  1. The offense is a project but this team has way too many holes to draft for need. The offensive line was picked over by the time we selected. We can pick up more guys in FA after the draft and players that don't make other teams. You can't address every hole in one offseason.
  2. As if there aren't a million threads complaining that Allen didn't throw for 5,000 yards in college. STATS DON"T TELL THE ENTIRE STORY! He's a project, everyone knows that. However, he is regarded as the QB with the highest potential in this class.
  3. I'm trying to imagine how a team is going to run against Star, Phillips and Edmunds up the middle...
  4. For this year, I think that group may work fine. Let Zay grow into the player he is meant to be this year and add another next year. We will see though. If there is a guy they like at their pick, take him. No reason this team shouldn't choose whoever is number one on their board. This team just needs more talent.
  5. I just don't know where he truly fits position wise on this defense. I see him more as a 3-4 rusher do to his size. Unsure if he can play lb in a 4-3 but who knows. Also intrigued by Tegray Scales from Indiana, Mike McCray from Michigan and Josey Jewell from Iowa. Only thing with Jewell is I see him as a MLB and I expect Tremaine to have that spot on lockdown. Depth doesn't hurt though.
  6. I don't think they need to put a set position on him. He said in his press conference that McDermott asked him if he liked the idea of moving around a bit. I see him playing a little bit of both and being a major asset in the rotation. When star is off of the field, he can fill in nicely and together on the field...good luck running on that duo plus Edmunds behind them.
  7. I understand people wanting us to draft offense but defense is what keeps you in the game. Did for us last year. The offense is a project that will be addressed next year. Trusting the process. I like what I see. Front 7 has been injected with some talent, hope that continues.
  8. He also has the ability to live in the backfield. Watch his tape and he was constantly in the backfield. 17 TFL and 7.5 sacks to go along with almost tackles? Monster. He can penetrate better than most believe but he does it in a unique way. His wrestling backround helps him with that.
  9. Tremaine Edmunds has the potential to be an absolute monster for the Bills behind the likes of Star and Phillips over the next few years who eat blocks and create a lot of space for the linebackers to make plays. Phillips has what it takes to get some sacks. He's not the fastest guy but when you watch him on tape, he just competes and gets the job done. He lives in the backfield. How many DTs can say they had a 100 plus tackle season? That is ridiculous! Front 7 has gotten some major help so far this offseason. Could see more being added today if the board falls a certain way.
  10. I honestly believe he is the best match for this team and the offense that they want to run.
  11. Oh no doubt. They still need to throw it together and see if it works. I like the Barkley pick for them. Eli needed someone to help him on offense. The Bills offense is a project. We all are aware of that. The defense kept us in almost every game last year and they are beefing that up while Allen will learn this year. Next year will be mostly about offense I'm sure. We just need to be patient for when we have more money for free agent.
  12. Another young linebacker is ideal, another corner and perhaps developmental pass rushing prospect. Just pick BPA though. Too many needs not to
  13. I expected all of the running backs who went to be gone. This class has many more that contribute still. Very deep class at that position. May look at that position at some point in the 5th round is my guess.
  14. Only reason why I'd be hesitant about drafting the RB is if the offensive line is bad and well, the Giants don't exactly have a great one. I'm sure it'll still work out for them. They needed someone to take some weight off of Eli's shoulders. He's been playing with washed up or scrub running backs for a while now.
  15. Brown is 6'4". He would play outside at the next level. I think Zay should be played underneath in the slot patterns. I think they will use Edmunds at MLB the majority of the time. We will see though Callaway has failed drug tests and many off the field issues. They could take him but I doubt it. I don't think they want another young receiver with off the field issues. Zay already has had more than expected. Not sure, maybe they will wait out to see who gets cut and add that way. They have a ton of cash next offseason where they can address that position if they'd like to for our new QB just like Philly did with Alshon Jeffrey in year 2 for them.
  16. Not for 7. I meant some predicted we would have to give up 3 first round picks to get our QB. When you trade up from outside ten to inside ten and are fighting off other offers to get a potential franchise QB...yeah you are going to overpay for whatever value is in the trade charts. Those aren't cut and dry. Offers will go up if there is competition for the pick. Why is anyone surprised by that? They ended up getting a potential franchise QB and kept their other first round pick. That is a major win for us IMO. Some had us trading the farm and only getting a QB. That was the point I was trying to make
  17. Both might be gone before Buffalo's next pick.
  18. Who said 7 was worth three 1st rounders. I said that we could have paid way more for a QB if they didn't wait. They saved 22 by holding out when many fans wanted us to trade the house for 2 or 4. Trading from outside the top ten to inside the top ten to take a potential franchise QB while teams like the Cardinals and the Dolphins were in the vicinity...I'm not surprised we had to overpay.
  19. When you are trading up for a QB high in the first round, you may have to pay a little more.
  20. They weren't bad but they are nowhere close to the place where McDermott wants them to be. We picked up some really good pieces so far but if there is a better defensive player there in the fourth round, you gotta take him.
  21. I do like Hamilton but he reminds me of what we brought Zay Jones in to be and despite an interesting offseason and year 1 for him, I think he will make it there eventually. There are a few interesting WR prospects still on the board.
  22. Not this year when we have so many holes to fill. If the best player on the board is defense, you go defense. That being said if the best player is offense, jump for joy. We need both sides, don't block out half of the players on a single pick.
  23. Exactly. That's why you don't handcuff yourself on any one pick by saying we need this side of the ball on this pick. Get the best guy on the board. I'd love for it to be an offensive player but nobody was there in the third that I would take over Phillips.
  24. Anyone willing to trade up in the fourth for St. Brown? I wasn't up for a trade up in the third but one in the fourth for a receiver that should've gone on day two and can compete right away would make this a really strong draft class in my opinion
