I find it hard to believe that no coaches have talked to these players on how to tackle. It's a fundamental part of football and these guys have been doing it since peewee. Players have to take the brunt of the responsibility on errors like this.

Spencer Brown Contract - Per Spotrac
ColoradoBills replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the fair contract from the Bills point of view that I believe Spencer and his agent understand. Lots of comments from fans saying he only had 1 good healthy season. Spencer betting on himself and OBD protecting their interests. I think it's a fair contract for both sides. -
Special Teams had another hiccup with the KO return Sunday. It seems to me this does happen to the Bills more often than it should. I get the feeling that at times the ST try to get a little cute in their play calling and it does bite them in the a$$ too often. I'd like them just to play the safer odds and avoid the negative plays.

Spencer Brown Contract - Per Spotrac
ColoradoBills replied to kitchen sink's topic in The Stadium Wall
At first, I was thinking he would sign for around $17M per and then I saw there was 3 other players all within $500K in the $17M's. They bumped it up a little more to get him into the top 10. In 2 years, my hope is Spencer keeps improving and the contract will look very good. -
Currently at $5M. It will depend on what they do with Von Miller. If he is cut early, it's another $15M if after June 1st it's another $6M.

If Ty Johnson can't go Gore will get called up. Really hope the Solomon can dress. If not, they have to use a 2nd call-up for a DE. -
Game management strategy & “The big miss”
ColoradoBills replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the first real week of this new rule. In most cases with good weather and in domes it will be TBs. Bad weather will have some choices and techniques maybe not even known yet. Going to take some time for STCs and kickers to adapt. -
Was just going to say that. It's pay as you go. IF Spencer continues to improve it's a good contract for both sides. If he doesn't, they can get out without too much pain. The contract really makes Spencer work for his money. It's a couple million more than he's worth right now but if he improves a lot this season it saves the Bills $s in the future. The next RT that resets the market will be at $29M. Sewel is already at $28M.

Not minimizing any other posters perceptions of the game, I will just say I am a bit impressed with Brady game planning a running heavy game against a very bad run defense team and sticking with it. In the end it was successful. It's something I feel Dorsey did not do at all. How he gameplans against Miami is going to be very interesting. If it's not successful it will be also interesting to see how he adjusts.

Is Josh being asked to do more than ever this year?
ColoradoBills replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
With the D having the possibility of giving up more points per drive, it is all the more important to keep the drives down to a minimum. So, this hatred of "complimentary" football might be a little contradictory. I would love nothing more than seeing what we presume Brady's offense to be succeed. It's the best of all worlds. I am more than willing to see the Bills capitalize on 7-minute TD drives. Miami game will tell A LOT. It's only been 1 game. Let's see some more games as to what is happening and what is done in response. -

JFC. When Josh Allen calls his number, he is going to go all out. He has been this way since Day 1. Stop with nonsense. What do you want McDermott to do, bench him? LOL. -

A Few Thoughts about the Cardinals Game, in no particular order
ColoradoBills replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
You know that last bit of data makes me think there is a change of thought at OBD. There is some mounting evidence that this is indeed a new era for the team. Seems to be a change in a lot of the old "Beane and McDermott" methods. Running more. Pass distributions. Coleman (a rookie) with a lion share of reps and targets. Lots of younger players instead of old "used up" vets. Even things such as only 2 captains, seem there is a concerted effort to try something different. The only thing I still don't like is the special teams. I'll say it again, they need to keep things simple. Don't try to win on special teams, just make sure you don't lose because of them. -
Super Bowl Halftime Acts That Will Never Be .
ColoradoBills replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
Big name orchestra playing snippets of all the NFL music over the decades. Network theme music, NFL Films music, "Alcoa fantastic finishes and you make the call" starting music. All this while the big screen shows plays and scenes accordingly. Maybe have female and male dancers dressed in all the NFL uniform colors. Celebrate football at its biggest show. -
Week 2 - Bills at Dolphins - Game Week Thread
ColoradoBills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
True, but I did live down there for 4 years. It's looking like this week has a good chance of afternoon showers (monsoon season). That cools thing down. That's my hope. -
Josh is going to be Josh. That's part of his DNA that us fans have to live with. That being said, he has to tough it out Thursday, get the win, and then have a cool 11 days before the Titans at home Monday night.

Week 2 - Bills at Dolphins - Game Week Thread
ColoradoBills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Currently the weather is showing rain in the afternoon all the way until game time. Clouds with rain should cool the stadium down vs having it blazing sun all afternoon. Game time temperature of 84 degrees. Hot and muggy no doubt but the players should be okay.
