  1. McMichael is not likely to go anywhere.
  2. Channel 4 in Buffalo mentioned it on their sports report at 10pm
  3. Releasing them both saves about $10 million Convert Chambers' $5 million roster bonus to signing bonus saves $4 million. Use link in sig to see other numbers --------------------- I use an $86 million salary cap estimate and have the Bills around $7.5 million under but we are still waiting to see if McGahee and M. Williams triggered salary escalator clauses (this is why Mike Williams has been asked to re-work his deal....his cap number could go to about $9 million if he maxed out the escalator)
  4. Miami has no one they are willing to deal and that we want
  5. If he's released, he can come to B-LO if he signs a cap friendly deal. He's the attitude we need on OL
  6. I'll say that he will get traded shortly after the FA period begins. There will be a RB or two tagged and another signed quickly. A team that wants to improve their RB situation will cough up enough to make the deal happen. It will also free up $1.02 million on the cap (adjusted for top 51) and allow TD the chance to use that cap space
  7. I remember almost leaving after McDowell's INT, but so many people were trying, we just stayed and watched Kenny Davis run one in and then we got the onside kick.....we stayed and celebrated
  8. The dead cap after 6/1 assumes payment of the $1.05 million roster bonus because it's due on March 2nd (or 4th). The proration of $2,166,666 + $1,050,000 = $3,216,666. The other proration remaining as you know, $2,166,666, would count as dead cap on 2006. I personally prefer resolving the contract issue before FA begins with both Bledsoe and Moulds
  9. Why not swap positions in say the 3rd rd and also get a conditional 2006? I still think this is what will happen. This is apparently a weak draft overall, thus, a 3rd rd pick in 2005 would be a 4th rd in 2006. Move up in rd 3 and get an additional pick in 2006 instead
  10. The clause was added as a condition of altering RW's original rookie deal. Both the NFL and NFLPA approved the deal, thus I have to believe that it is legal. But, oh well, it's fun to see the Fins like this
  11. Agents approved it, RW signed it, and the NFLPA sez nada until he's sued? Nope, NFLPA should have said something long before the situation arose.
  12. Thanks.....it does take time. More time during the early weeks of FA period. That's when a lot of info becomes available (cap adjustment, tender amts, etc). I also do a cap page for FinHeaven.com
  13. When Miami acquired him, they re-worked his deal (no signing bonus) to make the incentives more reachable. They also put in a clause that if RW did not honor the deal (i.e. retire), then Miami could get the incentive money back. Now, I do not agree with Miami getting the signing bonus money, unless, of course, they are going to send it to the Saints. Saints paid it and took all cap hits from it. I agree with Miami getting the incentive money back but not the signing bonus money. I've not read anything that sez Miami will get any cap credit(s) if/when they receive the money
  14. Ricky Williams is not even listed on NFLPA.org anymore. The answer is no....he does not count on their cap Miami had no cap hit for RW in 2004 and likely not have one in 2005. When he was traded, signing bonus amortization was assumed by the Saints, RW only counted salary and LTBE/NLTBE on Miami cap. Thus, he could have hypothetically been released with NO dead cap.
  15. If you wait until after June 1st, Bledsoe pockets $1.05 million roster bonus. I want this solved before FA starts. I would rather just cut him now, take all remaining cap charges on '05, and move on. However, I'm not overly enamoured with the available FA or soon to be FA QBs and releasing Bledsoe and then signing a QB will just wash out cap wise. Hopefully, Drew will realize that it is necessary for him to rework his deal slightly. with the assurances from the Bills, that he will be given a true chance at retaining the starting QB job. I seriously doubt Losman will be ready and in order to have any chance in '05, I truly feel that with some additions on offense, Drew will be better. Get him a legitimate #3 option at WR (David Patten?) and at TE(Bubba Franks?), I really feel that will help the offense and give him more tools to work with. This will also help "down the road" with Losman
  16. Hide the Tampa teenagers
  17. Stover's signed thru 2008 2005 1000000.00 2006 900000.00 2007 1000000.00 2008 1200000.00
  18. If Bledsoe were to be released, I believe he would be available to the playoff teams. May even be subject to waiver claims and since we are still on 2004 cap year, a waiver claim would IMMEDIATELY accelerate all remaining signing bonus amortization onto the 2004 salary cap. Bills does not have $4.333 million cap space. The report may be true that he's refused the pay cut and will be released, but it will come closer to the due date on his $1.05 million roster bonus. I believe that is either March 2nd or 4th
  19. Get rid of Moulds and then hand over the QB'ing to a rookie QB..... Moulds is now a solid #2 WR. A re-working of his deal will reflect that
  20. I do not believe they can be
