Bernard, Torrence and Benford all officially starters
ColoradoBills replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to say this when it comes to the MLB. Bills had to plan on Edmunds most likely leaving. So what happened. Drafted what is considered undersized LBs. Had open competition with the lighter guys. They let a heavy LB go in Klien. They acquired Kirksey who is typical in size for MLB. My speculation (and that's all any of us are doing right now) is that Beane and McDermott made a conscious decision to go lighter. The summer left Spector on IR, Bernard banged up and Dotson looking ill-suited for the job, Kirksey on the PS has to be insurance and a perceived upgrade from Klien. Bernard gets the call because the whole summer the scheme is to be lighter at MLB. We don't know what changes the D has in store for us this season, but McDermott is evidently sticking with his plan. If it fails, we most likely see Kirksey soon. -
He is talking about how much they would have if Beane made every move possible today. It's not going to happen. Beane will make another small move when he needs more money during the season.

Looks like after all the dust settled Beane has $527k left per Spotrac. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/

We could always argue whose dad can beat up who. Joe Burrow can't tell me what to do, he's not my real dad!

Nick Bosa signs - 5 years, $170 Million
ColoradoBills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember when Rich Stadium opened my dad (worked at Westinghouse as a lathe operator) would work overtime on a Saturday to make more than enough money for him and me to go to 2 games including parking. We brought food and drinks (you could do that back then). I wonder how many hours the "average" worker has to work to do that today for the average NFL ticket/parking/food cost? -
Thanks for staying on topic Augie. LOL. Mike Brown and Davis are by far the poorest (less than $1B) owners in the league. In the Bengals situation it would be hard for a rich owner to have his GM sign all these guys just because of future cap concerns. With poorer owners (others have called Brown as a cash-to-cap owner) and that's pretty accurate, it's got to be way tougher. You're totally right about the escrow accounts. Owners have to move $100Ms of dollars into escrow when these guys sign contract. I'm sure the owners make money on the account, but it ties up a lot of owner cash. With all the big-name Bengal player to be signed, I find it hard to believe Brown will be able to do it. No knock on him, it's just the way it is. It's something people will be watching come spring.

YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question
ColoradoBills replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know. I show all the Sunday games. Like others said, This Sunday we'll all know what the heck is going on. -
Yep. I listed him because next season would likely be the time to do that. I don't think they want to have him wait on the 5th year to extend. Then again, it's the Bengals and Mike Brown has a history.

Spotrac had his Market Value at $54M per year which would make him highest paid in the league. Hebert $52.5M They also have the following for next year's Bengal UFAs. Higgins - $22.7M Reader - $16M Boyd - $15.2M Williams - 14.9M Smith - $10.3M Chase currently at $24.9M Somethings got to give.

YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question
ColoradoBills replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm under the impression that the subscriptions just show what you bought. The games should be in the TV and Movies section and you click on NFL Channel to view games. I just got the Sunday Ticket and haven't watched games on it yet. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. -
YouTube TV - NFL Sunday Ticket question
ColoradoBills replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
One thing I find weird is in the "Subscriptions" I see the NFL Ticket as purchased but only on my laptop and phone. On YouTube from my Roku TV, it just shows purchased in the Primetime Channel and not Subscriptions. I'm not worried about it, but it's strange. From what I see about YouTube, the TV apps work different from phone and laptops. -

You can check in YouTube if the "purchase" is confirmed. Go to YouTube (be sure you are signed in). Click on Movies and TV in the left banner. Click down to Primetime Channels. The NFL logo should say purchased under it. -
P*triots place projected starting RT Riley Reiff on IR
ColoradoBills replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
My brother said he tried that stuff and grew a 3rd testicle. But he is prone to exaggerate. -
That is true. Chiefs have about $13M next year (so far) in restructures and the Bills have about $18M. Now the Bengals currently have less than $1M in restructures BUT with Burrows going form $11M to $29M and their UFAs of Boyd, Higgins, Reader, Jonah Willaims and Irv Smith amongst others, their time is rapidly approaching. There are plenty of NFL "insiders" wondering how the Bengals owner and GM will be handling this. They are not known for spending money. I for one am curious too.

That day too. After the dozen responses (even after I edited my post) I have now officially become a Detroit Lions fan for winning the NFC. Bills/Lions SB here we come!

LOL. Retirement can get your days mixed up.

Thank you. I guess we know who you are rooting for.
