  1. He was on IR because of a bad concussion. He was recovered and then had a set back, so I figure it has something to do with that. But if he wants to play and is recovered we should give him a shot.
  2. Two guys I targeted as possible cuts this off season were Shea McClellin and Allen Hurns! Now they are available! I'm so excited and I am getting ready for a let down.
  3. We've talked about this before and some people agree with me, but I really think McDermott shelved the idea of taking a quarterback until he had his own GM and scouts etc in place. Why would he make such a huge decision with Whaley and his scouts when he knew Whaley was gone after the draft? This is the year for the quarterback.
  4. Dorsey owes us one. Maybe there is a wink wink nod nod there. Maybe that's why we got a third for Tyrod?
  5. There it is! That's my guy. Been harping on him for 2 months. He's the perfect #2. He's been inconsistent, but he's good.
  6. Jeremiah is an idiot. What a loser. He knows nothing. He forgot to put Mason Rudolph on there!!! Riot and rabble rabble rabble. Can't he see the noodle arm and the tiny hands makes him exactly like Tom Brady! Anyway this an interesting list. I am very surprised with Darnold at the top honestly, as well as the placement of Mayfield. This only fuels my passion to go and get Rosen!
  7. This is great analysis man. But you are comparing these guys to Preston Brown, which again makes sense. On paper, Minter and Brown are very similar, 2 down thumper linebackers. On paper Preston is very different from Compton. I don't understand what is wrong with comparing. Good work.
  8. As long as they are getting Rosen or Darnold in this draft, I don't care what they do.
  9. This is true. It's only a problem if depth winds up starting at WILL and losing Ben Koyack on the goaline in the playoffs!
  10. Fine for a vet minimum deal. I get the impression that they don't love Matt Milano, which makes me question their sanity. Again, I trust the process, but Humber playing when Milano was clearly better, giving carres to Mike Tolbert, and rolling with Jordan Mills and Ducasse just seem like such poor decisions. I really was okay with every decision they made last year even the trades and the Tyrod benching. But playing those guys seems nuts. If Humber is back as a special teams only player fine, but if he sees significant time on defense, there is a problem.
  11. 100%. And Cam was getting utterly destroyed in the pocket. Again my biggest concern with McBeane is how they are going to build the offensive line and what they do at quarterback. I like what they have done on defense, but our offense doesn't look so good on paper. I hope Daboll makes a huge difference.
  12. It's not expensive at all. If we can move to 2 without giving up next year's first, it's a huge win guys.
  13. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/19/report-patriots-release-shea-mcclellin/ I've been thinking McClellin would be released by the Pats for some time now. If anyone reads my posts, I have mentioned him numerous times. Now I preface this with saying the dude is coming of a missed season that he spent on IR. He sustained a pretty serious concussion in the preseason and never seemed to recover fully. He may have tried to come back and suffered a setback. So obviously, if he isn't healthy he should retire. If he's okay and cleared to go, he is the perfect fit for what we do. McClellin is a former, over drafted first round pick who kind of blew up the combine. He projected as 3-4 OLB and he was drafted as a hand in the ground defensive end. Chicago jerked him around, moving him from DE to SAM to MIKE then to ILB in a 3-4. He never really got a chance to settle in. I wanted us to sign him when he was a free agent a few years ago, but the Pats signed him. Anyway, he has McDermott and process written all over him. He is extremely versatile and he was used that way with the Pats. He could line up at any linebacker position and could rush the passer on third downs. I think he'd be a great fit at the MIKE for us. He is a leader and a Super Bowl Champ. 6-3, 250, and runs a 4.6 forty. At only 28 years old, if healthy, the former Boise State Bronco makes sense (especially as a placeholder for another Bronco in LVE). I hope he is healthy and I hope we bring him in for a look-see. I like Compton and I'm okay with Minter for depth, McClellin is significantly better than both of these guys and has some intimate knowledge of the Pats.
  14. I think it's only natural to compare potential new guys to the guy they are replacing no? This seems normal to me.
  15. I think we are fine yes. They are all going to be quite cheap imo
  16. I think that is just the way things are with free agency now. I don't think any of those guys who signed early took visits. I do like that Beane said they watched every single one of his throws. They did their homework on the type of player he is, and set a value. I love this approach. Also, they mostly likely met him in combine interviews years ago. It isn't perfect, but I think that's the way of free agency now.
  17. Dude's numbers were ridiculous! Shows you how much numbers mean.
  18. Toomer is a good player as well. A little older than these guy, but a good fit as well. Believe he is visiting teh Colts
  19. Goodwin would have gotten eaten up by Ramsey and Bouye and Watkins probably would have twisted his ankle. We lost that game because Preston Brown sucks, we got no interior pressure, and Tyrod missed a ton of open guys. Luckily, our front office has decided to make changes in all three of those areas.
  20. Ah good point. Could be a job share situation. Minter is a two down backer, that's for sure. And peanut butter is so much better than Preston Brown. You should not associate them with each other.
  21. He is the same as Preston Brown. Slllllllooooowwww. I'd rather have Compton.
  22. Update: It's 5 in and 3 out. Still need Gaines, Thompson, Mathews, Leon Johnson to sign elsewhere to have a pick. Assuming we sign Compton or another linebacker, that would make it 6 in and 7 out. Still need O-Line upgrades and a reciever. 23. Colt Brennan man! That's the guy right there. Actually more talented than Rudolph honestly. Chris Trapasso articles hold no weight in this argument. He clearly shares an agent with Rudolph or maybe he's his godfather or something. His articles are completely subjective (great for a journalist btw) because his love for Rudolph has made him blind to reality.
  24. I actually really like the AJ signing...I don't like the reports that their first target was McCown. He impresses me enough that I wouldn't totally have a cow if they don't get a quarterback this year. If it isn't Darnold, Allen, or Rosen, I don't see an upgrade, so I would rather see what a guy like McCarron has. But how a GM handles quarterback really defines their tenure. Doug Whaley did some good things, but EJ Manuel sealed his fate. This is teh biggest decision for McBeane and if they aren't 1 million percent on a guy this year, they shouldn't bother.
