  1. that seems like exactly what Beane has done over the past two years and I expect more of the same this year.
  2. Denver could go a lot of directions. WR, CB, Safety would all be in play and especially O-Line if any of the top-4 tackles make it that far.
  3. But staying the course for them would be trading up. Allen- Traded up for Edmunds- Traded up for Ford- Traded up for Knox- traded up for they have 9 draft picks. Beane has stated he doesn’t believe they have 9 spots on the roster available for draft picks. The patriots were always able to stockpile picks because they got so many comp picks when they let impending free agents leave. They traded down as well. But don’t also think that their success wasn’t mostly due to 20yrs of the greatest coach/QB in NFL history
  4. My bet is Bridgewater. I think Belichick will want a vet even if they draft someone
  5. Agreed it depends on how it all falls. But I believe that if one of Ruggs/Chaisson is there at 16 you make the move. Dallas could go for either. Same goes with Miami, Oakland, Jacksonville and Philadelphia. All could go Edge and/or WR.
  6. Those are my two. Could see us moving up to 16 or so in order to get one. Ruggs in particular just puts this offense in a different category than it was last season. A true home run threat.
  7. Looking in a basic way, Atlanta is hard up against the cap and doesn’t have a ton of leeway. Cutting guys like Freeman, Allen Bailey, Ty Sambrailo and a couple others only gets them to about $21M in cap space. They currently have an extra 2nd round pick and dealt away their 6th round pick. But with only $20M or so to play with, and a roster in need of improvements, I’d expect them to be looking to move down and add depth pieces throughout the roster. Buffalo will want to add an edge, receiver, Corner, or offensive lineman in round 1. I believe the need and preference will be geared towards receiver or edge. Looking at the first round, in the top 15 picks I expect the following to be chosen. For sure: 3 QB’s (Burrow, Tua & Herbert) 2 WR’s (Lamb & Jeudy) 3 OT’s (3 of Wirfs, Wills, Becton, Thomas) 1 Edge (Young) 1 DT Brown 1 LB Simmons 1 Corner (Okudah) That’s 12 players. We also have another group of possibilities that will come after that including: 1 WR (Ruggs III) 1 OT (Whichever of the 3 is not taken top 12) 2 Edge (Chaisson Epenesa) 2 Corners (Fulton & Henderson) So overall there’s a drop of talent around 16-18. I believe Beane will want to get there because (1) he has extra capital, (2) there’s players at need positions there, (3) he knows he needs to add key fixtures to edge and receiver and that they are value positions that should be drafted highly, and (4) he’s shown a history for trading up. Lastly, the cost shouldn’t be significant. Pittsburgh in 2019 trade #20 #52 and a 2020 3rd round pick to move up to #10. I believe we could send picks #22, 86, and 118 in order to move up to #16. That would still leave us with our 2nd round pick #54, two 5th’s and three 6th’s.
  8. I really really liked him. I do believe he won’t go until 3rd round. As the draft comes closer, the stock of others combined with his medical will push him further and further down boards.
  9. Top 4 tackles likely gone by pick 15. After that I don’t think any have a true round 1 grade.
  10. Always seemed like an obvious fit. Not a direct challenge Trubisky, but can take over if/when he falters. Really seems all too similar to Tannehill.
  11. Yea my bad. I forgot to mention I see Fulton gone by 22 as well.
  12. He’s the Carolina guy I think we sign. Gives Ford the chance to start at tackle. If Ford succeeds at Tackle, he can challenge Long at guard. If Ford plays guard, he can challenge Nsekhe at right tackle. Also, he’d probably come cheap. And with his injury history he might look fondly at Buffalo.
  13. To me that says Beane might move up a bit to get an edge or receiver they like. But corner and OL could definitely be picks as well. I do agree with the overall sentiment though. I see 4-5 OT’s, 3 WR’s and at least 2 edge rushers to be gone by 22. There’s so many bad offensive lines with young QB’s I can’t see too many getting to far. I believe all of the following would be gone by the time we pick at 22. Jeudy Lamb Ruggs II Wills Wirfs Bekton Thomas Young Chaisson I think their best options at 22 will be: WR (in no particular order): Reagor Mims Jefferson Aiyuk Higgins Shenault Edge: Epenesa (MAYBE) Gross-Matos CB: Henderson Gladney OT: Jones (MAYBE) Realistically, I see Beane using some of our later pieces to move up 3-4 spots. Dallas at 17 or Miami at 18, in order to get the player they desire. So much also depends on what they are able to do in free agency. I have no idea what they’ll do but for the first time in so long, I have the utmost confidence in their every move.
