other top QB in this Draft was hurt more than his teammates. You see that with some of his interceptions too trying to force things while trailing all game.
  5. My absolute favorite player in the Draft and I hope we take him with one of our 2nd's if we don't package them up for a move. He's going to go to New England and turn into a superstar.
  6. He got better every year throwing the ball and if we're staying at 21 he's the guy we should target and not Mason Rudolph.
  7. I don't begrudge him for having talent around him but more than any other QB in this class he was helped out by those around him. Put Rosen in that system and there's no doubt he's QB1. My personal rankings are as follows 1. Baker Mayfield 2. Josh Rosen 3. Lamar Jackson 4. Sam Darnold 5. Kyle Lauletta I actually think all 5 turn out to be good QB's at the next level...
  8. I see why people like Rudolph because he has three years experience, great size and production but has anyone watched him play. He's a one read QB and was surrounded by two Top 50 picks and a future 1st Round RB, in an inflated system in a conference that doesn't care about defense.
  9. Josh Rosen's ceiling is Matt Ryan and his floor is Eli Manning/Jameis Winston. He will be a perennial Top 10 QB in this league.
  10. I tend to ignore everything anonymous scouts say to be honest. They're the most curmudgeon people on Earth.
  11. All of his teammates love him. Check Twitter. He's super smart and thoughtful which rubs people the wrong way.
  12. You'd rather make an average QB the highest paid player in league history than draft a rookie QB who will be cheap and is already better than Cousins. This is not how you build a team.
  13. I don't know how that guy said he doesn't have great numbers. He has incredible numbers for a couple years now. He does play in an inflated system and he was surrounded with two NFL WR's and a future 1st RD RB. Rudolph is a marginal talent. He's got great size, three years of starting experience and does some good things but he's a one read guy. He'll never be an elite QB. Do we really want to spend a high pick on that?
  14. Those dudes all have football arrogance. Especially Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning and I don't see where you're getting 'Rosen Brand' stuff from. It seems more narrative than anything else. I trust Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane to make the right decision here.
  15. Depends on if they really want to stick with Eli Manning and if they like Davis Webb enough. Otherwise is there really a huge difference between Barkley and let's say Ronald Jones? They also fill a need with Cordy Glenn, can take another OL at 22 and a few other picks and suddenly they have a very balanced team on both sides of the ball. Last year was an aberration with them. The Gettleman-Beane connection is real and Gettleman got his start in Buffalo. Best case scenario is Browns-Sam Darnold Giants-Saquon Barkley Colts-Bradley Chubb Browns-Connor Williams Broncos move out of 5 as they've signed Kirk Cousins and we get Rosen for considerably less cheaper. Colts and Browns are also potential trade partners at #3 and #4.
  16. Galko reporting that McDermott isn't worried about Rosen's 'character concerns' put a smile on my face. I hope it's true because this kid has it all. Hearing Trent Dilfer talk about him after they butted heads during Elite 11 Camp was great. He's a Type A personality who wants to be the best and it's going to rub people the wrong way but we need brash and arrogant. All the great QB's have it. This also works for Baker Mayfield. They're the two best QB's in the Draft for a reason. Josh Rosen has a great chance to be a better version of Matt Ryan. Who wouldn't be happy with that?
  17. I've heard Buffalo likes Kyle Lauletta-QB Richmond as well. I've been tweeting about him for months so I was super excited to see him do well during Senior Bowl week. I think he's a 2nd Rounder.
  18. TreDavious White - Great Zay Jones - Jury still out Dion Dawkins - Good Shaq Lawson - Disappointing Reggie Ragland - Gone Adolphus Washington - Marginal Ronald Darby - Gone John Miller - Marginal Sammy Watkins - Gone Cyrus Kouandjio - Bust/Gone Preston Brown - Decent/UFA EJ Manuel - BUST Robert Woods - Gone Kiko Alonso - Gone Marquise Goodwin - Gone Stephon Gilmore - Gone Cordy Glenn - Good TJ Graham - BUST/Gone Marcell Dareus - Gone Aaron Williams - RETIRED Kelvin Sheppard - BUST(But we got Jerry Hughes for him) CJ Spiller - Gone Torrell Troup - BUST Alex Carrington - Gone/Not even on a roster Aaron Maybin - BUST Eric Wood - Good/Retired Jairus Byrd - Gone Andy Levitre - Gone Leodis McKelvin - Gone/Not even on a roster James Hardy - BUST Chris Ellis - BUST Even when we've hit on 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks they haven't stuck around. Let's solve our QB situation and get out of NFL purgatory. Jim Kelly's last NFL season was in 1996. It's time to get aggressive.
  19. I hate giving up future 1st's too just makes next year's Draft less exciting but it's the cost for a top QB and too be honest we haven't hit on many 1sts, 2nd and 3rd's recently. Nothing papers over the cracks of your roster like a really good QB and Rosen is a prodigy. Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers are all on their last legs. Getting in young star at QB with a chance to be elite is imperative.
  20. Eric Galko was the first to report of the Trubisky interest last year as well. This guy is plugged in. It's probably going to take 21st, 22nd, 53rd, 2019 1st Rd pick, 2020 3rd Rd Pick and Cordy Glenn and I would absolutely do that deal for Josh Rosen. He's immediately the 2nd best QB in franchise history and we've boxed off the most important position in sports for a decade.
