Tom has to face the Ravens, Rams and Seahawks in the next 3 weeks. Some tough DLs to face and he may take a lot of sacks. If Tampa loses 2 or 3 of these games does anyone see Brady wanting to play? This next month is going to be interesting. The only thing he has going for him is playing in the NFCS, the worse division is the NFL. He can't "retire" again. So, what does he do? Thinking about it, I believe he will suffer an "injury".

I was wondering if they are from the Buffalo area. I was thinking if so, they could have been in Oschie Children's Hospital. If anyone has details, I would appreciate posting them.

I wanted some sort of a ColoradoBillsFan name. After multiple tries that were taken, I accidently submitted ColoradoBills after deleting the trailing "fan" and it took. It looked a little weird, but I said, "screw it" and left it. My current Avatar is the JFK Bears Logo from my High School in beautiful Cheektowaga (yes, I'm of Polish heritage).

I very nice gesture for a well deserving young girl!

I did too but thought it was wiser just to wait until it was corrected instead of arguing about it. As to the 49ers and the CMC move. I guess they are "all in" trying to get deep into the playoffs this season. I'm not sure how 2023 and on will pan out. I see some hard times for them going forward unless Lance really improves.

FWIW, Spotrac has repaired its database for the 49ers and ALL players are accounted for. They have $4M in rollover from this year not $50M. As of now they have $5.8M in cap space in 2023. I'm in Spotrac a lot and I knew they were still in "update" mode when you guys checked yesterday. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/cap/2023/

When is OBJ going to be ready to take snaps in a game?

Todd Gurley says he’s done after 6 years in the NFL
ColoradoBills replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gurley took over 1,000 rushes his first 4 years in the league. To compare, Motor has taken just over 500 so far. These players are unique to themselves. -
No one knows as far as I heard. His first step is getting cleared by his Dr.'s to practice and then have teams give him a physical. I have not heard when that may happen. He had surgery on Feb 22. His first ACL surgery took him 11 months to recover. Adam Schefter said in September that he "wouldn't see the field" until Thanksgiving. That is 9 months after his surgery. NFL players returning from ACLs is generally 9-12 months. Like I said upthread. Until he works out in Buffalo and has a physical all this is nothing but "click bait" to me. If KC (or another team) want to sign him before that happens then go right ahead. The Bills shouldn't take that chance. Your point about other players is well taken. I personally would be interested in him when he is healthy. Then a process can start as to whether or not to sign him. Not before. IMO

I got nothing against OBJ being a playoff rental. There are conditions I think most of us would want to see met. 1. Cleared by Dr's, passes physical. 2. Work out is commensurate with where he should be physically. 3. His money isn't stupid. 4. Knows what his role will be. This is the most important. He is not going to replace Diggs and Davis. He has to "outplay" the other WRs, and he has to fill the role the Bills need him to play, not the other way around. If Shakir is the #3 guy he has to live with it. 5. All this has to happen inside a reasonable timeframe that will allow him to have a chance to bring his game up to speed in time. The clock will start ticking soon. It's up to him to get healthy in time to be a benefit to the Bills. If KC wants to roll the dice earlier than it wise, that's up to them.

Just to clarify I didn't mean they ignored the run game. So then, it's the talent of the players and/or coaching scheme that is the problem. Without a change in personnel, what can be done this year to improve the run game?

I've noticed a lot of Josh's RPOs that end up being a handoff, both he and the RB are pretty stationary. I speculate that this is caused by Josh wanting to pull the ball back and throw or run himself. I do agree with the timing aspect being important. It seems to me a good number of Bills running plays just don't look crisp. I have speculated that not enough effort (as of now) has been put into the running game. I also wonder how effective practice time has been for the offense when the Bills' run D is so good. My hope is the run game will improve as the new OC settles in with his passing game and can give more attention with his new OL coach to the running game. Do you see any merit in my thought or do you think I'm just dreaming?

Yes, and they shouldn't have during the opening stretch. Cook has had 19 rushes for a 5.1 Y/A. 4 catches on 7 targets for 9.3 Y/R. Yes, he dropped a couple and had a fumble on his first carry. In the "old days" that's 1 game's usage. He is going to get a lot more chances in the coming weeks like I said above. The Bills had to get through these tougher games with wins and they did. Moss has had 17 rushes. With a new OC and a new OL coach, we haven't seen what the run game can do yet. Do fans seriously think these guys have been working on 1st and goal from the 5 running plays? They have been working on the passing game to win these early games.

Motor and Cook are the guys. Moss is the mystery. I get the feeling that during the stretch of "not so powerful" teams, that Moss will get another look. Not only for this season but the staff needs to know if he will play any significant role for next season. I'm not saying he will be RB1 but he will get more snaps along with Cook. This makes sense and keeps Motor fresh for later in the season. If Moss struggles with his chances during these games, I can see a call-up or 2 from Duke Johnson to see how he fits in. In my mind it's the best way to evaluate the teams RB needs this season and next. I hear all the talk about the playoffs and the RB situation, but I would like to say that is a lot of games away. There is time for the OL to work on its run blocking, Cook to get a bigger role and Moss and or Duke to get a chance to see who is RB3. I'm a little confused as to the crisis some are seeing.

I agree with you. SF will have some money to absorb a CMC redo of his contract. I just don't see how even with an overhauled contract how the Bills who are close to -$8M over cap already, add CMC's $'s and sign or replace 24 free agents next year. Especially when they would have been left with a 1, 5, 5, 6, 7 at best. It would be a huge change in the roster and there is no guarantee CMC clinches a SB title.

Wait a minute. Are there posters who are seriously believing Tom Brady's decent on the football field is because of his wife. LOL, that's the reason you're buying into. It seems to me he is doing exactly what he wants to do (which is what he has always done). If he is failing, it's because HE is failing.
