I think there is at least a little given we have had statistically bad passer rankings but have managed 22, 25, and 19 points. He had a 1,500 yard rusher and averaged 13.2 points per game. That is frightening. There's more to it than that. Taking a step back he had fairly well rounded approaches in Miami and KC. It seems very possible he could take a step forward here but it is not what all the "throw for 300 yards" crowd is looking for.

It isn't even pronounced mute. If I was going to purposely misspell it I probably would have shot for mewt.

IM0 the best bit of info I've seen all night. It appears that every former Cleveland offensive coordinator is really good once they leave Cleveland. http://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland-browns/post/_/id/11125/browns-new-offensive-coordinator-will-be-sixth-in-six-years Year Offensive coordinator 1999 Chris Palmer* 2000 Pete Carmichael 2001-03 Bruce Arians 2004 Terry Robiskie** 2005-06 Maurice Carthon 2006 Jeff Davidson 2007-08 Rob Chudzinski 2009-10 Brian Daboll 2011 Pat Shurmur* 2012 Brad Childress 2013 Norv Turner 2014 Kyle Shanahan 2015 To be determined

it's when the auto correct on my phone fixes a word for me and people find it amusing. I could go back and edit it but i don't care.

As interesting as when Mangini left and McDaniels ............. it doens't matter. If Belichick is the coach and Brady is the QB the offense and defense will play on in NE.
-
Did Rob Ryan sneak in there and make the secondary calls one last time?
-
looked like the patented Donte Whitner back whiff.

43 for the Saints gets cut tomorrow .................. what the hell kind of tackle was that.
-
Tell me anyone in Buffalo could go get that pass.
-
Him and Brady both miss passes they didn't used to miss but when they're on they are still able to fit balls into places other QB's just can't.
-
I'd love it even more if they ruined it for the Pats and beat them in the SB.
-
I think I'm getting over it. It's like I wanted a Ferrari and my wife made me buy a plow truck. I guess if you live in the NE then maybe a plow truck is a good thing. I don't hate his offenses but whatever he does he's going to have to get in the end zone a lot more in this stint.

Every QB misses open guys ................

I don't think I ignored that at all. I said if we had an established QB and WR we might be good. Do we have a much higher quality of players here that he's going to be working with?
-
I've read it but he's been in 3 different cities and had beyond miserable results. I might be optimistic if we had an established QB and WR and he was bringing in a sound running game, he seems to have, and a ball control offense. Everyone here is clamoring for a passing attack and that does not seem to be his thing at all.
-
Without name dropping give me one reason to think he's a great hire. Best I can come up with is that he seems to put together good running games but he appears to be downright horrible with QB's. Matt Moore is the closest thing he's had to a passing game and even as I say he seems to put together a running game the teams he's had haven't been able to score with the running game so it's kind of a mute point. Now someone give me a reason other than he's a likeable guy or there were rumors Bilichick was going to hire him. We all know Brady can basically run the offense without an 0C. He isn't a retread ........... as long as you forget the 3 times he's failed miserably at it.
-
Well your in luck then. He's your coach.

So Mr Fixit thinks you should drink the kool aid so you're not allowed to have an opinion. 0nly experts are allowed to have opinions. Looked it up we can celebrate turns out he only coached the 46th worst offense in the history of the NFL at 13.2 ppg so my guess is we'll have to take the starters out by the 3rd qtr vs the Pats next year. http://mcubed.net/nfl/ptlpfpg.shtml
-
Well with either a rookie or Taylor how is that going to be drastically different here? Like I said I'm trying to take deep breaths. I'll get over it. Try not to let this run over into other posts/days but right now this seems very short of what we needed.
-
My guess is by this guys horrible resume. I'm not happy at all. Been through decades of this crap so I'll get over it. Cool off, hope for the best but every piece of tangible evidence says this guy doesn't have it.
-
Maybe if it was a huge success on offense. We did hire him as an offensive coordinator. Alabama had the best defense. We didn't hire him to coach defense. In three stints in the NFL he's averaged 17 points. Dennison in his worst season did better than that. Rumors that he might get hired here or there pretty much mean nothing. When he's been an 0C he's done nothing. What is the logic that would lead one to believe a guy who averages 17 ppg is going to take a group that averaged 19ppg and get it to score anywhere near enough to beat Brady?
-
He won a national championship like Dennison won a SB.
-
Look if you are going to rag on Dennison and Tyrod and then bring in a guy who on average does even worse to potentially develop a kid who's never played a down in the NFL I'm sorry but skepticism is deserved. He developed a TE who was already really good? How does that help anyone? He's well respected. You know what I would respect? Someone who's averaged 25 ppg with an NFL offense.
-
Everyone respected Jauron also. It's not my job to put a good team on the field and I'm allowed to call it like I see it. If the fact that every offense he's been an actual decision making part of has been a colossal failure doesn't bother you then keep drinking the kool aid. Hells yeah I'd like to be wrong but I'll believe it when I see it.
-
Remember Dennison scoring 18.9 and getting fired? This guy averages 17 over 4 seasons. Just saying.
