Cook set a personal best for yards in a game last night. Showed some explosion and promise. He's clearly leapfrogged Moss (who did not touch the ball...not even sure he saw an offensive snap). That's progression. I haven't looked at snap counts last night but I saw Shakir on the field a bit last night too. Just an estimate I'd say he had 35-40% of the snaps last night...which is right about where Crowder was before getting injured. Only 1 completion went to the slot position last night. When you have a roster as deep with as much talent at the skill positions it allows you to trickle in rookies slowly. It's a great play to both get them used to the speed of the NFL and gain trust of the guys on the team. Teams like Seattle, Houston, the Jets that you see these rookie runners starting for and doing well...they have far less talent on their teams. Hall is already out and Walker and Pierce may likely hit that rookie wall about week 15 or 16. I'm ok not letting Cook wear himself out being that I'm hoping he plays in 20 games this year.

6-1. Literally the only thing that matters. I don't care if they have a game like the Pats playoff (perfect game) or if it's a slop fest. It's football and football is rarely perfect. I'm thankful for games like last night. Beating a 2 time reigning MVP on national TV? I'll take it no matter the surrounding stories. Wasn't that long ago we were just hoping the Bills wouldn't be abused and embarrassed on a big stage when they had a rare national game. A week 8 game with some flaws is perfect to keep the Bills "growth mindset" and keep working. I swear when/if the day comes and the Bills finally win the big one half the threads start the next day will be "Yea, we won the Super Bowl....but..." and the other half will be telling us how terrible a select few of the players played in the game. It's football, take the win any way they come. On to the Jets.

I'm going to set aside the obvious players that make the list due to SA or DV reasons. They aren't even worth mentioning. The guy who tops my list is Jack Fox, Punter of the Detroit Lions. His name sounds like a 70s adult movie star., first off. And 70s adult movies were just so cheesy. So I assume Jack Fox is cheesy as well. Also, he is a Punter and if he somehow sees this message board and comes looking for me, I feel I would fare much better in a fight with a punter than an Aaron Donald or Myles Garrett. Also, as well...he is a punter. Punters aren't likeable. I think the punter off the Super Bowl winning team should get a ring from a gumball machine, rather than an actually ring. Because F punters.

I wouldn't be shocked to see the Bills stand still in the RB room. Moss is likely back active this week. If they want to make a move or there is an injury they will promote Duke from the PS. That said the one name I think is the most possible IF the Bills try and grab someone here is Jeff Wilson from SF. With CMC in town, Elijah Mitchell coming off IR and rookie Davis-Price...Wilson may be available. I would imagine a day 3 pick. If a move is made I just don't see them moving for a big name guy.

I'm old enough to remember when Next Gen type stats told us that Josh Allen was a bust, Lamar was going to be a multiple time MVP and Sam, Baker and Rosen were the future of the NFL.

There is a difference between a good back next year and a back that may have an immediate impact on the team come playoff time this year. Take a guy like Josh Jacobs. The Raiders declined his 5th year option. They're sitting at 2-4 and while they do have a soft back half of the schedule and could go on a run...you have to wonder what they would ask for him. Declining his option puts the Raiders in a tough spot. They are either going to resign him to a big contract (and I doubt they do) or they have to let him walk and hope to recoup a 3rd or 4th round comp pick. So in theory if they would take a 3rd (which would be a few spots higher than their comp pick) or even if it costs a 2nd...Buffalo could recoup that pick if they let him walk the following year. So giving up a 2nd for half a year of Jacobs and getting an extra 3rd or 4th back is not horrible value. At this point of his career Cam Akers may very well be worse than Moss. Akers sadly took the Todd Gurley career path. Rams making it a habit grinding all the gears off a RB quickly.

Ice, I'm going to shoot straight with you for a moment. Please understand that this does not come from a place of malicious intent or with the slightest intent to be rude. It's not that you aren't wanted here. From near as I can tell you seem to mean the best. But it's hard for a fanbase that missed the playoffs for almost 2 straight decades to feel much sympathy for a fan from a team that has been in the thick of things for 30 years because of the Favre and Rodgers factor. Heck, before them you guys even had The Magic Man Don Majkowski who was no slouch and better than most of the guys we had under center since Jim Kelly. Many of us watched every week. Year in and year out with no hope of a Super Bowl. Best hope we had was lightning in a bottle and a one and done playoff run. But we watched. We showed up be it a blizzard or 75 and sunny. So, and again I mean you no ill will when I say this...to see a fan of another team bypass watching their team play a game that could very well determine the rest of their season...after 7 weeks...actually forget that. Y'all started 3-1. So after 3 bad weeks to skip watching a game...that's just something that most here cannot relate to. That's some A+, top of the charts fair weather fanning on an astronomical level.

Being the most recent game it's still fresh in everyone's minds. But let's not pretend that McKenzie has only had one bad game. The issue with McKenzie is that there always seems to be an issue. I get it, the guy is a good dude. Funny. Multitalented. I don't wish ill will against him at all. I also don't think he's a guy that should be a staring slot guy on a Super Bowl caliber team. Starting for a team like Atlanta? Houston? Chicago? Absolutely. I just don't think of him as a prime time player. And there's nothing wrong with being that guy. Doesn't mean I think he "sucks". I do think he has a place on the team...but returning kicks and the occasional jet sweep or bubble screen may be his limit. They guy is 6 years into his career and still making rookie mistakes. The best thing about him right now is him taking snaps is allowing Shakir to be brought on slowly. Hopefully he's ready to overtake the job by the playoffs.

