Yep. That was back in the infancy days of the "process". Man oh man, there was a lot of posters who hated McDermott and Beane back then. If we all had a dollar for every time we read a post with "choir boys" in it!

Ballard and Reich both. After/during Luck they had Brissett (2 years), old man Rivers (1 year), washed up Wentz (1 year) and now Ryan (2 years left with $35M dead if cut next year). If Ryan isn't the answer, which to me is at least winning the division and/or a WC game, I would think their seats get a little warm.

You point is well taken. The Bills want a strong ST squad but there is a limit on how many players a team can keep who only have impact on STs. These "ST only players" also put a strain on who dresses on game day. To justify their spot, they have to dress every week. I know a lot of fans believe they are all locks but I'm willing to bet when the last 5 players are kept or cut, a lot of factors go into it. Put another way, no one can convince me that ST core players like Gilliam, Neal and Johnson (all who have worth at their base position) are not desired more by Beane and McDermott above guys who only dress for Special Teams.

Which is what I (and others) think, no team will sign him until he can pass a physical. When that time comes the Bills can see IF he could be a fit. It seems to me all the talk is meaningless until he proves he's healthy.
