Florida Human Trafficking
BeginnersMind replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Read my post again. Commentary on the lengths people go to here to link nothingness to conspiratorial fairy tales. Of course this is a non story. She donated and got access. Trump couldn’t know her connections or trafficking past. -
I don't even think adding one super highly compensated player works as often as you think. Teams usually let guys go for a reason. Occasionally, the reason is for rebuilding (Mack) and it works out. But if a team lets a player get to FA, it's usually because they are a problem of some sort. This year with Brown and Bell, the Steelers may be letting top talent go, which is rare. My name is Mario Williams, and I approve this message.

Florida Human Trafficking

Yang ran a chain of rub-n-tugs. Just because she sold them doesn't change that. And as I said, who the ***** cares? She has no direct link to Trump (that I know of). Peddling influence from China, if it was happening as suggested, would be *her* problem, not his. This board will bend over backwards making up stories but this one (another non-story so far) is just brushed away as nothing because it doesn't fit the Trump White Knight fairy tale. -
Spending big on FAs does not often equate to anything (Hi Kirk Cousins!). Guys sometimes become FAs for a reason and team chemistry matters a lot. What the Pats and Steelers have done is the right model. No more than 3-4 big contracts, and spread the rest evenly. Resist the big FA payday and only pay out the big money if it's a homegrown star (FU Dareus).

The gang here can go 12 posts on a hazy image of a woman on a street in Brussels ("look at her purse!"), and 6 pages on the cover-up of RBG's "death," but this won't get any attention. Not that I think it's attention-worthy yet myself. That Trump hung out with human traffickers would not exactly be news. -
Not a bad start to free agency

Short contract but I agree. Only signing that I’m at all concerned about so far. But if the worst thing they get is a below average TE for an average price, it’s OK. So little downside. -
The stupidity of Free Agency summed up in one deal.
BeginnersMind replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m all for shorter deals ala Pats and Steelers. Keep it up Beane. Can’t put enough thumbs up on this. Easiest position to replace. Got a leader. Love the Gore signing. -
Trump colluded to get a hotel built? Oy vey.

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
BeginnersMind replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hitler? Biden would have a much much better chance in the general election than the primary. The Dems will need a chameleon to pull off a win in the primary and then also win the middle in the general. WSJ noting this as well. -
Vaccines and Trump: Your stance?
BeginnersMind replied to BeginnersMind's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Agreed. This is not a simple, “You have the right to kill your kid with measles.” I’m fine with that. You do NOT have the right to kill me with measles. Please move to the Philippines. The only people who can justify no vaccine are the super super small minority of immunity-compromised people who the rest of us vaccinated folk can keep safe. -

C Mitch Morse (Chiefs) to the Bills
BeginnersMind replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And yet we all thought Groy looked good playing next to Richie when Wood went down. I still hope they surround Morse with one stud (Darryl Williams) and one hopeful. -

You keep talking about me when you said you were trying to start a campaign to get everyone to ignore me. That's pretty funny. Stalker. Forgive me. I want Oline signings *****. [Edit: Signed Morse. DR, I love you man. You're beautiful to me.] -
TE Tyler Kroft (Bengals) to the Bills
BeginnersMind replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. One starter for 8% of your free cap. Still plenty of room. -
TE Tyler Kroft (Bengals) to the Bills
BeginnersMind replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Needed a starting TE. Got a starting TE. People wanted Gronk but there are almost no players like that at TE, and none were free agents. There are maybe 3 impact TEs in the entire league. The rest are a legion of similar guys. Bills got one of those, which is fine. One less high priority for the draft. -
If the Bills can fill two of G, T, C, and WR1 in free agency, it will make the draft, and next year, a lot easier. I'm sure Beane is thinking the same thing. Worst case, you get two good guards and sandwich a rookie or Bodine between them. Can't fill all the holes in one year. Still, I want Paradis by the dashboard lights.

"I don’t know if we’re a crueler, more aggressive country than in the past. We’re certainly a louder one, and more anonymous in our cruelties. And none of it portends good." We should post here under our real names. I am all for it. -
The "National Emergency" Thread
BeginnersMind replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Me too. And Johnson was a friggin' tool. Weld would have been more appealing at the top of the ticket but the Libertarians remain hard to take seriously as a party in spite of having the platform I most agree with. Their party energy remains consumed by the potheads. -

I post here so it was as much self-referential as anything. It's OK to make jokes here, right?
