A defensive mindes HC. It's tough to see that group being successful with a project QB. That said, we dont know how well they coach. We aren't in the QB room. At practice. They may do well. Time Will tell.

In my view I would put it on both McDermott and Beane. There were options in FA to bring in a QB that was able to hold it down if they wanted Allen to sit if that was the plan. If they planned on him playing this year he should have been given 1st team reps and gotten him more experience. Not meant to be an excuse for anyone at all. We knew, draft experts knew and even the Bills knew that of all the QBs coming out (aside from Jackson) Allen would need the most support and time. He hasn't gotten that yet in my opinion. Next year should tell a new story.

If I was Howie, Id also call the Browns about Duke Johnson.

Not only that but with their cap issues next year I would think they want talented players on rookie deals as opposed to 30 year old RBs making 10 million. If that give up a 2 and keep McCoy for 11 games and possible playoff than cut him to save money it's a bad move. A 2nd for a 1 year rental isn't very sound.

If you were Philly...would you GIVE a second? I wouldn't trade a second for McCoy at this stage of his career. But the fact that the rumor broke over 3 hours ago and there are no updates leads me to believe talks arent extending beyond an initial phone call.