  14. Solid 40 and a great 3-cone show he has the agility to run all the routes. Plays all 4 phases of special teams, and his catch rate was something ridiculous like 86% for his career. He’s huge and not only big but physically imposing as well. Higgins is tall but slender. He worries me in a lot of ways.
  15. Idk I’d personally take Jefferson, Mims, Reagor and Pittman all above Higgins
  16. I don’t think Higgins is a fit at all. I know he’s got the size aspect, but he’s always dinged up. A lot of missed time within games, and someone on WGR, some draft guy, said he’s heard Higgins isn’t exactly the best locker room guy. Also the fact the Bills didn’t scout Clemson in person until the championship (where they also scouted LSU), tells me they’re not very interested.
  17. I like Epenesa a lot. I know he’s not your new-age bendy guy with a ton of burst. But he’s an excellent technician and his strength is rare at the edge position.
  18. My take: Reagor: A bit less than hoped for. But he’s a gamer. His vert was impressive though and I think that’s the biggest question with a smaller guy like himself. Pittman Jr: Personally a 4.52 for him is really solid. He’s putting himself in that end of round 2 conversation imo. Justin Jefferson- 4.44 nice time. Claypool & Mims: clear winners. Both are guys with a lot of size who ran really well. Shenault: didn’t run a 2nd time for whatever reason (I’m assuming medical). 4.59 does not help his case. He might fall to Day-2. Ruggs: Impressive 4.28, but the way they hyped him I thought he might do a touch better. Having a medical issue immediately afterwards could be concerning but who knows, these guys are going all out to make as much money as possibly.
  19. I like him a lot as a better version of what McKenzie has been for us.
  20. I would be thrilled to get him in the 2nd or 3rd. I just don’t think they will...
  21. Agree with this 100%. I feel like a lot of people believe puts out a lot of generic “GM speak, and they all do to an extent, but between his comments and McDermott’s you can usually pluck out a theme. And this year is about finding playmaking pieces on offense.
  22. I was not a fan with how he went after the WR position. I think Beane will be more aggressive. He stated as much at his end of season presser saying that they need more “touchdown makers”. I think they’ll try to address main holes in free agency, in order to go after BPA in draft. I see them signing at least one each of RB, WR, OG/OT flex, DE, DT, LB, CB. I think Joe B. is correct about running back and they go after someone on the level of Howard. Wide Receiver I believe they’ll go after one of the guys like Perriman, Geronimo Allison, Rashad Higgins, Demarcus Robinson, etc. to at least challenge McKenzie/Foster/Williams for that #3 receiver spot. They don’t want to be forced into a pick for the draft. Now, the G/T could be bringing Spain back, but I believe in that case they’ll cut Long and still look for a flex there. Really though I think they might look for someone on a 1yr deal to challenge Ford & Nsekhe and possibly fill in at guard if Feliciano is hurt or Spain doesn’t come back. Edge is where I think they’ll make a splash. I’m not sure if it’ll be Ngakoue/Judon splash, or something like a Jenkins/Ogbah splash, but they’ll spend money there. DT will be a lower cost guy to rotate with Oliver at the 3-Tech. LB I could see Joe B being correct in going after a guy like Fackrell. I could also see Kamalei Correa as an option. Only 26 I believe and hasn’t lived up to draft potential. Had a strong end of season and playoff though. Could see McDermott turning him into a gamer. At Corner I just don’t see them spending money like that especially if they know they’re going to extend Tre. I know it’s only a one year deal, but I don’t see them spending more than $5M/yr on whoever ends up on the opposite corner. Draft wise I think they’ll look for playmakers at receiver, some more juice and speed from their edge, and while they’ve scouted Dugger hard, I think Siran Neal came on at the end of last season and is going to make an impact in 2020. He and Jaquan Johnson will get a chance to help fill that “heavy nickel” db spot and possibly to even replace Poyer.
  23. Personal opinion, but I believe the Bills will add three receivers of at least replacement level production. I could see them looking to replace or at least challenge the skill sets of each of Foster, McKenzie, and Williams Obviously not sure if it’ll be draft free agency or trades, but I think they go hard at the position to add youth and depth behind Brown & Beasley.
  24. I could see Beane moving a 2021 2nd or something like that to move up for “his guy” if they value a guy that falls to about 14/15 or so.
  25. Just a really interesting player and I think teams that are looking for a guy who can be a bit of a gadget option, he could be an option that’s available later on in the draft
