There's been something odd happening with Lamar since the preseason. Harbaugh forbid the media or anyone else from filming Lamar throwing passes in camp. He's missed a TON of practice (and even 1 actual game) this year to "illness-nonCOVID". A few missed practices for "personal reasons". Not sure if there is an illness or legit injury they were keeping hidden until the "ankle injury" he has now.

He actually rushed the passer extremely well as a DT on pass rush downs in his 3rd and 4th season. Got excellent penetration and a few sacks out of him that way.

The article does say it's based solely off 2021 games. Based off that and the way Allen has played up and down from week to week (yes, in part due to weather. Also in part to teams playing him different early in the season...much like Mahomes) I think 7 is a fair slot.

Jerry had a great career here. Sadly, I do believe it's time to part ways. Glad the was here to experience a bit of team success. Wish Kyle Williams would have been around and extra couple years to be a part of it.

A lot more goes into it than just players lost. Another team has to sign them to a pretty large contract. Also, I believe it factors in what contracts we gave out to FA as well. Out of all of those I see some being back, some signed to average contracts. MAYBE Trubisky gets a deal from a desperate GM needing a QB miracle.

I highly, highly, highly doubt he would skip the game. He's too self centered to not play. I do however expect that if the Packers make it that he will use the opportunity to garner as much camera time making it all about how he's risen up from a season long of being persecuted for his stances and diverting any and all attention from the actual game.

Spot on about analytics. They can be a helpful tool to incorporate, for sure. But they cannot factor in specific events in what is happening to a team currently in the field. Way too many variables to be relied on 100%. A computer can't look a guy in the eye and say "He wants this more than normal. I trust him".
