  1. Way too windy today to attempt that
  2. Also, o line has looked great other than the penalties. Josh has been antsy, but both pass and run blocking look good.
  3. Our offense has moved the ball every drive. They look good other than the penalties. Hopefully the defense can turn it around.
  4. I'm not worried about the offense at all. They've had the ball for like 30 seconds and got unlucky with the penalty on the TD. This defense is going to be a major problem.
  5. Samuel was wide open
  6. That's 100% on Allen. Come on man.
  7. Grable over VD is interesting. I'm excited about him
  8. Insanity. He had all the leverage Good for him.
  9. Hell of an effort by Jess. Sabalenka is just too good. When she is on her game she is very tough to beat. The difference in power is drastic. Unfortunately at 30yo, that likely was her best shot at winning a slam.
  10. Yea I don't take much from Week 1 in general.
  11. The first half of last year Love looked awful. Than the second half he was the best QB in the NFL. Very interested to see how he does this year.
  12. What about moving players closer to the landing zone so the returner will get tackled sooner, on average? I just think the 35 is too much for a touchback.
  13. Numbers don't usually take this long
  14. I'm going to wait to see the numbers. But initial thoughts are I don't like it. I think we have some nice young prospects that could have potentially taken over next year and cost very little. Would have rather we waitied.
  15. If that's what it ends up being then the KO needs to just be eliminated and teams start with it at the 20 or 25. Teams shouldnt be starting with it on the 30 IMO.
  16. I agree with this, seems like more often than not, the returner would get to at least the 25 yard line, which doesn't give the kicking much incentive to put it in play.
  17. Last year thy were missing Starting S Starting MLB Starting OLB Starting CB #2 WR And had Douglas and Dodson playing on one leg/shoulder. And they lost to the Chiefs by 3 points. You think 5-12 is a reasonable prediction?
  18. The NFL changed the kickoff rules to increase the number of returns. 9 out of 11 kickoffs yesterday were touchbacks.... Looks like this might be a bust but obviously this is a small sample size. How would you approach it? Kick deep every time? Mix it up? Once we have more data it will be interesting to see what the average starting position is when the kick is returned.
  19. Rice is going to have a big year. Teams are not going to give Chiefs the big stuff. We saw it yesterday and it left Rice open underneath a bunch.
  20. When it comes to awards, media narratives, player rankings etc, race is absolutely a factor. He did not deserve to be the MVP and he is not close to the second best player in the NFL, as voted on by the players. ESPN doesn't even try to hide their bias.... https://x.com/SaycheeseDGTL/status/1768313698634854585?t=d-mIVpTWRAvy_JHKIt2cWQ&s=19 Lamar is a great QB, but when it comes to things like MVP there is no doubt he benefits from the media trying to hype up the "underappreciated" black QB.
  21. He's overrated, and overhyped, and was gifted an MVP last year. But there aren't that many elite QBs in the league right now. He's still top 5-10. I don't know about Josh having two MVPs but yes, race was obviously a big factor last year. If Lamar was white he likely doesn't finish in the Top 4 for MVP. I don't really think this can be debated.
  22. I didn't mean to cause a stir. And yea I agree, saying she doesn't have much of a chance was too strong. She'll be a pretty big underdog, and will need some help from Sabalenka, who is prone to unforced errors and very capable of beating herself. But Jess absolutely can win.
  23. On camera for sure they would
