Should absentee ballots be illegal?
Motorin' replied to Warren Zevon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I never said it never happens. I asked for examples. That's you putting words into my mouth to make your case. There are, and should be processes put in place for deceased people to A. Have their state issued ID canceled and B. Removed from the voter register. You've provided no evidence of any concerted effort to fraudulently register dead people to vote. At best you've given examples of deceased people who fell through the cracks and were not removed from the voter roles. At the same time, I don't get the sense that a thorough vetting of these findings have taken place to ensure they are not examples of false positives. More than one person can have the same name after all, and in a state of 40 million people it would not surprise me if 100-200 people have the same name as a dead person. Your assertion the the democratic party has orchestrated anything is as yet 100% unfounded by a single shred of evidence beyond your imaginative conjecture. If evidence of voter fraud by state or party officials does exist, they should absolutely be prosecuted with the maximum force of law. You supply none. -
Should absentee ballots be illegal?

So the examination of LA county's public voter register and the cross reference with the public death records is the same thing as having no cameras red lights? False example. It would be a good point if the records weren't PUBLIC. -

Lots of imagination is certainly required. “When you look at the numbers we’re talking about in LA County -- 215 voters out of 4.7 million registered voters in LA -- you’re talking about an error rate that’s .0000453 percent.” What's to stop the the evil Dems from registering all of those non-voters and stuffing the ballots already? How would they go about extracting the ballots from people's mailboxes? Totally false narrative. -

I'd love to see proven examples of dead people voting. please? With the vote by mail requirement, in order to vote for a dead person you'd have to have their driver's licenser, register them to vote at the address on the license, go online, request a ballot, input the correct social security number and driver license #, have the ballot sent to the previous address and then steal it from the mailbox. If local officials are so corrupt, they can just have the board of elections stuff the ballots themselves. Way easier than the steps that would be required to perform large scale vote by mail fraud. -

Except that in cities that already use vote by mail, they are pre-validated. The voter has to request the ballot online, input the correct social security number, address and state id #. The name, social, state id # and address have to match the same info on the voter registration. It's probably more secure than voting in person in many places. -
With so many Primetime games, is Sunday Ticket worth it?
Motorin' replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be nice if they allowed single games to be purchased. -
German Bundesliga (soccer) starting up this weekend
Motorin' replied to Motorin''s topic in Off the Wall Archives
I think the Premiere League will play after June 1. Teams need the TV revenue, which is also the main motivation for the German League to start up... Only posted this here bc the NFL should be watching to see how it goes. -

This is a big deal for sports around the globe. They have lots of protocols in place. No fans will be in attendance and if fans congregate in front of the stadium it will result in an automatic home team loss. Maybe you hate soccer, maybe you love it. Regardless, game on. https://worldsoccertalk.com/bundesliga-tv-schedule/ The overall results may effect how other major league sports around the world plan their return. Fingers crossed. -

This probably isn't Ahmaud Arbery. Arbery's skin is significantly darker. And this gets to the point, the McMichael's assumed it was him on the past tapes when they could not have known it was him. And they assumed felonious intent on his part on the day of the shooting. In most of the lynchings that happened to black people in American history, the people conducting the lynching believed the person had committed a crime. They formed a posse and believed they had the right to carry out an execution. The McMichael's had called the police. Yet they felt like they had the right to form a posse and pursue with guns, to detain him at gun point and to shoot him when he fought their arrest. I guess we shall see what Georgia law says about modern day armed posses, and if the federal government steps in. -

So he had 2.4% more drops while completing 6% more of his passes. Sounds like more passes were on target to be dropped in the first place. -
What have the Democrats done in the past Four years
Motorin' replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
For many people who actually suffer from the disease of addiction, the idea that it is curable can be deadly. Way too many examples to count of people who went years and years sober, thought they were "cured" which meant they could have just one beer. Relapse can and does lead to death... It's better for sober addicts to fear the disease and know they are never "cured." -

The effects of drugs are biological and psychological, thus the effects are not inanimate. Addiction is also a disease, which explains why some people just can't overcome their cravings. Blaming addicts for the actions of drug dealers who capitalize on their illness is off base, in my opinion. -

There'd be no drug dealers if drugs didn't have addictive properties. -
The 8 Levels of Control Revisited--Are We There Yet?
Motorin' replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Interesting, so the alleged scheme to world domination isn't found anywhere in the book that the newspaper clipping cites. But it is in a different book! I'll order it on Amazon today. What was the title? Here's an interesting quote that Alinsky did write, : “So as far as the Communists went, there were several special things that kept me out. Partly it was philosophic…I hate dogma. People who believed they owned the truth have been responsible for the most terrible things that have happened in our world, whether they were Communist purges or the Spanish Inquisition or the Salem witch hunts.” -

You don't see the initial face to face confrontation in the video. That part is cut off as the second car pulls over. From all of the available information, the white truck drove past him and then blocked the right lane of the road while the second car drove up from behind. The men in the pickup truck tried to "arrest" him with guns drawn on him. One man in front of the truck with a shotgun, another in the bed of the truck with a handgun. The lawyer who leaked the video thought that the video would exonerate their friends, because in his mind if Aubery had just surrendered to the arrest he wouldn't have been shot. Except in no world that we live in can citizen chase down unarmed persons in the middle of the road, block them in with their cars, draw guns on them and arrest them. That's called vigilante justice. You're discounting that the second car that was filming also had an armed man in it. One car drove past him and blocked the road in front (which you don't see in the video), and one drove up from behind to block the road behind him... I don't think these guy's thought process was "let's go kill us a black man." I think they legitimately thought he was a criminal, and they believed they had the right to take guns, track him down and bring him to justice. Had they actually been uniformed officers, legally they would have had the right to do exactly what they did. -
Just watched Replay of Bills/Pats Week16

Well, on further review. 4th and Goal to beat the Pats and win the AFC East. Dawkins was the worst on that play. I mean epically bad. He had rushers on his left and right and he fell down on his face. Both of them became free rushers with a clear line to Allen. Had it been just Ford's guy he was pushed far enough to the outside that Josh could have just stepped up. But no, Dawk fall down. Also, Knox is one on one with McCourty and that's kind of open. -

Maturity. And with maturity comes learning how to harness stress and focus your decision making. I'm all in on taking the route of patience with Allen, to give him the time to develop the mental aspects of his game. I'm not in the camp of "you either have it or you don't." He shows signs of improvement, and I believe he will continue to improve. -

Abery might have trespassed that day. He might have stolen something from a garage, through it doesn't appear as though anything was reported stolen. That's not an excuse for three armed people to pursue and accost a person with guns drawn. People are outraged because had the video tape not existed, there's no reason to believe there would have been any arrests. Trey Gowdy gets it: -
