When it comes to awards, media narratives, player rankings etc, race is absolutely a factor. He did not deserve to be the MVP and he is not close to the second best player in the NFL, as voted on by the players. He's overrated, and overhyped, and was gifted an MVP last year. But there aren't that many elite QBs in the league right now. He's still top 5-10. I don't know about Josh having two MVPs but yes, race was obviously a big factor last year. If Lamar was white he likely doesn't finish in the Top 4 for MVP. I don't really think this can be debated.

I didn't mean to cause a stir. And yea I agree, saying she doesn't have much of a chance was too strong. She'll be a pretty big underdog, and will need some help from Sabalenka, who is prone to unforced errors and very capable of beating herself. But Jess absolutely can win.

Sabalenka is on fire right now. Pegula likely doesn't have much of a chance, but just making the finals is a huge accomplishment. Hopefully she can pull the upset.

Derrick Henry just runs in a straight line on every run. I really don't see a 30yo RB making a big difference for them. That acquisition was always way over hyped.

With the number of quality safeties available in free agency this year, and the fact that we took one in round two, I'll be honest, I am in shock that we are going into the season with Rapp and Hamlin as our starting duo.

Going to be a beautiful week here but weekend is looking yucky for those of us going.

Starting on a holiday weekend/last weekend before a lot of kids go back to school sounds awful. It's perfect as is IMO. It will be interesting to see what they do when they go to 18 games. Like someone else mentioned Superbowl on presidents Day weekend is perfect and makes sense. But aren't they also talking about an extra bye week?

Tough schedule but I think we can go 5-1 in the division. I'll go with 11. To me the range is 10-13. Assuming we stay relatively healthy, I can't see us winning less than 10 games.
