PEGULA: Fan-related costs factor into stadium decision
Jrb1979 replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It may that all over the country they drink light beer. As far as Blue goes I see it advertised more in WNY then a lot of other states that I have been too. When I go to Sabres games its one of the ones that's always on tap. I have gone to other stadiums and its not as easy to find on tap. They may not have Genny Cream but I am sure there is Genny of some kind there. As far as all I post about is beer. Its not true. I just enjoy a good beer, even at Bills or Sabres games. Give me Saranac or Big Ditch over Blue light. I prefer something that doesn't taste like tap water. I don't need a beer that goes down in 10 mins and be hammered by the time the game starts. -
I have always wondered why Buffalo loves the Blue Collar identity and their love of beers like Blue and Genny? There is far better beers out there then either of them. Give me Ellicottville or Saranac over either.

Bills Stadium Situation A Big, Big Nut To Crack...

There is nothing wrong with that. When I go to Sabres games I hit up one of the bars for some food and a couple of drinks then head to the game. -

No but getting away from the Blue Collar identity would go a long way. Pricing the fans that just show up to party would go a long way. Better food would help too. Nothing wrong with having better beer too. -

I disagree. Blue and Genny taste like water. Give me Yeungling or Sam Adams over those any day. People of Buffalo need to get over the Blue Collar image they so love. Nothing screams blue collar then Genny Cream. -

I'm surprised so many of you get drunk on Blue or Genny. The alcohol or taste is a lot like tap water. -
Maybe but now anytime anyone says anything bad about Allen or don't look at him as the saviour at QB, the response they get is "^this guy ?. Its almost like all fans must Billieve in Allen or your not a fan of DEM BILLS.

How many Americans have passports? Do they not want to leave their country? -
Yeah. According to you it's all sunshine and roses. Gotta be a big homer. Everything DEM BILLS do is great.

PEGULA: Fan-related costs factor into stadium decision

It seems majority of the fanbase that post here believe prices that high would price them out. IMO raising season tickets to that price would make it so they can get a better stadium downtown with a domed roof. A new stadium means limited tailgating and on Bills lots. No more private lots like Hammers, which will limit some of the crazy drunks. A new stadium with lots of craft brews and better food would be a good start. WNY needs to get away from their love of bad cheap beer like Blue and Genny. -

I have never seen a fanbase so upset by getting a new stadium. I would love to see one built like the one the Browns play in. From what I have seen of it, it looks really nice and probably has amenities like their baseball stadium. Almost all the Cleveland area craft brews have a booth. WNY needs to get over loving their game day brews of Blue and Genny. Two of the worst beers ever. A new domed stadium downtown is probably what's going to happen. Limit tailgating to Bills owned lots, aka no more Hammers lot, to generate more revenue and get people to spend more money in the stadium. I know a lot of you here don't want that but the team also wants to draw more family oriented people and limit the amount of drunks at games. -
^ this guy. ?

I can't stand most pilsners. Canadian and Blue are the absolute worst. Even Bud I don't like much.
-
Honest question. I have always wondered why most americans like their light beers or beers like Blue. For me I like a good tasting beer over a Genny light or Genny Cream. Give me an IPA or an Amber Ale instead.
-
Yuck. Light beer is awful. I am enjoying a nice can of Creemore premium lager that has 208 calories. If I am drinking beer calories is the last thing I think about.

Im surprised this thread isn't dominated more by the WNY favourites of Genny Cream, Genny light and Labbats Blue. My favorite right now is Sam Adams summer ale. Goes down really easy.

McDermott and the Golden State Warriors

You could say the same about most hockey players except that most NHL players play through some kind of injury through the entire playoffs. Erik Karlsson of the Sharks played all playoffs with a groin tear and Chara is playing with is jaw wired shut. Hockey players are tougher then basketball players and a lot of football players when it comes to playing through injuries. -
Hockey is one of the best sports out there. You're just upset that the game is too fast and complicated for you.

First Day of Summer! I hate the Freaking Summer!

There is lots to do in the summer. I spend my summer at amusement parks and my trailer. Summer is the best time of year unless you're one of those strange ones that love winter. -
Best New York State Amusement Parks?
Jrb1979 replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I am 40 and I have never grown out of going to amusement parks. I end up at Cedar Point probably 5 to 6 times a year on top of going to Wonderland a dozen or so times a season. -
I think if they build a domed stadium would bring a lot of those people with deeper pockets if they know they won't have to deal with the weather. Judging by a lot of the responses in regards to a new stadium that a lot you are afraid to be priced out and losing tailgating the way it is now. A new stadium would probably make ticket prices closer to the league average of $100 vs $70 which is what they are now.
