  1. Only positive thing I can say so far (about the offense). McCoy is running much more north and south.
  2. Just let him do what he's good at. Get Brown on one side and Foster on the other and throw it down the damn field. Let the tight end and Beasley run underneath or Josh scramble and when you've hit a few down the field the run will finally be there.
  3. Another year of the defense making us think "well maybe" and the offense running our hopes through a meat grinder for 48 minutes.
  4. Nice ........ McCoy isn't only wearing his dancing shoes Nevermind
  5. Patricia looks like a jack a##.
  6. Nice .......... now we get to hear the Booger spin on it.
  7. Unfortunately for the Cards it might not be Kyler. Shanahan can make Mullins look like a serviceable QB. McVay instantly made Goff legit. If the problem is that Kingsbury's offense doesn't translate to the NFL against NFL defenses then Kyler will never have a chance.
  8. Glennon with the quick slant. Peterman is going to light these turds up and that is sad.
  9. I get it that they are keeping the offense "vanilla" but how come they can't even get a quick slant or a screen behind some of these blitzers. Can't make plays against the blitz then you are going to see a lot of the blitz.
  10. Gruden is spitting on himself like it's an olympic sport.
  11. Talking about Murry you'd think he was the next coming of Peyton. Watching him looks like the air raid is going to be air glade and the scent will be shitrus.
  12. meh .......... we've had so much luck signing guys that have been productive at RB the need to use a draft choice (especially a 3rd round pick) doesn't seem to be there but I'll trust the process.
  13. I like Ford/Risner in rd 2. I also like Boykin at WR later on. His size and athleticism would serve Allen well and he's probably not the next reciever getting picked so he might make it another round or two.
  14. Anyone remember the horrible call against Robey when we played the Pats? Maybe a very belated make up call.
  15. One of those two caught a fake kick .............. I think that might have helped people remember them as being better. I swear our defenses were awful for years. Hell even Schobel. We had LB sized DL players and midgets behind them (Coy Wire and London Fletcher ect.) We got run on week in and week out for 3 or 4 seasons.
  16. Kelsay in particular everyone seemed to like but the guy couldn't set the edge, he couldn't pass rush, and they paid him like he was great. Him and Denny both were the picture of mediocre and the stuck around for years.
  17. Mind you I'm answering these all with my own opinion. Take it for what you will. Reed sucked. All the drops of Zay but with less athleticism. Kelsay sucked. I have no idea why they kept him around but our defense was lousy almost the entire time he was here. Parrish was a poor mans Tavon Austin. Byrd played well here and then injuries derailed him. Williams was drafted as a corner and actually played corner and safety at different times. Moved to and took Byrd's spot and looked like he was going to be great unil the injuries. Alonso is a good he got injured and McCoy trade. Darby is good but I think with our current defense there is less focus on man and thus Darby was expendable. Ragland looked (in camp) like a winner but got injured and moved on to KC. Showed flashes last year but the KC defense hasn't exactly been shutting people down this year. Zay got better this year. Did he peak or is he going to continue on and be a decent receiver? The drops are what makes you pull your hair out. Dawkins seems like an absolutely solid pick. He just needs to stay healthy.
  18. Tyrod made the pro bowl two years in a row ...................
  19. I am getting older but I lived through all of those games and like a said two pages ago I remembered Peters being a scrub. Didn't take much research to reafirm what I already thought. Peters is the Super Mario of offensive lineman. When he's "feeling it" he's an all pro and when he's not your QB is in for a long day. I later wrote of Peters, "[He] has emerged as one of the top left tackles in the NFL. Unfortunately, Peters is holding out because he wants to renegotiate his contract. I say pay the man. Peters is in the middle of a 5-year deal worth $15 million. He's one of the best players at his position, and he certainly deserves a lot more than he's currently making." So, should my Pro Bowl voting rights be revoked as well because I considered Peters a top talent? No; not for this reason anyway. Since the 2006 campaign, Peters' play has regressed exponentially. In 2007, Peters gave up six sacks in 15 contests. And last year, things got downright ugly, as Peters surrendered a whopping 11.5 sacks in just 13 games, good for tops in the NFL. Peters was also whistled for eight penalties, a career high for him. Now you see why I hate the Pro Bowl so much. How could the league's worst left tackle, statistically speaking, be voted in as one of the premier players at his position? http://walterfootball.com/jasonpeterstrade.php Peters also seemed to admit that maybe he didn’t give 100 percent on every play last year because he wasn’t happy with his contract. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/04/19/peters-didnt-know-he-gave-up-115-sacks-last-year/
  20. Arians is one of the few coaches who can come in and overnight change your team into a top ten scoring team. Winston should easily have his best year next year.
  21. I'm going to be honest and no one is going to like it but this is how I remember it. Peters was not that great. He flashed. He was a converted TE so he was quick and yet still strong but he gave up a ton of sacks, took plays off, and had a ton of penalties. He had only started for us a couple of years and the year we let him go was his worst for all of that. We had two horrible deals with Dockery and that other scrub from the Raiders so we weren't looking to over spend on another half hearted OL player and Peters wanted out badly. Was he super talented ......... absolutely. He also had a lot of bad plays especially for us. He continued the same problems the next couple of years for the Eagles also which is why I find it funny so many people love him now. Maybe because the Eagles are winning.
  22. All this talk about QB's and all I can think is what the hell happened to the Houston defense? When did JJ Watt become almost a non factor? Luck has had all day to throw.
  23. McNabb, McNair, Rogers, Luck, Vick, Brunell, Cunningham, Smith, Elway, and Young. I'm sure I'm missing several. A QB's success has so much to do with his surroundings. A good OC, defense, and an ability to make throws at clutch times can make all the difference between winners and losers. The pairing of Jackson and the offense in Baltimore works because of the coaching staff in Baltimore. So much of thier staff is built up of proven option and RPO type offensive coaching that working Jackson in is easy. McNair and McNabb are two of the best examples of running QB's who were very successful. They got better in the pocket over time but both were still very capable at breaking the pocket throughtout their careers.