Few thoughts on last night: 1. I fully understand why Lamar wants a fully guaranteed contract. Being limited as a passer and a guy that relies on his legs his time is ticking. If the Ravens won't pay it there are teams out there that will gladly toss that kind of contract his way. Not that I think they should...but GMs tend to out think themselves and the Ravens can make a killing by simply tagging Jackson and trading him. They can finally get rid of Roman and build an NFL offense. Look at what Watson and Russ fetched. There are GMs out there that will pay that for Jackson. He is limited, but adding his legs to his game makes him still a top 10-12 QB in the NFL (though that is partly due to the poor state of QB play these days in general) He'll still get his money. 2. Greg Roman is still terrible. I understand the idea of attacking a Buc secondary that was down 3 or 4 starters. But having Lamar throw 30 times in the first half was just insanely dumb. For the most part, they weren't even throwing out of play action looks. When they (finally) went back to playing their game in the second half they took control. 3. Tom Brady is done. But this Buc suckfest isn't all on him. In the last year they downgraded at HC, lost Ali Marpet and Gronk to retirement, lost starting center Ryan Jensen, have been ripped with injuries to the WR position and now that defense is missing 3 starters in the secondary, lost Shaq Barrett to an Achilles last night. Playing in the NFC south has them still alive mathematically...but they are in major trouble next year with that roster and coaching staff. 4. On the Tom Brady being done front, it is very nice to watch him struggle on the field. Wish he stayed in New England so we could watch him face this Bills defense twice this year. Aside from Brady, it's normally sad to watch the once greats that are playing way past their expiration date. Watching guys like AJ Green and Julio Jones the last couple of years has been sad.

From a talent standpoint I'd be 100% in on Kamara. But the last thing we need is Alvin whooping some dude in Dave & Busters because they grabbed the last set of Minecraft trading cards in the ticket cash in line. 🤣 In all seriousness though, I don't see Beane giving up assets for a guy with the sort of pending legal issues that Kamara is currently facing.

Valid. However the Steelers should still be starting Kenny Pickett (Yes, he can).

Congratulations on the 30 years of elite QB play between Favre and Rodgers. I do believe it's long overdue to be Green Bay's "turn in the barrel"

The renderings had 3 buffalo statues outside the stadium. I think we can expect to plug them in along the line soon.

Tampa is down 3 starters in the secondary. This screams like the kind of game where Lamar beats up on a bunch of backups and the media fawns over his "passing skills" again. Baltimore 30- Tampa 16

This. Boyd was on his way to being somewhat forgotten until the last few weeks. Over the next month Cincy plays Carolina, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Kansas City. Wish Chase would be there for that KC game...but the other 3 are still very winnable without him.

Yup. Out wide Watkins would be operating as the #1 guy most likely. I expect a ton of passes to the backs and if Tonyan the TE is available in your PPR fantasy league pick him up. He'll likely see 8-10 short targets.

Maybe you're just easier to impress than I am? In any event he's played 2 maybe 3 "good" games as a Chief. The rest of the time he's been fairly absent. I think it's fair to say that there is some promise of upside...but to say it was successful may be a premature statement so far. Let's see how the rest of his season goes.

I'm VERY tempted to go with James Cook here. Feels like the week off was a nice chance for Dorsey to scheme up a few things for him. However I will go in another direction and go with Rodger Saffold. It's been mentioned a few times that he's spent the first part of the year playing through some injuries. I don't think we have seen him remotely near his best yet. I'm thinking the bye week gave him a nice chance to rest up and he's ready to go. On defense...to me this just feels like the type of game that Jordan Phillips is amped for. National TV, in Buffalo against A-a-ron? Yeah...big man is gonna EAT Sunday night.

Health, for sure. However attitude and motivation factor in as well. Youth is wasted on the young, my friend haha

Honestly, I shouldn't compare Toney to any of those dudes because he hasn't accomplished 1% of what any of them did in the NFL. While those guys were on their last legs...Toney hasn't even found his yet. This speaks where he may be on his own career path as well!

Toney isn't a guy to torch you, though. YAC? Sure. But Toney himself is a role player guy as well. And one with persistent soft tissue injuries at that. When you look into the future at a possible Chiefs/Bills rematch does Toney tip the scale as much as, say Tre White being back again? I think we both know that answer...lol

I'm curious to know who you mean, exactly? If you're talking Juju or MVS it's really early to chalk them up as a success yet. Lev Bell? Shady? Kelvin Benjamin? Josh Gordon? This is a desperation move that the Chiefs seem to swing and miss on every year. Nothing to see here. The Giants are starting David Sills at WR. There is no way they would let Toney go for a late 3rd at BEST in a season that they are pushing for a possible playoff spot in the weak NFC if Toney was that much of a gamechanger on a consistent basis.

Agree. Timing of the move is odd considering Juju is coming off back to back good games and MVS went for over 100 last week I believe. I think it speaks a bit to Skyy Moore being a bit of a disappointment for them so far this year. Toney has talent, for sure. However a poor attitude, poor work ethic or injuries have stalled many careers of players far more talented. And he has been reported to have ALL 3 of those red flags.
