They are pressing now. Dropping everything.

Fumble couldn’t have happened to a better individual.

Wow.
-
Power backs are all the rage right now.
-
At least all the networks are cranking Rush at the breaks to pay tribute. We’ve got that to drown out our failure tears.
-
It’s a regular season award. Lamar deserves the MVP for what he did in the regular season.

I don’t disagree that it’s probably a touch premature, but none of the “who’d you beats” matter much once you get in the tournament. You either win or go home. That urgency tends to bring out every ounce of what you have. We lost so we’re out. I’m just saying, there’s not one of these teams remaining we can’t beat. Now...the NFC is a different story. I think the champ is coming out of the NFC this year.

I’m definitely not saying we would’ve rolled them, but we’ve had Tannehill’s number for years. Even with pretty talented Miami teams. Home field would’ve been big, but you’re right that they would’ve been a tough out. Would’ve loved to see it. Talk about fans at the airport.

Agreed. I’m looking at these playoff receivers, and it just continues to remind me how badly we’ve neglected the receiver position. Seems like all these teams are flush with young receiving talent making plays for their QB while we keep trotting out Robert Foster and Lee Smith all year. ?

F’n Tannehill in the AFC championship game. Never a sentence I thought I’d write.
-
Anyone who thinks we couldn’t have actually made a run at the Super Bowl this year is crazy. Not one of these AFC teams we couldn’t beat. McD has to be kicking himself.

HaS mOrE tOuCh ThAn AlLeN. Did I get that right? ?

Any other “loser” on here secretly rooting for the Titans? Watch that a**hats twitter feed blow up.

Long drive with a lot of time to come up empty.

Would make a helluva WR. ?

“O 'Doyle, I got a feeling your whole family's going down. But right now, I gotta study.” And yes...I know his name is Boyle, but this is all I think about for some reason when they keep saying his name.

Same on 4th and 27. ?

Evan Washburn looking like a more polished Dax Shepard.

What could’ve been! Big IF to think the Bills could’ve knocked off the Chiefs, but a home AFC championship game would’ve been a dream. Couldn’t have gotten off to a better start for Titans. Now we’re going to see just how developed a passer Lamar is in his second year. A lot of time left though.

WTF is wrong with the world when Tannehill is still alive in the playoffs? Or...even in the playoffs.
-
I don’t want to lose any of these guys just like I didn’t want to lose Gaine the first time, but that’s the nature of the beast. If Gaine is actually any good, which I’m assuming he is, he is likely more untouchable and likely to stick around longer in light of the rumors after his firing in Houston. But...maybe not.

Don’t mind Ian Eagle, but what’s it say when Dan Fouts makes up your second crew on CBS. Guy is terrible and shouldn’t be anywhere near the playoffs. I’d rather get more dirty sanchez mentions from Archuletta than listen to him. At least that’s funny.

Pretty cool what they just did for Cowher on pregame show.

Honestly, one guy I completely forgot about from this last draft that could potentially step in for Zo is Vosean Joseph (Vojo). Depending how he develops coming off injury. Has a year under his belt and would be a big speed upgrade. Worst case scenario you roll with Tremaine, Milano, and Corey Thompson, but I’m sure they’ll add to the group. They’ll never do it, but if you have to, I’d consider sliding Tremaine over to replace Zo and give Thompson a shot at MLB on run downs. He’s looked pretty decent when he’s played. Then go to Tremaine and Milano in 2LB sets.

The Rooney Rule (still) isn’t working?
Blank Stare replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree to disagree I suppose. Point of my post wasn’t to change your beliefs. Rather, simply to express mine. I never said all cases. In fact, very rarely can you say all cases about anything. Athletic superiority as you’ve suggested could absolutely be a reason for some of the several position switches at various levels. As far as your comment about too much “nonsense about racism”, I’m sorry you don’t like the topic, but it’s a very real part of life for many people in this country, including NFL coaches and players. You don’t get to dismiss it because you deem it nonsense. Sports is an escape for a lot of people, but sometimes it takes a common subject universally accepted by all races to get people’s attention and have a meaningful discussion about it. Personally, I like hearing multiple perspectives on the subject. However, I will give you that this message board is predominately about the Bills, so maybe this isn’t the right forum for such discourse.
