Rumor- Harrison Phillips not coming back
BuffaloBillyG replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall
But....you just responded in the totally unproven click-bait headline thread. Everything ok with you today, friend? -
Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Different for sure. Also wouldn't shock me to see some forms of struggling in the offense to start the year. New play caller, new wrinkles and a few new players. Hopefully they can sync fast. -
Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I think some people are expecting a carbon copy of the Daboll offense and are in for a surprise. Dorsey will undoubtedly put his fingerprints on the offense. What does he value in the slot? Speed guy? Size guy? More 2 TE looks? Will be awesome to see the new wrinkles for sure. -
Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually he said he anticipated Cole being back, however he also noted that they "haven't had those discussions with him yet". That 2nd part was key. I believe they figured Beasley would rework his deal as he's said over and over that it's not about money for him. Perhaps the combination of possible playing for less and the Bills planning on playing Davis more was just took much of a perceived insult to Cole to want to stay. -
How much $ is Trubusky going to sign for in FA?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Dalton got $10M last year in a down year for salary cap, I think Trubisky will see something in the range of a 2 year $28M deal as a baseline. I could see it going up from there based on the QB trade market drying up, nothing spectacular in FA or the draft it QB and the amount of QB needy teams this year. I expect a nice comp pick (round 4ish) out of it pending on Beane's FA spending (which should be on the low end this year with the cash we have available). -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Cool story. Next time he should put in some car crashes and dragons to make it REALLY pop. Look, if people want to believe all this drama without any proof other than "Dude trust me, I was told this happened" then that's super. As we see all across America these days people will believe anything they read without proof just to increase the sound in the echo chamber they want to hear. One thing I know for sure...when a story comes across with as much "detail" from the amount of sources it would take to put it together that all remain unnamed "sources" then about 90% of what you're reading is the authors opinions presented as resolute fact. -
Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade

I mean, I like McK and it was a great game...but all it proves is he had a great game. -
Can't wait to see him hitting deep balls to some guys with elite speed that outrun the coverage next year.

Speed available in the WR draft class
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tons of speed available in FA as well. A few solid CBs in FA. We should get a better picture of the draft after the FA period opens. -
Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Can't wait to see his Twitter when he leaves. He's gonna have a meltdown. No. I like McK. However I don't think he's as popular with the coaches as he is with the fans. And pointing at the defensive players after the KC loss and blasting them on the flight home...he may not be as popular in the locker room, either. Likely just time for both sides to move on. -

Green Bay is a great spot for him. -
If true, I would guess they asked him to take a pay cut and he said no thanks. Would also indicate to me they intend to be active on the WR FA or draft market. I actually think Green Bay would be a great landing spot for him. Pack could move on from Cobb and Lizard and get Aaron a sure handed weapon.

Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The unintentionally hilarious part of all this is how the whole thought process plays out. "McD preaches accountability, but doesn't practice it so I'm gonna be critical of that. But also, keep my name out of it because I don't want to be accountable for what I'm saying". -

Nameless, faceless coaches and players. Gotcha. -

Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, without knowing who is saying it we don't even know if they are still employed in Buffalo. For all we know it's Rick Dennison stirring the pot at being fired 4 years ago. -
Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
So the first part of this is saying he should do what he has done at many pressers for years. The second part says it's disingenuous and fake. -

Again...nameless "sources". A nameless source is useless because it could literally be anyone with anywhere from up close knowledge to bring a friend of a friend of a guy that Farwell coached with for a season 4 years ago that is speculating because of aomething he heard while in the bathroom stall being talked about by 2 guys that habe no idea the working of the Bills. And the prevailing idea is that, no he was not fired. His contract was likely up and he was free to leave. -

So, because McD didn't come out and put everyone at fault on full blast in the media...more "nameless players" feel he's not practicing accountability? Of course had he done that the same "nameless player" might say he's throwing guys under the bus and airing dirty laundry. BTW, as far as holding people accountable...where is the ST Coordinator now? Oh right...gone. Allowed to look for other opportunities. Or if the guys contract was up...he wasn't retained. Seems accountability may have happened. -

So, McD doesn't surround himself with "Yes men" and it leads to some friction. BFD. -
Browns reinforce their plans for Mayfield.
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
There were a few games in 2020 that they win largely because of his passing. However, I would agree they (along with the Jets) would love to go back and grab Allen over who they chose. -

He played well enough in 2020 and with the team they have they can win games with him as evidenced by their playoff win that season. He's never going to be a "reset the market" guy. Or at least shouldn't be. However when healthy he can be in that 2nd tier QB range IMO -
Yea, I can't IMAGINE a scenario where keeping the kicker in the loop with strategy would be beneficial....oh wait...
