  1. Man I crush it on Candyland. I am so good I have to find ways to let my 5 year old beat me.
  2. Just to add, I have been saying that I believe that Jack Campbell has been on a number of visits but they have not been reported and there is a reason why. He is only true MLB in this draft. Now does that mean the Bills are trying to keep it quiet? Who knows. But he is clearly saying he is keeping it quiet and I think it's clear that those teams have directed him to do so. Does that mean it's the Bills? I can't fathom why he wouldn't be someone they wanted. Who knows if they are one of those teams, but it is interesting.
  3. Playing 3D Chess while I'm playing checkers!
  4. Dan Campbell is just lying here to sound rugged and old school. It is a combination of both what they have done on film and athletic upside and measurables. It's a projection and that's why Tommie Frazier was such a dominant college player who could not sniff the league. Also I think it is highly unlikely he is available this late.
  5. Interesting article: https://thedraftnetwork.com/jack-campbell-nfl-draft-2023-interview/ Two excerpts I find interesting... JM: You recently connected with Luke Kuechly to work some position drills. That sounds like an amazing opportunity and partnership. He’s one of the greatest linebackers to ever play the game. What was that like? Jack Campbell: Getting to spend a week with Luke Kuechly was amazing. We first connected at the Butkus Award ceremony. He came down to Irvine, California where I was training. We spent so much good time together. I wanted to dive in on how he breaks down film. I wanted to know what a normal week looked like for Kuechly in the NFL. I also gained a ton of valuable information on what kind of specific position work he was doing. I basically wanted to learn about everything he did that allowed him to go out there and dominate on Sundays. He played the game at the highest level imaginable. Like you said, he’s one of the best middle linebackers of all time. Anything I could learn from him, I was just trying to be a sponge. He taught me about NFL defenses and how those systems are set up. It’s going to be a little bit different from the scheme I played in at Iowa. We dropped and played coverage a little differently than the NFL does. It was such an amazing experience. I broke down so many different things with him. I definitely picked up tips and tricks that I’ll be using in the future. I’m implementing those things into my game. JM: Have you completed any Top 30 visits, private workouts, or Zoom meetings? Jack Campbell: I’ve had several teams reach out to me via Zoom. I’ve had a lot of good opportunities there. I completed a few Top 30 visits as well. Out of respect to them, I’m going to keep that information confidential. I’ve had a lot of fun getting to know all of these coaches. I’m experiencing different things and meeting new people. My childhood dream is coming true.
  6. I definitely think they have similarities in play style and what they were asked to do at Iowa. The difference is the athletic qualities and projection at the next level. It's not even close there. .
  7. My opinion on MLB is essentially this... Either they are truly comfortable with the incumbents present and maybe draft late round competition, or the they are hiding their interest in Jack Campbell and taking him at 27. I think those are the two possible outcomes. If he is their guy, they aren't going to wait to see if he falls to round 2 or whatever.
  8. Smith or Van Ness for me. I went Van Ness just because fit. Both are pretty raw but too good to pass up here imo.
  9. For me it is a mix of both in that I don't love the player and don't think is a fit. To me Torrence is a late second/third round prospect. Overall, I think he is going to struggle in the NFL. He got away with some sloppy technique and kind of like Josh does for our guys, Anthony Richardson made him right a lot of the time. Can he get better? Sure. But the lack of a strong athletic profile makes that less likely. I would much rather have a Steve Avila or Tyler Steen or even a Chandler Zavala later because they have that mauling style with athletic upside. However, I think you make an excellent point about plugging a mauler in the middle of that super athletic offensive line to give it a different flavor and style. A square peg in a round hole can sometimes be a really good thing. My argument is that you can get that later in the draft.
  10. I would just add that Saffold was a high second round pick and a converted left tackle. To me those guys are nothing alike at all. Richie was a mid third round pick. Both of those guys were very high RAS guys. Torrence is closer to a less athletic Cody Ford imo....and that should truly scare everyone. He has some strong traits in the power, but there is a good chance it goes very very wrong for him. At 59 I take a shot. At 27? No way. For a guy who is supposed to have so much power in his game, 23 reps on the bench is pretty alarming. You can get a better player, better athlete, and significantly stronger guy like Tyler Steen way later in the draft. Appreciate it.
  11. PFN's best available would be Myles Murphy, Nolan Smith, Lukas Van Ness as edge guys and Bryan Bresee as a DT. Jeremiah's are Lukas Van Ness, Nolan Smith, Zay Flowers, Myles Murphy, Will McDonald IV. Walterfootball's would be Will McDonald IV, Jack Campbell. Kiper's would be Nolan Smith, Zay Flowers, Emmanuel Forbes, Will McDonald IV, Myles Murphy. CBS Sports would be Lukas Van Ness, Myles Murphy, Nolan Smith, Zay Flowers, Bryan Bresee, Drew Sanders ESPN's best available would be Lukas Van Ness, Nolan Smith, Emmanuel Forbes, Zay Flowers, Myles Murphy, Will McDonald IV
  12. Starting to see him mocked a bit higher, somebody had the Giants drafting Campbell at 25. So maybe he slips in. The lack of reported visits is one of those things should raise eyebrows.. Someone is interested in him, probably taking him in the first, and doing everything they can to hide their interest.
  13. We have some really nice options on the D line.
  14. You are 100% correct. I would not blame him at all. And that’s my point. He’s being “picky” because he isn’t getting interest outside of futures type minimum deals. It’s not because he is worried about fit and school districts and all that stuff. He isn’t getting the offers. If he were, he’d be signed already regardless of a team’s super bowl chances.
  15. To me, Nolan Smith, Bryan Bresee, Myles Murphy and Lukas Van Ness need to be up there.
  16. I do the same, usually invite some old HS teammates who are still close. We sit around, talk trash, and reminisce about whatever we can actually remember from the era of “bite the ball.”
  17. Dude is going to be a beast Addison, Johnson, and Branch gone
  18. Sooooooo as I asked…random terrible team offers him 2 years 12 million, he taking it?
  19. I think it's obvious that they could get Beasley signed to another league minimum deal and if Josh really wanted it that bad, I am sure they would make it happen. but he's at home. You're telling me, if some bottom feeding team like the Bears, Falcons, Colts, Texans, offered him the Darius Slayton 2/12 million contract he would turn it down? That's a slightly below average salary. I highly doubt he would turn that down and highly doubt anyone would offer him that. He would sprint to sign that contract, unless he really wants to retire. Also, I agree that the fact that they have chosen to replace him again doesn't mean he can't play....It means they don't want him...which is my point. And if no one wants him, it means he can't play.
  20. That dislike is meant for @Beast I was just tryin to help!!!!
  21. 27. Bryan Bresee DT Clemson 59. Darnell Washington TE Georgia 91. Matthew Bergeron OT Syracuse 130. Owen Pappoe LB Auburn 137. Jaquelin Roy DT LSU 205. Jadon Haselwood WR Arkansas
  22. Yep no thanks
  23. How do you know he is telling the truth? We can both play that game. "Selective" is what people/agents say when there is no interest. If anybody offered him real money he would have gone. Anyone actually think Tremaine wants to go to the Bears? The point is that, other than practice squad type deals, no one was offering Beasley anything of any significance, otherwise he would have went there. He has a lot to say, but he is still sitting on his couch like us. The league is 48 hours away from being infused with probably like 50-75 guys at the position who are younger with upside. He's toast. If anybody wanted him, he'd be signed by now. If Josh really wanted him, he would be back here.
