  1. It’s really DK Metcalf all over again…limited route tree, drops, but if he puts it together, watch out. But is he Kevin White or DK? No one knows at this point. I would bet on Johnston.
  2. Top Quarterbacks still on the board this late and really good corners still on the board is kind of the worst case scenario for Buffalo. We need a heavy run on those positions for talent to drop.
  3. So they have Tunsil at LT and Tytus Howard at RT. Howard has actually developed into a very good player. Then Shaq Mason, 1st round pick last year Kenyon Brown at guard. If I am the Texans and I make this move, I just stick Skoronski at center and he’s the best center in the league for 12 years, pair him up with your rookie QB and you are good to go. Very high for a guy who won’t play LT, but Skoronski is an instant all pro in the interior imo.
  4. While I love Hooker(s) I really don’t buy it. Reminds me of the Malik Willis love last year. Hooker has really great upside, but he’s an older prospect who tore his ACL in late November. He isn’t going in the first. I think he goes in the 3rd
  5. Yeah I think the Titans take Johnson if he is there. I think they pass on OL if he isn’t JMO. I don’t think they will reach on a guard, so it’s probably Johnson or Jones or WR or trade down
  6. Yeah I think it is a toss up, with every year being a little different. With the lack top tier talent in the draft, after the first 15 picks or so we could zero movement with everyone wanting to trade down and no one wanting to trade up. Or we could see the opposite, a ton of movement at discount prices just because people just kind of move around to target specific guys. I don’t think anyone should ever make a crazy move up unless it is for a QB, so I agree I could see a modest move, but I think somewhere around the late teens is the max. Mid teens probably definitely costs that third. When the Chiefs moved from 29 to 21 last year it cost them a 3 and a 4, both very late in those rounds. So that’s probably the start of the conversation, likely going to take more, to get from 27 to like 18.
  7. Misread your post. I agree. And I would probably part with the 3rd if I had to. Would like to hold on to the two.
  8. I disagree. I think they need quality rather than quantity in the situation they are in. The past few years they have had to cut later draft picks who couldn’t make the roster. Also, our picks are late in the round. Our 4th is really almost pretty much a 5th, especially with all the comp picks at the end of the third. And we have two picks within 7 picks of each other in that area. I would gladly give it up if it means I can get an actual first round graded player with upside like a Johnston.
  9. I could see him doing what he did last year, move up to get Johnston then move down in the 2nd and 3rd to recoup some picks. I think you shoot your shot in the first if they can get a guy they really want and figure out the rest later.
  10. Trade got vetoed! So i just picked
  11. With the 9th selection in 2023 Draft, the Chicago Bears select Paris Johnson, Jr., OT, Ohio State. I was debating Wilson, Johnson, Skoronski, and Jones..with Wilson gone it comes down the the three OL. I think Johnson is probably the best OL in the draft. Skoronski is awesome, but Johnson is a true left tackle will tremendous feet and 36 inch arms. He is still very young so there is a lot on the bone there. All reports are that he is a highly intelligent player and a great process guy. Drafting Johnson has a ripple effect on the OL, the biggest weak spot for the Bears. Johnson goes to LT, Braxton Jones moves to right, Teven Jenkins goes to LG and we signed Nate Davis to play RG. That leaves Patrick and Whitehair or a future draft pick to compete at center. @Virgil @Big Blitz and the Eagles are on the clock.
  12. I was convinced that Tyler Bray would be what Josh turned out to be. That was my guy…oops.
  13. They get posted on the thread and then Virgil changes the OP and keeps it updated. @wppete on the clock
  14. I love Skornoski, but agree he is not a left tackle. If he went to play left tackle for a team with a great qb who gets it out quick, his PFF grade would be through the roof…. I think he is an all pro guard…and if he moved to center he would be the best center in the league…even better than Humprey. Gasp…. But he is polished, super smart, great athlete and body, bloodlines, and just 21 years old. He will make it.
  15. I like Foskey. I’m starting to fall hard for Mazi Smith as well, I know he’s a DT. I just really like the DL in this draft and the value might be there at 27
  16. I”m probably in the minority, but if its not MLB, I think they will take an edge guy in round 1.
  17. Good You know after this he will get eaten alive while racing a live cheetah. He will 100% do something really stupid and people will talk about CTE…when in reality he’s just an idiot.
  18. Most of these guys are going to get terrible deals. Its a couple of weeks before the draft and they still are not signed. We have more cap space than the seahawks. And a better chance to win.
  19. Man Boogie could have 20 sacks and people would still be talking about Creed freakin Humphrey.
  20. Frank Clark…grabbing a hired gun from KC to beat them would be pretty cool. He had times when he is unstoppable. Being a part of a rotation like ours is exactly what he needs to lengthen his career, plus he was released so no comp pick impact.
  21. Eagles, Bears, Giants
  22. I’m typically a measuarables and projection guy. Addison seems very meh to me. Good solid player. I do like JSN a lot. But I tend to skew the 6-4 guy who jumps out of the gym. I agree that he could wind up being the best receiver in the class or a massive bust. There isn’t much in between.
  23. He’s definitely got some boom or bust. But at least there is some boom. The other guys just aren’t really all that impressive to me.
  24. I’m all in on Johnston if he is there. Love him. The upside is huge imo. I honestly don’t like the other guys aside from JSN.
  25. Probably. He wasn‘t asked to play in the box much until this year. It kind of reminds me of how PSU used Brandon Smith, a ton of slot nickel and coming off the edge a ton. Simpson has football instincts for sure, but not the eyes in the back of his head instincts of Campbell. It’s kind of the same story with Drew Sanders. But Simpson isn’t the pure pass rusher Sanders is. Simpson is a really good blitzer with a ridiculous motor and tremendous character. All that said, Simpson seems to be the type of player this regime would covet. Campbell is plug and play. Simpson will be very good, high ceiling, and Sanders offers pass rush flex if they wanted to bring in Rapp as the second nickel backer next to Milano.
