Russ' interview on WGR this week was embarrassing. His reason for keeping the coaching staff was continuity and used the Atlanta Braves as an example of how continuity is good. What an insult to anyone who watches sports.
The Braves dominated their division for a decade+ and even won a World Series...don't compare Bobby Cox to Chan Gailey.
Not that I would know for sure because I've never played or coached football, but I've always heard people say WR is the toughest position for a rookie to play.
Despite what happened today I'm still pretty excited about Gilmore. I'm less optimistic on Williams but I'll give him this season before saying it was a wasted 2nd rounder.
My own personal thought is that the higher the better for seats at football games. I like seeing the plays develop from the 300's. I've sat row 2 in the endzone and didn't like it.
Yet you were still there after the second time, and they get the last laugh.
Watching the breakdown in ratings- there's a reason all they cover is tebow. The spikes for segments that mention him is crazy. Skip bayless, for all his idiocy, outsmarted everyone on this one. He doesn't care about tebow but it vaulted his ratings, which absolutely collapsed when they couldn't talk about him daily this offseason
Actually, I PVR'd the 3 hours and scrolled thru to see if they talked about the Bills.
I watched NFL Network's Training Camp show-a 3 hour show allegedly covering all 32 teams (so says the on screen guide). They really only covered about 15 teams and showed Tebow running in the rain shirtless at least 3 times.
I'm going to the Sabres game on Sat and was wondering if anyone knew any good golf stores in the area. I know about Dick's Sporting Goods, but are there any hidden gems? I'm looking for a new driver, I'm not married to any particular brand, but hoping to find a good deal...sometimes you can get good deals at the smaller stores. Thanks!
At this point, I don't care what he costs. Get it done Buddy!
Also, what do you guy think about the Bills being so public about Williams being in town. Is it "we know we're getting him, here's a sneak peak" or "See, we're trying!"...
I like Stevie a lot. Think he's a good player and seems to be a pretty good guy. I enjoyed the "Why So Serious" t-shirt last year, I even laughed at the Burress celebration this year...BUT, if Gailey did tell the team he'd bench someone if they did anything ridiculous to cost the team, then Stevie is 100% to blame, not Gailey.
I agree the NFL's rules to excessive celebration are dumb, but Stevie needs listen to his coach.
John Murphy said on the Sunday Night Blitz on Ch. 4 that he thinks the Bills will let Stevie hit the free agent market in March and doesn't believe they will give him big money.
I've always hated this idea. But this year I'm actually going to the game and it's only because they are playing well. If they were 2-4, I wouldn't go. I also live a 15 min walk from the stadium, so that makes it easy. My great hope is that because they are playing well more Bills fans (rather than general NFL fans) will be there. If I can cave, anyone can cave.
One of the reasons Fantuz won't make it in the NFL is because WR's start from a standing position. In the CFL, as well as Canadian college, you get the running head start. He's not quick enough to beat NFL corners from a standing start.
