  1. Cousins normally doesn't run for his life. Dalvin Cook always has nice holes to run through. That's not all on the coach, of course.. But it's a really nice potential step in the right direction.
  2. Yes, he's setting himself up for when the Giants start 0-4 and average 12 points a game. The snide will come back hard lol
  3. Little known fact. Rich Kotite was the 1st Head Coach with Lebanese decent. Other famous NFLers that are in part Lebenese: John Elway, Doug Flutie, Jeff George and Miami Dolphins founder Joe Robbie.
  4. I agree that is how it is being presented. As we all should know by now what the actual chain of events that took place behind closed doors may differ from that.
  5. I agree with what you are saying by and large. My thought, however is that of any white coach the Vikings could choose, Harbaugh and his resume would be an understandable, plausible and even almost bulletproof coach to pick. He has experience, a successful track record and is qualified for the job. The rumor now falls that the Vikings are picking Kevin O'Connell. A 36 year old who has been a coach for 5 years and is yet another Caucasian coach fasttracked into being a HC. This was the first interview he had. After Harbaugh "withdrew" the rumored finalists were O'Connell, Raheem Morris and Patrick Graham. One of those guys isn't like the others. This isn't to say O'Connell won't do the job or didn't win it outright by being the best interview...but the optics on this hire are not great at all.
  6. Couldn't look much worse than what's being reported in Minnesota. If O'Connell is indeed the guy (36, no HC experience, been a coach for 5 seasons) picked over Patrick Graham (well reguarded coach, almost 20 years experience) and Raheem Morris (HC experience. Ended badly however has done an excellent job since and has rebuilt his image) the NFL should brace for a sizable backlash IMO. This isn't to say that O'Connell is going to be bad. But the optics the day after the Floresgate dropped isn't good.
  7. Of course, the ironic thing about that would be- A- Minnesota just hired a minority for their GM job B- Of all the Caucasian coaches in the process now...Harbaugh would be the one coach that you could justify through qualifications the easiest.
  8. I could see that in most years. However I wouldn't want to be the next team that announces a new 1st time Caucasian Head Coach.
  9. I do NOT want Fitz as QB2. Hoping he retires, buys seasons and comes tailgating with us. It's his rightful place😂😂
  10. Minnesota going with the Giants DC now? Wonder if the Flores lawsuit is trickling in here. I would HATE to be a team with an open HC job at the moment. It's a 100% lose/lose for them.
  11. Good luck matching Allen's insatiable thirst for winning and improving himself. THAT'S the thing that separates Josh Allen from any of the 100s of failed QBs that came before him with "raw talent".
  12. I don't think he's going to be available and I know I'll get crucified for this...but bring me Minshew.
  13. If not I'm sure there is a rather profitable massage house down that way that would love to buy the Dolphins and stick it to Kraft twice a year.
  14. 23-16-3 record as a coach. Honestly that would likely get him an extension these days.
  15. This is starting to look like a good window, too.
  16. Maybe Belechick already texted him the results.
  17. Well then, to the the window to the wall. 'Til the sweat drop down my 🏈. 'Til Bele-chick will crawl. 'Til all clap-clap clap-clap McDermott 'Til all clap-clap
  18. I love his fit in Pittsburgh. Tampa has an opening now as well and a few other obvious places. Long shot possibility: I'll go with San Francisco. I don't think Shannahan is all that impressed with Lance (just may own opinion) and Lance did have some injury issues this season in the spot chances he had to play. They would need a solid back up plan. It would also give Trubisky a year to learn from that coaching tree which would help him grow.
  19. Yea, well from what may sources tell me...Finkle is Einhorn. Einhorn IS FINKLE!!!
  20. Well, I know this isn't going to be popular on these boards...but this would be a time where any coach taking that job would be wise to insist on a Marrone style "Opt Out" clause in case of new ownership or other potentially career threatening issues.
  21. Texans never known for reading a room well...
  22. Keep Tate. The right choice is:
