It means that alex smith and the chiefs looked like hall of Famers thru 5 games last year too. It means philly looks unbeatable early when he was there too. It means that teams adjust and his teams always decline toward middle and late in season. It means mahomes will suffer the same fate as alex smith McCabe and vick... a late season fade.

I started a prediction thread that this would happen and got laughed out of the place. If we win this weekend I think it's still very possible. 1. We have the cap space and maybe have found our QB 2. We are spending nothing on WR after this year so will draft one high. 3. D is young and solid. 4. Mccoy is old. Him and a pick for bell is better than most will offer. Instant contender next year.

Not sure why this was merged. This is more than a mentor. This is a coach oline ans weapons discussion too. More than just getting him a mentor. That's one of several issues. Doesnt mean he shouldn't try and make some moves to help. Hes standing idle.

Was making a post in the Matt Moore thread and realized I havent seen a post on this topic yet. The most annoying thing about this Bills leadership team (who a support btw) is how poor a job they have done setting up Allen for success. 1. Their QB coach is a career WR coach. 2. Their backup might be the worst QB to start a game in the history of the NFL. 3. This WR group may be one of the worst in the league...not this year but in the last 10 years. No number 1...a number 2 that should be a 3...and then scrubs. 4. A terrible oline. The fact that they aren't trying to improve the situation at all for him is awful. While I dont believe it's the answer you have guys like Dez and Maclin out there...you cut kerley who has proven to be dependable in this league...and you have done nothing to improve the oline or the backup situation. Who helps josh with film. Talks to him on sidelines. Daboll is in the !@#$ing booth and Nate is clearly terrible. This is why this team wont turn around as fast as they should. The development of their franchise qb will be slowed or stunted by all this ****.

Ya. Super QB coach. This is his first career stint as one. So we have Nate peterman and a wr coach playing a qb coach to help our franchise qb along. Super. What's their resume as a qb coach? Who have they developed? Pretty sure brady was well on his way before daboll ans cully is a WR coach.

Here's the real question. Would you pay sammy 14M? No? Then who cares that's what hes making. Woods at 6M is a steal.

He needs a mentor. Moore seems like a bright dude. I'd say him. Peterman shouldn't mentor anyone. Do you really want Allen being taught but nate?

So I think we give good old McDermott a lot of grief around his ability to adjust...and granted his in game adjustments havent been great in his buffalo tenure. However taking over the playcalling and the Defense rising to it shows hes evolving. On the other hand...I think his ability to adjust from game to game is something that goes unnoticed. Last year we had a stretch of historically bad games with the jets chargers and saints. We then went on to allow 16 or fewer points in 4 of the last 6 games. The other 2 games being against the Pat's. This year we were getting torched on the ground in the preseason. He adjusted things and since the browns game we have been much better and more disciplined against the run. However that could be because its soooo damn easy to pass on us that there is no point rushing. Ha. My guess is that we dial up a ton of pressure next week and cousins coughs it up a few times. Peace.

That's an interesting stat from yesterday. Tells me hes doing a decent job of going through his progressions. Not locking in on one guy hoping he becomes open. When is the last time 11 different players had a catch in a Bill's game.

I'm sorry but that's just freaking wrong. Hes barely worthy of an NFL roster spot outside of decent special teams and yet he is on the field and getting targets on the Bill's. 1. Rivers wasnt even looking his way all day. I think Flacco tried once last week and he almost picked it. We need someone decent on the opposite side.
