Hadn't heard of them. They do a good job of picking cover songs. Enjoyed their version of Rusty Cage (Soundgarden) off their website.

Local band. Rock n Roll with a brass section. I do like a band with a brass section.

If you shut down the run Mac Jones isn't Brady yet and his pass catchers aren't great either. If you let every back the Pats have rip off good runs the Jones and the Pats receivers will look like all stars. As always the Pats defense will probably come to play and our defense getting a few turnovers could go a long way.

I didn't realize he fumbled so much in the passing game. I didn't remember him losing the ball rushing but I guess the guy can't hold onto it after a catch. -

So Singletary's fumbling problem is 3 fumbles (including today) with 1 lost in the last 2 seasons? -

Why is Singletary chopped liver? Why aren't more people crying for him just to get more carries? The guy isn't a bruiser but neither is Moss or Breida. Every time he gets carries he produces. He doesn't fumble. I just don't understand why the guy isn't getting more than 7 carries a game. -
Pats perfected the rub routes using rbs, which opened up the TE down the seam. Then when teams tried to cover those they'd get the WR's involved down the field. If we can't run effectively and the rush is getting to us we need to be extra efficient in our short passing game and the more effective we are the better chance we have of opening things up for the WR's later. Wouldn't hurt to get our rb's better involved in the passing game.

Huh, this is weird (Jags game personnel sets)

or even two HB's and let them both chip for the tackles on the way out to the flats. Give the WR's time to work down the field and the middle and back the coverage even further off so if you do outlet to a back he has 3 or 4 yards before they close on him. -
What prompted the change to our offense, and other questions?

Really good break down of the how and why we've ended up with a running attack that is where it is. My take is from this video is that essentially we have mixed scheme personal that we mash into a zone block scheme because it minimizes missed blocks that blow up your running game. Although clearly we are still missing blocks and our running game is still getting blown up. -
Calling all RB and OL Gurus, Your Input Please

I think the whole point Turner was making is that the backside guard passes off the defender. The Colts LT makes that block because the guard held his man up until he got there. If Dawkins is expecting the guard to pass him off (the way the colts guard did) then it's pretty reasonable as to why he couldn't make that block. -

Turner says specifically to watch the back side guards because they tag teams the defender, pass him off and keep him blocked vs our guard taking off and leaving the defender for dawkins who didn't have a chance. Zone blocking should have men in their zone blocked up, not running free. -

If you are going to throw 80 percent of the time you better have an Oline that can block and is smart enough to find their man on stunts. While I'd rather just run the ball more I'm not above admitting we could probably still throw all the time and move the ball and score points if our starters were healthy (both the OL and Knox). I still wish we had a more adaptable offense that could put in two TE's and run it in some games and then go 3 or 4 wide in others and throw it. In both cases Josh is going to have to understand who's out there with him and not throw picks, not fumble, and end drives with (as he'd tell you himself) kicks. As much as I like him sitting in the pocket and making thows if they are going to do shell coverage and spead out their defenses I'm also all for Josh running more. Be smart and don't take a ton of hits but if it gives us an extra blocker and he can run for 5 or 6 all day go ahead and take it till they start changing up coverages. -
You're trying to shuffle the deck chairs on the Titanic. Sure the grass is greener on the other side of the fence where they care about the grass. They haven't been trying to develop a running game since Dennison left and Allen was drafted.
