  1. The Bills do not value either of those things highly lol
  2. True, but the same thing was said for Carter last year. He may be the forgotten man here bc in the first 5 games prior to injury he looked like he could be a player. Upon return...not so much
  3. I think it will be sooner than that. Bills should have it still comfortably this year but next season could be a real competition. Good news is that both Miami and the Jets look like a complete non threat in the near term.
  4. They had passed Miami before the draft
  5. Why don't we just acquire Diontae Johnson? That seemed popular last year
  6. No you're not. Hard pass
  7. I'm not putting a lot of stock in his personality lol. Everyone loved Keon too until he actually got on the field. Just go and play ball - hopefully Hairston will be a good addition to our secondary
  8. My only hope for the first 4 picks in this draft was that the Giants did not screw us and take a QB. Hunter or Carter to the Pats would've been less than ideal
  9. One of the finest moments of Ferguson's career was in a game at the Orange Bowl in 1983, which was also was the first career start for Marino in the NFL. 5 td's and 419 yards passing
  10. That was such BS lol. Fried is a beast though
  11. Exactly. Think of a guy like Troy Vincent, who was an outstanding cover corner for Miami early in his career but had the necessary size and physicality to make the switch when his athleticism slowly waned. Tre always had an extremely lean build for a corner, let alone a safety. He was generally terrible in run support despite solid effort. There is nothing about his game that suggests he could move to either safety position successfully at this stage.
  12. Who cares if he can't play? He looked absolutely abysmal for the Ravens
  13. If Tre is CB2 we are in deep deep trouble. It would be worse than Douglas. There is probably very little guaranteed money in this signing. This should have ZERO impact on the Bills CB plans in the draft
  14. His arm wasn't anywhere close to Marino and Elway, and it faded badly in his early 30's. There is a reason he retired at 36. He was physically spent his last 2 seasons.
  15. I have Kelly somewhere in the 25-30 range, which is obviously nothing to sneeze at. He is worthy of being in the HOF but was only truly elite for 2 seasons (1990 & 1991). He had some clutch moments but plenty of big game duds as well. The edge that Kelly had over almost all of his contemporaries was his physical toughness which is nearly unmatched at the qb position in NFL history.
  16. I disagree on ultimate responsibility. If multiple players are that far out of position on a easy to stop 3rd and forever play, that would seem to point as much to the defensive coaching as execution. This isn't the first time we've disagreed on the Bills 3rd and long failures. We just see it differently. You have been a pretty ardent Frazier defender over time it seems. And yes, I realize this does not absolve the failures of subsequent defensive coaches, or ultimately McDermott. Frazier did produce some good results here.
  17. To me it appeared the entire defensive backfield and Edmunds were at or behind the line to gain of the 37 yard line. When the ball was dumped off to Duke Johnson there was literally no one on the screen around him. Should've never happened, but I would believe that alignment to be more on the coaching staff than the players.
  18. It was on Cody Ford. Bad call, but even if it wasn't penalized Hauschka still would've had to kick 55 plus yards to win
  19. The 3rd and 18 conversion Buffalo gave up in OT was emblematic of Leslie Frazier's entire tenure in Buffalo. Just Charmin soft
  20. Great job getting him locked in at those terms. That contract could be a steal
  21. Yeah he really grundled the ball with that post
  22. I'd settle for another Mike Lodish or Gary Baldinger. Leif Larsen would be even better
  23. So true, even in a year like the 2011 draft. Just look at the top 6 picks: Cam Newton, Von Miller, Marcell Dareus, A.J. Green, Patrick Peterson, Julio Jones. One of those is not like the others.
  24. Maybe I misunderstood. Hopefully they will figure out something. Anyways, enough baseball talk for this forum. I really don't think the Hoecht/Ogunjobi situations, while embarrassing, take anything away from the Bills position this offseason. Relative to other contenders, the Bills have at least treaded water if not slightly improved whereas most other top teams have been a net negative so far. They have 10 picks and a great deal of flexibility in the draft. All is not lost. I honestly feel great about where the Bills are right at this moment.
